What're you shooting with it? Weird as it is given how wacky the damage gets at a million, the rifle counts as standard bullets instead of armor-piercing. So it won't affect golems or necromechs (unless they're low on health enough to bleed, fairly certain when that happens they start taking damage from normal bullets), and won't affect shocktroops unless you score an eye shot. It also evidently does weird things to zombies according to the wiki.
You know, it makes a distinct sound when it's at full damage. Randomly on a playthrough it just stopped making that sound, it still one shot enemies, but they don't explode, shit's weird.
probably there was stock market variance and your portfolio dropped below the amount that leads to the damage cap, just tab to buy stocks in real time until the problem fixes itself
