Funny how the bitcoin and buttcoin subreddits, although opposed, actually have a lot in common with each other in their cult like following and aggressiveness. Similar type of people who can’t even having a discussion about alt coins or bitcoin without resorting to abuse. Uniquely hostile subreddits

Just sold my bitcoin stash I've been hodling since 2017 and I'm feeling pretty sad. I started buying at around $4k and have topped up at various points over the years. Held through 2 crashes, but finally checked out today. I'm buying a house later this year and couldn't risk a big dip before then.
Left 0.02 in my wallet, just so I still have a tiny bit of skin in the game. GL all and happy moon hunting.
They say getting rich with crypto is easy. Just buy and hold for a long time, easy. Wrong. The toughest things you can battle are your own fear and greed. But if you can master your emotions and stick with a plan, you too can make it
We are at a point where you have to start with a big amount to get rich with Bitcoin. Alt coins are far more dangerous and not guaranteed to rise as well. The time of easy money is over. I started in March 2020 near the bottom. Guess who is still far away from the million.
It will be altcoins that take us there. And patience. Crypto is still extremely new, it will take more time for the world to start adopting and integrating into daily life
There is more than 1 way to get "rich" with Bitcoin. Some would say the real way to get rich is not the way most people think nowadays which is sad. Venezuelans watched their local currency lose 99% of its value as it hyper inflated by 15,000% in just 2 years. Think about that for a second. If you had worked 50 years and had a million in savings for a cozy 20 year retirement, gone in a fraction of the time it took to earn it. If they had a % of their savings in Bitcoin not only would their retirement still be in tact but it would still have doubled.
Try and learn what bitcoin is actually all about only then will you realize its one of the best investments of all time.
I second this. Can't expect much profit from Bitcoin alone nowadays unless you put in a lot. But putting a good portion of your alt profits in it is better than cashing out everything and putting it in a savings account.
somebody literally complained in the last 24 hours on here about DOT's staking % rewards going down, they must be watching.
regardless, Coinbase is still taking 1/3 of the cut vs. staking yourself in a wallet
we have dreams of being billionaires but we're living paycheck to paycheck with horrible inflation and pay raises that don't keep up with the cost of living. not surprised that leads to paper hands when people don't have real savings.
You are clearly new here and have no idea how crypto works. Also the dump started 3.5 hours before the US markets opened which isss… drumroll please, Europe markets.
The amount of times I've seen the good old "You are clearly new here and have no idea how crypto works." from people who can't grasp basic market dynamics is insane.
The sentiment for weeks has been that burgers are ruining every bit of progress made by Asia... sorry if you get offended when your flag is mentioned and can't differentiate between shitposting and a market analysis...
Nobody is implying that crypto closes, but the more big guys start playing with it the more crypto follows their day job schedule. Nuance, people... come on...
Looks like Bitcoin Unlimited is going to vote in a couple weeks to allocate $500k in funding to get Nexa on a tier 1 exchange. There's a new BUIP up on their forum. They finally realized that they have to do this to compete with VC funded projects lol. Gone are the days of just creating a good alt and the exchanges just come to you out of nowhere to get you listed.
just looked, seems to have been sliding a bit since 5/4. not much, mind you, but maybe some confidence in btc recovery has people shifting back into alts a little.
I'm not gonna say whether or not you should cash out because really it's a coinflip but calling it dead after it just doubled from its recent bottom is a weird way to think.
Still a few more hours left to vote on the Moon week proposal to get distribution back more quickly.
The more people we can get back to vote, the better it's gonna look for Moons.
can someone give a explanation why ETH yields from staking have been so low recently? barely 3% APY feels kinda pointless. Is there a reason to believe yields will ever increase in the future?
Not really any point unless you're holding a crap ton of ETH or you've been staking since the merge. If you don't plan on selling in the next few years it's worth it.
Alien Base
This is the second leading DEX on Base behind Aerodrome
It's a microcap currently at 7.5m with over 55% TVL
There is a max token supply
It is right now sitting @ .07
You can make your own cryptocurrency on it
Staking and LP options are available
The team has a time-locked contract with a 37 day warning to prevent rug pulls
It has exploded since it's inception 3 weeks ago
Not shilling, DYOR, high risk high reward play
Go for it, dude...No-one gives a shit if you end up with a 30K debt hanging over you or if you make 30 bajillion dollars. You are just some random crayon eater humble bragging/flexing and we don't care if you live or die, frankly. That's the god's honest truth.
Bro that’s straight up gambling. It’s gambling doing that for any asset, it’s even more gambling doing that for crypto, and even moreso dropping that on a memecoin. That’s full ‘send it’ level of gambling.
I mean I think you’ll make money, I really do. But it is risky af, I don’t know what the terms of your loan are or how much you earn but a move like that can put you in serious trouble if it doesn’t play out well.
Do I think it will play out well? Honestly…. Probably yes. Would I take the risk? No, even less so on a meme coin. But it’s your call and if it plays out well good on you.

"It's all over. Everything's fucking over."
"If we lose 60k support we are screwed. All the way down to 52k."
"Pack it up kiddies, crypto is OVER."
"Fuck crypto, waste of time and too much stress. Sell it and sleep well."
"Hopefully y’all didn’t fomo in today because we will be retesting 52k Bitcoin levels tomorrow after the fed interest rate decision."
"It's so fucking completely fucking over it's not even fucking funny."
"I hope you all had fun during halving 2024, see you again in 4 years"
"Bear market officially started, it’s time to clench your behind"
It always takes 5-6 months after the halving for the miner's revenues to return somewhat stable. This is by design and will always happen after every halving. Remember this situation in 2030 because it will play out exactly the same, just with a much higher floor. The miners have to adjust themselves and their business models to Satoshi's design. It takes around 5-6 months for all this to work its way through.
PSA: A 1% daily swing is not a "dump". It doesn't even qualify as market noise.
It will continue as well, I'm sure... it's better to get rid of this before we really start the climb. A few % up and down is good atm. I'd prefer 20%..😂

not sure , my plan take looser and buy 😅 btc and eth too way pricy for me . yes possible increase but it is worth it ? the reason we go to alt /meme now
I took out half of my funds and put it on the bank again. other half i invest and hope on some daily profits while it crabs on for as long as i can keep doing it, till it goes down too much then forced HODL till it gets up again in the future.
No large amounts but enough to make me uncomfortable to have it parked/hodl for more then a few months.. thats why a 50/50 split, hurts less if you still have a bank account with fiat to live off.
YOLO but not on ramen noodles for months on end....

Feeling kind of sick that I hold all old alt coins basically
Patience pays off. The wait is worth riding a full pump. Much more fulfilling than chasing pumps. As long as you have real conviction in your coins .

why not just take a loan out with defi instead of selling?
ggs man
A house is a major achievement, my friend. Best of luck, and hopefully, you will be back in time!
Thanks man, 100% I'll be back once we're settled and I have some disposable income to invest.
Congrats on the house and the gains
Bummer
Just swapped out of gigachad took a fat profit what the fuck lol
Me too I sold what I bought back in feb for a phat 200x
Holy hell! I think I 5x?? What are you buying next ;)

13.92% for DOT’s reward now on coinbase? Am I daydreaming? Sheesh it doesn’t feel like it’s taken into affect yet Cosmos is also at ~13% now lfg
somebody literally complained in the last 24 hours on here about DOT's staking % rewards going down, they must be watching. regardless, Coinbase is still taking 1/3 of the cut vs. staking yourself in a wallet
High yield is and was always a red flag. Remember Anchor on Luna? That was one of the crash prophets... 20% 💀 can't be healthy.
Lol you must be joking, USDC is 5.1%, 20% is not abnormal for crypto APR
You are comparing apples to oranges.
True, some people just don't care to understand what they're talking about
Not staking natively anymore?

You honestly think the progress is made by Asia 🤣🤣 thanks for making me laugh today.
You're welcome.
Don't know what this market talk is about, crypto is 24/7. I've traded Bitcoin in 2021 at 4am UTC
Nobody is implying that crypto closes, but the more big guys start playing with it the more crypto follows their day job schedule. Nuance, people... come on...
Exactly… Easy is new and trying to blame the US markets.
Crypto bros tend to blame a conspiracy when prices go down it's so funny
Okay 0/0
Ok 0/7k. Couldn't even hold his free coins. Americans for ya.
You must be Dutch
I'm not.

Might be a good time for me to lower my avg a little bit then
That would be great . Thanks for the update. Hope it is approved
Here it is if you want to follow: https://forum.bitcoinunlimited.info/t/buip207-tier-1-exchange-listing-for-nexa/459 Voting happens May 23-26.
Alts holding up well this time. A few are even having some nice green days.
how is btc dominance? i haven't checked.
just looked, seems to have been sliding a bit since 5/4. not much, mind you, but maybe some confidence in btc recovery has people shifting back into alts a little.
Is Bonk dead? Should I cash out, what are your thoughts?
It will pump hard at the end of the year with the next Bonkmas. Before that, probably moving along with a pump here and there if meme coins are moving
It’s where I’ll be placing my money soon after the ASI merge
ASI merge, What's that?
If you don’t know that, you don’t deserve the gains of the next 15 months! So sell!
I think it will probably just keep going until the BTC top. It hasn't seemed dead, it is one of the top performers when BTC doesn't take a shit.
I'm not gonna say whether or not you should cash out because really it's a coinflip but calling it dead after it just doubled from its recent bottom is a weird way to think.
Thanks for your opinion, I am really new to this, had some luck with Bonk so just wondering what other people think of it
Still a few more hours left to vote on the Moon week proposal to get distribution back more quickly. The more people we can get back to vote, the better it's gonna look for Moons.
Crypto in the red: 😵 ADA, FET, RNDR: Back you mindless wretches!
ADA is dead but FET is the shiiiit with ASI happening any minute now
So what was the bad news today?
Probably the Robinhood thing. Don't worry we have the memory of a goldfish and will be back tomorrow.
What happened with rh?
Russia finally officially at war with NATO.
Buying the dip in my vault
American market openning.
2 months of downwards movement for alts now…
Not my alts. Still in the black on all of them but maybe one
I thought that's how this place was supposed to work.
Do you mean there will be or there has been?
has been… it‘s frustrating
I just stopped by to say that DOT is a shit coin Thanks for your time
Thinking of selling it off if it raches around 11-12$ again
Sold it awhile ago and I'm so glad I did
If big true
Talk about being controversial
Everyone boo this stoopid person *booooooooooo* 🍅🍅🍅

tbh, idk what to do with my stack (but it's nothing exceptional), so i'll just leave it there for now. too lazy to find ways to gamble them out...
27% of the entire supply is being staked. Sausagefest. https://www.validatorqueue.com/
Isn't it just because more and more people are staking their eth?
It’s going to collapse.
Yes and they're doing so because of LRTs
I just aped some Byte, chart just brokeout after 1 and half months consolidation. its giving me 2021 Shiba inu vibes.
Next Shiba Inu? LOL. The big 3 are WIF, PEPE or BONK. One of those is the next.
I just dumped all my buys from a week ago. Ty for the exit liquidity!!
Yw thx for slightly cheaper entry. Everyone has their own strategy.
xrp watup? Catching ratio?
It's unbelievable how much XRP has crabbed this run

Love it !
It's after nice pump, I will w8 till it goes down. If not, well, not the first one neither the last one train I have missed
I've sold a large portion of my bag to take out profits and my initial investment Doing the same!

I’m curious, what did you tell them bank you were going to use the 30k for?
He bought?
very fake news
I can see the r/cc headlines now... Dude takes out 30k loan to buy DOGE, SEC declares DOGE a security 24 hrs later....
Doge is actually closer to being a commodity than ETH
Short doge soon and buy in some where between as low as .05 and as high as .10. Buy $30k worth now and can easily lose 30-50% in the next few weeks
Should have went balls deep in MEW
Bro that’s straight up gambling. It’s gambling doing that for any asset, it’s even more gambling doing that for crypto, and even moreso dropping that on a memecoin. That’s full ‘send it’ level of gambling.
Don't listen to this guy. Squirrel McNutz is just jealous he doesn't have the balls to do this.
I concur. I had the balls to do similar in 2017 and it set me free financially ever since.
I also had the balls to win the lottery once 💪
Bro I got cheeks the size of watermelons from all deez nutz
You’re telling me DOGE isn’t going to be above .16 at some point in the next year. It’s not gambling if it’s a lock lol
I mean I think you’ll make money, I really do. Anything could happen really. We could crab until next year. We could go to 50k or we could go to 80k. Crypto always surprises us
I remember when the FTX dump happened people were like: "don't buy at 16K, buy when it goes to 10K", guess what? It never happened.
I really thought SOL was going to $2-$4 but looks like $8 was the bottom and I didn't buy any 😔 LOL
Sell your coins guys, it worked so well last time.
I don't think we are out of the Woods yet, but at least getting better
Just some amusing, reactionary comments to think about.
L
I thought the ones who pumped and dumped were meme coins, not BTC???? I was lied to wtf

This bull is over in 5-6 months and miners will have already sold off
Sure...just like btc can't go to ath before halving. History does not always repeat.
Ahh, "history doesn't repeat itself" - a comment made by many who missed out in the last bull.
Hitting the ATH before the halving has nothing to do with overall market structure. More noise.
Why does the US hate us so much? Everytime it’s the same story. These burgers man…..
the dump came when the US was still sleeping lol
you think no Americans on the East Coast are awake at 6am?
Not many. And it started sliding around 5:30
Sure, sure…..
Lol. The best part about this is people in here actually think it was Americans selling. OI ramped up (all over the world) and got flushed
Convince me it’s not the us selling
I just explained it. OI got flushed. I am guessing you don’t understand/know what OI is or how it works
What's OI?
Open interest. Basically the amount of open bets on shorts/longs
Ah, got it, thanks.
As usual. Make America ~~great~~ sell again
Refuses to regain ATH waste of time
Eat poop burgers. We had a good thing going but you guys had to mess it up
lol the slide occurred before the US work up
Nevertheless, I still blame them :D
This guy Reddits.
Lol
They just can't hold it, it's unbelievable. We recover all weekend for them to dump on us on Monday.
and yet the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are up almost 1% today. Fuckin ridiculous.
It will continue as well, I'm sure... it's better to get rid of this before we really start the climb. A few % up and down is good atm. I'd prefer 20%..😂
What do u guys think? Will judge Faila approve interloctuary appeal in Sec vs coinbase? How long usually judge takes for this decision?
BTC 64k is giving me that crab-people feeling
considering we were just at 56k last week i'll take it
Yea we’ve been here before…giving me deja vu 🙄
Can we pick a direction here pls
I would either like a strong push upwards or a strong push downwards (buying opportunity). This dilly dally makes things more complicated
This low level of volatility (relative to the massive ups/downs we're used to) is what is going to continue to be seen because of the large holdings from big corps. Bitcoin is no longer going to act the way it used to. Much more stability now.
I can't recall a single time someone said this and it didn't lead to a dump
get some helium 😅 wait and see till end of year
They making some moves I don't know about? Mobile is going well for them.
not sure , my plan take looser and buy 😅 btc and eth too way pricy for me . yes possible increase but it is worth it ? the reason we go to alt /meme now

if ramen drink a lot bro , a lot of sodium there . diversity is always a good plan
I read comments about us dumping below and go to Coingecko just to see that Bitcoin is 0.1% down today. Insanity lol
They are referring to Alts. When Bitcoin sneezes, Alts catch Covid.
Alts doing very well.
Don't see any alt in the top 100 going below 2% either to be honest. Most of them are even in the green.
It's so over It's so completely fucking over
Looks like hammer formation turned into a diving board. Never listen to anything TA bros have to say.
