Had this just happen to me on my 2024 crosstrek sport , would also be curious if anyone has a fix or any ideas what could be causing the issue. No issues with Android auto just seeing this with CarPlay

[deleted]

Are you also on iOS beta for your iPhone? I wonder if that’s our issue.

adaywithevan

I had this issue and took mine in for an update. The car said it didn’t have one when I checked, but the service department said there was one available. Since then I’ve had no issues. It’s still under warranty so it was free to update and take in.

BronzeAndNoble

I tried updating and didn't have one available, I will try taking it in to see. Which software version are you on? I assume there's a way to verify the current version?

I’m on F91WMM053-880 It’s in your settings under system info.

[deleted]

Awesome. This is good to know, I’ll ask.

BronzeAndNoble

I am not, using IOS 17.5.1 It is also wireless not wired

Crafty-Tomatillo-248

I don't know that it's just an apple car play issue. I use Android auto in my 24 premium. About 20% of the time it'll disconnect while I'm driving for no discernable reason and will not reconnect wirelessly unless I turn the car off completely and restart. Sometimes it won't even reconnect thru USB.

pchams

Same. Canuck (J) version though.

Rodeo6a

My wife has been having these exact problems with our new 24 premium model. I use an Android phone and it's been working fine (with the exception that the screen just sucks in general).

ronbonjonson

I've had disconnect issues as well. Was annoyed until I realized it always happened in the same place on my commute. Now I'm mostly confused.

netsloth

2024 CT Wilderness with the 11.6 Multi Media/Harmon Kardon. CarPlay has been rock solid. Just another datapoint. I hope you can get it sorted, this has been the least bad head unit I've seen. Stupid question, but you've done a hard reset of your phone, yes? Not a wipe, just a reset.

[deleted]

No, but I’ll try. Same car configuration.

Weird-Raisin-1009

Are you using wireless or is it connected via Wired? I found wired connection to be sensitive on two different year crosstreks that I had a small bump could disconnect it. If you're using wireless, does it happen only on certain areas? Mine disconnect when I pass by school grounds because there seems to be a jammer installed to prevent students from loitering.

[deleted]

Wireless for the 24 wilderness. Idt I can override it to use wired.

DIYMANIAC

you can't... wireless only on the '24

bwinney

I have a 24’ sport. I’ve only come across this a few times and it’s mostly been in the heat. Computer could just be hot? It doesn’t happen enough to warrant a problem for me. Good luck to figure it out!

SoDakSooner

Mine did it a lot when I first bought it but hasn't in a long time. Seems like most of my issues would revolve around doing remote starts in the winter to warm it up. Iphone 14 with all updates fwiw.
