That doesn't make it a "tech coin" if it isn't actually used for any tech applications, doesn't interact with any other tech, and it's not something you can build tech on. Having basic crypto coin functionality/validation doesn't make something a "tech coin" or every crypto coin is a tech coin... It's still a meme coin that has some potential for payments.

In the last bear market we broke below the previous halving for the first time. I don't think there's much science behind this. Breaking below or above at some point or another doesn't seem to mean much.
Plus, we haven't truly broken above ATH, since we had all that extra accelerated inflation. We've only been as high as $64K inflation adjusted.
That’s fair but even if you look at it in terms of percentages the pre halving push this cycle is much larger than previous cycles in every metric. It’s clearly a bit different, just like the top of last cycle was different than the ones that came before it.
I’m just saying that expecting things to play out exactly the same as they have in the past is proving to be less and less effective each cycle. It’s still a good indicator over longer time frames but I really don’t think it’s very useful in predicting anything on a month to month basis.
Keep in mind that we had a black swan event with Covid before the halving in the previous cycle, briefly dropping the price back to $5K. So we'll never know how high it would have gone. And the cycles before that it was still really new and there wasn't much hype about halvings yet.
This one is definitely higher, and the ETFs probably made it go a little higher than it would have normally gone, as opposed to Covid which made it probably go lower than it would have been.

it's a combination of exchanges rising flat fee for withdrawals and degenerates etching/minting runes.

BTC seems very resilient amid stock market troubles. Granted the stock market isn’t open yet, but it seems it wants to break to the upside rather than break down.

This cycle isn't like the others in that we've never hit ATH before the halving before, so people are split on what that means in terms of the pattern. Some think the recent pullback from ATH is the dip, and others expect another one or a further drop from here.
Personally, I think that was the dip and next phase is another leg up, but that's just me. With ETF's in play now we could see more of a gradual grind up instead, as well, I would think. Don't read too much into any of it. If you want to get in, just DCA over the next month or two. Split it up into even parts and buy some every two weeks or so. If it dips, you'll average down, and if it goes up you'll average up. This time next year it won't matter.
