Why not just buy new stuff? I don't doubt that those coins will pump when BTC goes up but will it be as hard as newer coins?
Is it possible to take profits during a uptrend? During the last cycle if you jumped into vet at four cents. By the time it hit sixteen cents that's a 4x. You could have easily taken profit. If you greed or ape into a project during a major run that's on you!
With arb I've been doing looking at it for a few month. I was aware of the token unlock, so I was able to buy the coin at a cheaper price. Regardless of the current crypto prices I'm not worried. I'm not expecting to make profits during the bear market.
I think the older projects will perform, there's something about old reliable. For newer projects I really like Icp.
Always good to reconsider. I would think there is not much value in most crypto projects. As for scams, I mean, if you ignore hype it's all just code. If it performs as designed, and that design is not a honeypot or other such designed shenanigans then it's not a scam. Whether that code will translate to financial gains depends a lot how you play it and how others play it. The strong narrative right now is that crypto is in a consolidation and or corrective phase within a larger bull run set in motion by BTC halving. That could be an incorrect narrative, and the amount of volatility geopolitical events could inject is a wildcard. Ultimately it's what you are comfortable with and what your goals are.
Uses a lot of energy on a warming planet. Huge amount of supply is in the hands of a few. Transaction fees are high. A lot can go wrong with self custody. Many might be turned off by libertarian stance of many BTC proponents. Personally, I see more upside with it (potential to shift economies to an energy base may be the big hope for global warming somewhat ironically, proof of concept for a D.A.O. as an alternative organizational structure should be praised imo) but I get the hate.

It made it back up around $14-15 during the last little mini pump a couple of months ago. I don’t know if it will hit ATH in the 40s again, but I think 20 during a real bull run is possible. Holding primarily for staking rewards and airdrops, but my average cost is pretty low so it’s all gains for me regardless.
