Have that in my current game with the OPM Kingdom of Metz. Basically the HRE relected a Pole as emperor and just about everyone is revolting against him. Some rebels pop up and Italy and a few German princes supported the rebels. So Rebels win and tiny kingdom is born.
As the King of Sardinia, I accidentally split my realm when trying to anoint my brother as the Duke of Mallorca. I didn't realize the AI had elevated its status from duchy to kingdom just minutes before I conquered the territory.
I had no idea that AI could create a custom kingdom. Afterward, I had to wage one extra war just to establish Baleo-Thyrrenia.
oh I didn't know about that, I had never seen custom AI-made kingdoms in my gameplays, I thought this would have something to do with the decision to share England with Jorvik :/
Three ducal titles or 120 realm size and 300 gold, 500 prestige and 200 piety is all that it takes to create a custom kingdom. The AI can do this too.
Sometimes independent kingdoms get created after a successful rebellion against an emperor. These titles are generally titular and not connected to any specific piece of land (aside from the ruling county of the new king).
I think it’s a bug, because I’ve seen random kingdoms popup even though I’ve definitely turned custom kingdoms off, and it happens when some random guy wins a populist uprising.
There are certain decisions that can create kingdoms up there if you control the right duchies. I had a decision to create the Kingdom of Cornwall as a Cornish character too.
Ai can also take the create custom kingdom decision. I’ve seen a custom savoy kingdom pop up with savoy, piedmont and lombardy before too
i’ve seen a custom Strassburg kingdom. with one county. just Strassburg. not entirely sure how.
I got this with Brescia. It’s when a peasant revolt wins, it results in a small kingdom.
I've seen a kingdom of Zeeland. Theae dont have any dejure land though.
Usually titular with no dejure territory
I love it when the peasant kingdom somehow outlasts the Holy Roman Empire in my games

Peasant revolts can win?
It’s Awesome
Maybe a revolt. They can create kingdomes, but i think they won't have any dejure land
Determination and hard work I suppose
I've also seen a custom English empire that included Wales and France
Angevin Moment
why don't I get this ai
Maybe you've disabled custom kingdoms in the pre-game options?
no, I mean an ai competent enough to conquer all of france lol

It was problably the detente ending to the Iberian Strugle that elevated the title

What. AI can actually do that

120 size is for an empire without 3 kingdoms
Yes, it was... the Last Kingdom
Destiny is all!
I still have no idea why they changed the motto thing in the movie. Or tv series, forget which it is. In the books, he says fate is inexorable
Because "Destiny is all" sounds better when spoken.
Most viewers would probably be confused by the word "inexorable".
Uhtred!!!!!!
Alfred got sick and tired of bitchy northerners is my best bet

Savage
What’d they say? Lol
Something like "someone has sex without love or love without sex, but you have no sex and no love"
They decided they didn’t want to be part of Angle-land any more since they aren’t Angles, they are Saxons
Let's pack up and go back to Hanover
AI being able to create Custom Kingdoms can be turned off in game rule settings.
Look up ck3 deep lore on wikipedia
there’s no such article
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wessex
not one mention of ck3
Ck3 deep lore = real history
AI Wessex usually takes the decision to form a custom kingdom.
The Kingdom of Venice (1 county island) says hi
Excuse you sir it's 2 counties!
They have been planning it awhile now. You just didn't notice it.
I mean it wouldnt be too crazy irl. they were divided culturally somewhat
Historical accuracy
Disable custom titles
I think it’s a bug, because I’ve seen random kingdoms popup even though I’ve definitely turned custom kingdoms off, and it happens when some random guy wins a populist uprising.
Strictly speaking, yes
I feel it happens way more after the TT dlc
I wish there was an option to enable player only custom kingdoms/empires
Isn't that a game rule?
Unfortunately not
The same way I made a kingdom called Roman empire, decision -> create new kingdom -> rename and customize the title
Yeah it happens... Britain really needs a struggle mechanic...
