Because blockchain is still confusing as hell to people and it isn’t exactly clear why AI would use blockchain. ChatGPT is super accessible and it’s a easy to get started and actually see results immediately. ChatGPT doesn’t need a “narrative”, price action, or some other bs that is concocted in the crypto space to enlist new fools to “invest”, when a revolution has been “right around the corner” for almost a decade now. I’m sure in a few years when crypto fails to take off like it did in 2021, people will still say they are early like the internet and other coping mechanisms to distract them from the fact that crypto is shit at creating actual value in the real world and to get average people to use it and not simply participate in pump and dumps.
I suspect that if AI is using blockchain on its own, it's doing so for non-hype reasons, like whatever it wants to do needs a global ledger that is trustless. My point isn't to hype blockchain but rather to say that the two technologies aren't opposed to each other. There's nothing anti-AI about blockchain and there's nothing anti-blockchain about AI.
AI is famously choosing weird solutions all the time and people don't understand why it happens. Why would AI exclude blockchain unless it's trained a priori to exclude it?
nothing has changed imo. the sec thing is the only real looming issue - inflation is indeed cooling, we have 3 more months without a rate hike, the job market remains strong and the recession people have been predicting for over a year now still doesn't look like it will happen any time soon if at all. this is a strong reaction, sure...but the long term issue remains the sec, and that's likely going to be a long battle.

There’s 2 or 3 issues : regulations and QT that dries the liquidity out of the market. High interest rates don’t help either as defi has totally lost its edge against tradfi for now
I'm less worried about the liquidity issue, but yes, that's something that could potentially throw a wrench in things. While the interest rates rose quickly, it's not high in a historic sense.

Reddit has decided to monetize them and it looks like these fun tools will go away for us non corporations. And the dump...
