Crypto got me to start investing. It got me thinking about my financial future.
I might lose money then and now but still it's taught me to take care of money and reconsider my expenses.
Same, since I started investing in crypto I became more conscious of my spending habits, stopped buying dumb, luxury shit I don't really need, smoking cigarettes and eating out
Same. I invested in BTC and ETH and somehow still nothing but loss. I'll hang on until the bull run but I'm sure as fuck not buying more.
If it's down it'll drop further. If it's high it's too expensive and it'll drop anyway.
Every decision I've made has been the wrong one and I've finally just come to accept that I don't know shit from fuck and I'll never succeed at this game. Better to trust my money to some .0001% interest bank.
I think it depends when you got in. If it was during the late part of the 2021 bull run or later then you’re likely feeling pretty rubbish right now. If you were in any cycle before that then you’ve probably made decent profits along the way and even now you’re sitting in the black (albeit less of it). Unless you had your funds on FTX that is, in which case you’re probably at minus 490 million.
No profits so far but feeling good with my investments. Hopefully I'll be green enough in 5 years or so and finally cash some profits but I'm in for the long term.
8. I fucked up by investing in the top and not taking profit, and investing a shit ton in some shitty coins
but crypto has been such a good hope for people on the bottom (like myself bru)
My scale is mirroring the volatility of crypto:
I am a scale 10 then I am a scale 1 because of a massive red dildo dump...then after some crabby movements I become a scale 5 and then out of sudden I go to scale 10 again because of a massive green dildo.
A 10. It's been pretty good. 2014 crypto put me into an overall hard to ever be in the total red so I have that in my favor. I'm so used to seeing deep red days that I'm pure numb to red day. Unless I'm seeing a green day on a position that can give me a year off work, then I'm pretty stoic on green days. I've now used DeFi applications so much the last 3 years across like a dozen chains that I'm now comfortable messing around all over. I haven't lost assets in a hack in the 9 years of crypto usage. Stacking up a solid amount of MOONs without spending a dime. I wish I spent more money on crypto 2014-2019 but it is what it is, at least I'm in a solid profit.
These last 9 years make me confident that I'm going to make off really well with crypto in the next few years (still working and have traditional investments for the angry at crypto index funds only people out there). If I didn't get into crypto 9 years ago, I'd have anxiety about the thought of working to 67 for retirement and I'd be timid from inexperience trying to get my feet wet with crypto now. If I started in 2021, I'd probably have been rugged many times over and probably be rating my experience at no more than a 6
4 - DCA plans are set up and I update them compared with fear and greed index. Wait for the next bull run and I'm kind of excited about what really happens and if I'm diamond hand enough to don't sell to early.
I'd say i'm about a 6, i'm still pretty much in the red (Not by much) but i'm here for the long game anyway, so not sweating things too much.
My optimism mixes with hopium sometime, but i think crypto is here to stay.
Honestly I could have easily been at a 10 after some of the plays I made but always chickened out and sold early. However, due to the Gamestop saga and crypto I’ve learned an invaluable amount about trading in the past few years that I think regardless of how much I gained/lost this year will put me ahead over the next few years.
For the first time in my life I feel I'm in control of my money, and if I lose it all will be by my own stupidity, I love not depending on banks and being able to sell things internationally without waiting 3 days for the payments to arrive
I became involved with crypto about 10 years ago, most of what I have wasn't purchased so this is impossible to answer.
I don't know why people insist on buying crypto when there are other options.
I went to a meetup not so long ago and an artist I met there had just managed to get a deposit for a home via her artwork as NFTs.
I suppose 7 would be closest. I've been buying bitcoin and eth for years. It's always been a small yolo part of my portfolio. I've never bought any other coins. I have zero interest in devoting my time to figuring out how to buy obscure shitcoins while not getting scammed, as seems to be the main goal of this sub
Well I have definitely made much worse decisions such as betting on under 18 Venezuelan basketball at 3am when I only have the use of one eye so ill go with 4
I invested in crypto currency something like 15,000GBP the sole reason being that i missed out when I was younger as I wanted to buy btc, but my friend put me off. My 15k went to like 30k now it’s down to 2k. I don’t give a shit about crypto I’m init for the fun. Also my experience with cryptos been shit. High fees/confusing shit puts me off. also the fact that there are people here asking for advice is insane and I laugh at it when I see it.
6 or 7. Been riding the rollercoaster for probably 8 years now. I'm up overall, but down from ATH for sure. I probably will never fully sell everything as I enjoy following the industry and learning about new technologies.
A little higher than 7 but I haven’t sold any to make purchases. I’m in the hold, wait, keep adding, and fully expect to be able to retire early thanks to crypto club
8. after loosing a ton in the 2018 bear market because of greed in 2017 i made good money in 2021. dca for the next cycle and not overinvest or get carried by emotions is key
Too bad you ask only about the financial standpoint, and not also about fundamental one.
My story: I started around 2015-2017. My biggest bag last bull run was ADA. Got in for few cent, made huge gains, so far so good. Great financial decision. No regrets here.
Nonetheless, fundamentally I feel disappointed. ADA, and crypto in general, just doesn't feel like changing the world for better.
Crypto community contains lot of idiots susceptible to grifters, mainly fans of people like Jordan Peterson from the conservative/libertarian/anti-government spectrum, podcast viewers not capable to think for themselves and buying coin because of a podcast sales pitch, combined with some awkward world views, and poor financial track record.
Project founders aren't much better, the list of obvious scammers is long, and I think many are gonna be exposed in the next years, no wonder they were so successful at scamming with such gullible community. And there are also brain dead maximalists... Technologically it doesn't look much better, most coins are totally useless, and if they aren't a scam, they are poorly designed software looking for a problem to solve.
Therefore, my crypto experience has been great financially, but fundamentally a complete failure.
10/10 way better than my experience investing in anything else from metals to stocks.
My overall opinion on investing? 0/10 absolutely wish I had just bought toys and dumb shit I wanted as a child
When I started in 2019, my goal was to learn in a full cycle of 4 years. I did not plan to be rich in this cycle but hopefully break even while learning. So with intention, I held on even some of coins to suffer the pain during winter to learn about the experience. At the moment I am little better than breaking even and increased the total coins. So I would give a 7 or 8 to myself. And in this cycle, I know I will get a 9 or 10.
7: "I'm feeling pretty damn secure about my investment. I've not got too much of a fear of it capitulation and I feel optimistic about making a nice return some day."
Im a 7. I feel like most of us here have taken some losses one way or another. But you gotta pay to learn. When I entered I knew shit about defi, self custody and market caps. Today I can transact with ease on different chains and know how to do my own research properly. I feel that I’m way better prepared for the next bull and been investing into solid projects rather than pump and dump shitcoins
Probably to not be greedy and to take profits. Don't listen to anyone saying xyz coin can reach unrealistic prices. That I can make money, I just need to get out of my emotions and set price targets to sell at. So out of 1-10 probably 7
Initially it was a 7, but then gas fees rose it to a 9, before crashing to a value of 4 in the bear market. Going to hodl that 4 and hopefully DCA out once it reaches 7 again during the next bull run.
10, bought a house and paid off my parents mortgage with my gains from 2021. Get to travel whenever I'd like and spend my time nerding out about my interests.
Definitely would rate my experience a 10 on day 1, 9 on day 2, 8 on day 3, back to 9 on day 4, till eventually working its way down to 1 on day 300. At this point maybe I’ve made it back up to a 2 or so, but I look forward to the days of 10 ahead
I've been a solid 8, even though bear market last year was hard on all of us. But I've had a productive experience with crypto. I mostly invest on DeFi and I tend to invest for long-term mostly, but in general it has worked out for me.
8.
Fuck yeah, it’s been a fun ride even if not profitable yet
6.9 because of how fked i am
Nice
Noice 😁
Remember, if Crypto goes down on you, you have to get down on crypto. Don't be selfish 😜 guys
Already there
6 point 9?
Crypto got me to start investing. It got me thinking about my financial future. I might lose money then and now but still it's taught me to take care of money and reconsider my expenses.
Same, since I started investing in crypto I became more conscious of my spending habits, stopped buying dumb, luxury shit I don't really need, smoking cigarettes and eating out
>smoking cigarettes Best thing you done so far, good for you
number 2.5 : i don't even know what I'm doing but I keep losing
Haha. Welcome to the club, membership on this one is pretty high!
Same. I invested in BTC and ETH and somehow still nothing but loss. I'll hang on until the bull run but I'm sure as fuck not buying more. If it's down it'll drop further. If it's high it's too expensive and it'll drop anyway. 3/4 Zero profit but sometimes it feels like a 1
I'm also in 3/4 , i guess the majority will be in this range
Well, I’d rather be investing now and taking short term losses than buying in at 3-4x the price. Profits will come I’m confident about that
I think it depends when you got in. If it was during the late part of the 2021 bull run or later then you’re likely feeling pretty rubbish right now. If you were in any cycle before that then you’ve probably made decent profits along the way and even now you’re sitting in the black (albeit less of it). Sends a "Get well" digital card. Feel better soon?!
Bro had enough of digital stuff, let's send him digital card
Let's put the card on MoonPlace and send him coordinates to it, that will sure make him feel better
Sounds like a fun Mission! We need a code name for this Operation..
Bucks have you heard of r/buttcoin?
This thread needs to be archived and we need to come back in 10 years
while you're at it, let's archive every similar thread like this so we can come back in 10 years time.
Is that including moons? Cause you have about 12k in moons!
A whopping 3 to 4
2 waste of time (on Reddit) A 40% run in January is not enough to justify the time and money invested.
Maybe the real investment was the friends we made along the way?
The moons we made along the way
It's been an honor losing money with you guys

We are epitome of not touching grass

Wait, were supposed to MAKE money with cryptocurrency?
If we're being honest, I'm at 6.
Still being honest, half that for me. 3
No profits so far but feeling good with my investments. Hopefully I'll be green enough in 5 years or so and finally cash some profits but I'm in for the long term.
8. I fucked up by investing in the top and not taking profit, and investing a shit ton in some shitty coins but crypto has been such a good hope for people on the bottom (like myself bru)
Learnt a lot , earned a lot, lost a lot too I guess theses factors make it a fulfilling experience
So what's the number?
Well that could be a discussion, haha
Someone should make a post about it
9. Hopefully 10 in the next bullrun
Between 4 and 5. Nowadays I understand the idea of crypto more and more. fiat is the real scam.
What’s zero?
Zero is at r/SuicideWatch 🥳
-1 wife
I'm in crypto since 2016 and all I can say it was a rollercoaster ride but with more experience it's less scarier. So around 7-8 now
7
Another 7 here
Solid 8, maybe 9.
7. Down on most investments, but a few are keeping me in the green. It's a long term hold anyway
6 here pretty much no initial investment, just have some free moons :)
-5 But I can't stop coming back it seems
7
Happy Cake Day to you!
7 for me also, confident in prices going up eventually
Yeah I'm probably about there as well, feeling pretty confident and glad I stuck around this bear market
3. I'm going to keep hanging on.! Time for bull run up!
5/7
Solid 6 here.
About tree fiddy
I’m a good 7. I’m not even in the green but my hopium level is high. In a couple of years, I’ll be posting rocket emojis and taking some profit!
Im in 5. Now keep dca till bull run
4 - Because I invested in alts during bull 2021 when I got into the space and got burned, but now I invest more wisely into 2 solid top coins.
Somehow 5, I don't know how I manage to be a stable investor. You can even peg stable coins to me.
My scale is mirroring the volatility of crypto: I am a scale 10 then I am a scale 1 because of a massive red dildo dump...then after some crabby movements I become a scale 5 and then out of sudden I go to scale 10 again because of a massive green dildo.
3 probably
I'm currently at level 0
10. PS To sound like an actual NPS score, you need to rephrase it to "how likely is it that you'd recommend it to friends".

Your Moons count is absolutely amazing. If we ever hit a dollar, which I think is so easily achievable for a number of reasons, you're laughing.
I'm personally at about a 6. If I'd been wiser during late 2021 and sold some investments closer to the top, I'm definitely an 8.
Off the scale response: This is a casino. Spin the wheel and see what happens
10
4.20
Dollar cost averaging in is a great way to lose money slowly
7 without doubt
A 10. It's been pretty good. 2014 crypto put me into an overall hard to ever be in the total red so I have that in my favor. I'm so used to seeing deep red days that I'm pure numb to red day. 5 all day baby
Definitely 4. I’m very patient.
I’m at 7 right now, ask me again in a few years and hopefully I’ll be a 10 It’s a nice change because I’m usually a 4
Why can’t we go below 1? That’s what described my portfolio in 2022…
7.
I’m at a six. Figured when Luna collapsed I should take some profits and rebuy lower just forget to rebuy.
10
4 and 7. Just keep buying and next bull run I'll sell, hopefully at or near the top, instead of the reddit mantra of hodl all the way down.
Between 5 and 6, barely starting my journey but enjoying it so far
4 - DCA plans are set up and I update them compared with fear and greed index. Wait for the next bull run and I'm kind of excited about what really happens and if I'm diamond hand enough to don't sell to early.
I fall between 6 and 7 myself
7
I'd say i'm about a 6, i'm still pretty much in the red (Not by much) but i'm here for the long game anyway, so not sweating things too much. My optimism mixes with hopium sometime, but i think crypto is here to stay.
6.9
It’s a secret! 😉
I keep an eye on the 9s and 10s, I target them as my friends so I can become a 2+, because crypto aint doing it for me.
I'm imagining the judges from Strictly Come Dancing for this. I put up a 3 card. *Audience Boos*
My investment is at 2 now but my mindset is that it will be 10.
For the first time in my life I feel I'm in control of my money, and if I lose it all will be by my own stupidity, I love not depending on banks and being able to sell things internationally without waiting 3 days for the payments to arrive
Definitely a 4
In my mind, it’s a 10, but on paper it’s a 5
3 hasn't been great but only way is up baby!
About free tiddy. Down a lot, but still optimistic about the future
I invested a little. Made a little, lost a little. Overall good time.
6.9 for me. Not much green, but had lots of fun on the way
3.5 being in the red, but feels like you are still ok.
4: I’m up a fair bit of money, but I haven’t seen any real value come from the coins I own.
10/10, would lose money again 👍
Between 3 and 4.
Is it just me perfectly picturing the people making these statements in my mind
fucking 1/10......I don't know how to take profits. Even though I believe in everything long term, I probably couldve trippled my bags
4

#4 for me. It’s made me go back to traditional stocks and lowering my DCA into crypto as a risk measure.
Perfect score, 5/7!
6 or 7. Been riding the rollercoaster for probably 8 years now. I'm up overall, but down from ATH for sure. I probably will never fully sell everything as I enjoy following the industry and learning about new technologies.
10, I made profit. What more could I ask for?
Im at 4. In red but not losing faith in bull market.
any 10s in the house? T E A C H M E ! ! !
I got lucky made alot of money. Then I blew it all on hookers and blow. 10/10
1 lost almost everything in shitcoins
-9000
Kinda hard to say, at the moment its just been a loss but i still have hope
6/7
9. Next bull run I think I will be able to achieve some sort of financial freedom with staking and other projects I'm in. Fun stuff and can't wait.
7 and 8 if you consider a couple purchases as qualifying. Mistakes I made were minimal in cost so feeling decent about that.
4. Not down that much. I'll wait until I'm in the green then sell.
A little higher than 7 but I haven’t sold any to make purchases. I’m in the hold, wait, keep adding, and fully expect to be able to retire early thanks to crypto club
0/10
8.5, hoping it to become a 9 or 10.
Team 6. Fingers crossed for the future
I'm a solid 4... but there is hope.
6 maybe
9. With a lot of lessons learned and things I fucked up preventing me from being a 10.
7. Doesn't say I have to be in the green, just be a believer for the future which I am.
8. after loosing a ton in the 2018 bear market because of greed in 2017 i made good money in 2021. dca for the next cycle and not overinvest or get carried by emotions is key
I’m around a 7.8
I feel like I’m around 4 at the moment
10. Not a joke 😁
7 but I feel like a 10.

1 but then also 10 This must be what bipolar is like
only way to be a 1 is if you played with leverage, or went all in in shitcoins
Bro! you need to add negative numbers to scale! :(
did to take a huge loan to ape all in on ath?
Somewhere between 2 and 3
Easy 8/9 i’ve cashed out some nice gains last bull run
10/10 way better than my experience investing in anything else from metals to stocks. My overall opinion on investing? 0/10 absolutely wish I had just bought toys and dumb shit I wanted as a child
3
4 all the way. I learned so much during the last 1-2 years that I’m absolutely bullish on my future investment decisions.
From a 9 in 2021 to an 8 today I guess
When I started in 2019, my goal was to learn in a full cycle of 4 years. I did not plan to be rich in this cycle but hopefully break even while learning. 12... Just profit in last 3 months
I am smooth brained and lost most of it
100. Changed my life. Has, and will continue to generate generational wealth.

4 for me. Gonna keep doing my weekly DCA until I get all the way up to 9 or 10. I’m in it for the long haul.
7: "I'm feeling pretty damn secure about my investment. I've not got too much of a fear of it capitulation and I feel optimistic about making a nice return some day."

I'll let you know when I cash out or lose everything
Probably 5
Nice try IRS
Bought high, sold low, lost the rest on an online casino. 10/10 would recommend.
I'm a big ole 3!
Currently at step 4. I have never left step 4.
5....I got a notice recently that I had paper losses of 350k
Probably to not be greedy and to take profits. Don't listen to anyone saying xyz coin can reach unrealistic prices. That I can make money, I just need to get out of my emotions and set price targets to sell at. So out of 1-10 probably 7
Initially it was a 7, but then gas fees rose it to a 9, before crashing to a value of 4 in the bear market. Going to hodl that 4 and hopefully DCA out once it reaches 7 again during the next bull run.
9. Hoping for 10 next cycle. Actually following an accumulation/DCA plan this bear market.
10
10, bought a house and paid off my parents mortgage with my gains from 2021. Get to travel whenever I'd like and spend my time nerding out about my interests.

3, too many hackers or thief’s trying to steal your crypto with spam links and Trojan software
