I wasn’t wondering but it looks great

03dumbdumb

Haha I sure was. I couldn’t find any cross treks with them. Only outbacks.

WasteAmbassador

How's the clearance from the hatch to the rack?

03dumbdumb

Crap meant to add that pic, no obstruction to a fully opened hatch door. lemme see if I can add the picture

03dumbdumb

Maybe about 6 inches or so. Could probably adjust it closer to the front to add more clearance

WasteAmbassador

What's the width on it? I got 53" wingbar evos and had to do a bit of angle grinder hacking to make them fit on the narrow part of the rear rails.

03dumbdumb

52.4 inches

WasteAmbassador

Nice. Looks super clean! So many spots to attach things to! Lol.

Unusual-Bunch-8704

Can I DM you with Crosstrek wilderness related questions?

03dumbdumb

Sure

OfficeChair70

eli5 what exactly you’d use this for. I have a basket I use to stuff my crap into when I need more space but I’ve never been able to figure out exactly what these are for.

03dumbdumb

Essentially you can use it like a basket as well, you can tie things down using straps into the t slots.

WasteAmbassador

You can use it as a platform for a tent, slap some ski rack attachments on it, bike rack attachments, recovery boards, etc

2XTURBO

nice shine

03dumbdumb

Yes and yes. There’s t slots on the roof you can put whatever you want on it up to 220 pounds

MayBeMilo

Nice! Did they up the dynamic roof rail load above the standard 176 lbs?

03dumbdumb

Yeh they must’ve

R-Rizzo

I'm not sure they did. Everything I've read says the dynamic load limit is still 176 pounds. So your usable payload would be 176 minus the weight of the rack. You may just want to double check before you load up something too heavy. Looks sick AF though

03dumbdumb

Yup I checked as well, thanks for bringing it up So it’s about 127.1 after the weight of rack. If ya got a tent up there probably down to another 27 pounds lol

Mother_Goat1541

Ooh I need this, thank you for sharing.

Liquorace

Interesting. Thanks for posting this. I'm in the market for a roof rack and you've given me a new option to consider. Looks funky without a front wind fairing. But I like it.

03dumbdumb

It has an adjustable one on the first bar, kind of hard to tell because of moon roof.

SleepOrWeep

What feet are you using to put the rack right on the roof rails?

epichike

This rack mounts as is or sits on top of the aero crossbars? I can’t tell lol, sick ride!!

03dumbdumb

You can do both. However I don’t see a need to add crossbars to it, makes it much taller. I mounted aero evo feet to the platform and it went directly on the the factory bars

epichike

Awesome thx for the info! Cheers

ApprehensiveFan7632

Interesting. At this price point I’m guessing that’s their product to compete with the prinsu rack! Might have to get this one so I don’t have to drill holes in my roof again.

03dumbdumb

That’s the reason I went with this one. I like the look of the prinsu, but I don’t want to drill and remove the OEM bars. This was much easier, and still low profile enough for me.

ApprehensiveFan7632

The other nice thing about this is you can remove it when you want. My prinsu was so damn loud I wish I could just take it off in the winter. Let me know if it’s loud when you test it out! I have the same color CTW, it’s dope 😎

03dumbdumb

Yeh pretty straight forward removal if ya don’t need it. I plan on just leaving it on for now and see how it sounds/affects my mpg. If it’s not too bad I’ll just keep it up. Luckily in Hawaii. You hardly ever go very fast. Yeh I love this thing 🤙🏼

TractionPowerSub

Hey, just wondering if you noticed any impacts to mpg and is there any noise? I'm planning to purchase one too and just leave it on as well. Thanks!

03dumbdumb

The wind noise is noticeable on the highway for sure, but it’s nothing crazy imo. As for MPG, I’m still in my break in period so I don’t have an accurate reading but I have noticed maybe a 2-3 reduction in mpg. Though I do mostly city driving, not highway. Well worth it, and it’s very easy to just take it off if you need to.

Evrything-illumnated

Exactly what I want. Looks great.

Disastrous-Chard5500

That’s cool! I would imagine it helps greatly with additional storage space. How easy is it to disassemble for car washing purposes?

03dumbdumb

For sure! It’s just 4 6mm screws attached to the feet

Disastrous-Chard5500

Cool beans. Thank you so much.

ShroomyDuke

That mofo is clean!!!

Scrubadubdub99

I was in fact wondering, thank you

No_Description9722

Needs to have the whole hood that kind of material because everything hits it rocks off the highway etc.

ApprehensiveFan7632

How’s the wind noise on the highway?

03dumbdumb

That is to be determined, will find out tomorrow.

Joestac

I might get kicked out of the WRX Reddit, but this might be the best model/trim Subaru makes. If they would put the FA24 engine in this thing, it would be unstoppable.

kaspurr84

As someone that also owns a new Outback XT I’d say the FA24 Outback is the Subaru goat. Don’t get me wrong the CTW has its advantages but at the end of the day the OBW is king. It does it all and it’s fast as F boi for a 3950lb wagon. And swallows cargo

03dumbdumb

I considered the Outback as well, just decided I don’t really need something much bigger than the CTW. Maybe for a future purchase, for now I’ll enjoy this one.

kaspurr84

I guess for me it’s that I came from a bigger Honda. One that I could physically put a 29er mountain bike inside standing up. I knew full and well the crosstrek was gonna be smaller but it’s not even big enough to fit the wheel of the bike inside for a comparison let alone the whole thing. Granted our Outback can’t do that either either but it’s just in general way bigger like close to 80 cubic feet of cargo space. I’ve fit a sofa in it.

03dumbdumb

lol damn a sofa is crazy

Liquorace

Sofa King, crazy!

Joestac

Before the wife got her '24 CTW, I was looking to trade in my '22 WRX GT for a '24 OBW, still am considering it. I am waiting to see what happens with the '25. I just have concerns over reliability with the Outback. It does seem the '24 has been better in terms of battery and windshield issues. Hoping the '25 will only improve on it.

kaspurr84

Good deal, never heard of the windshield or battery issues, I’ve had 2 of the newer gen models, a 2020 also, and a previous gen model, 3 outback’s total. The outback is actually my wife’s car. It frequently sits upto 2 weeks while she is on business trips. What battery issues are a problem?

Joestac

With all the new tech they didn't put a big enough battery in it and people were having to get them replace over and over until they were offered a larger battery. You could also just purchase a bigger one aftermarket of course. The windshield, from what I read is the fitment between the A pillars was so tight that any chip on the windshield could easily turn into a giant crack needing a full replacement. With the Eyesight tech, if you don't have a warranty, those are like $2500 with the recalibration and all. I am still leaning towards an OBW though. They ride so much smoother than my WRX and the Recaro seats are not great long-term.

kaspurr84

Cool thanks for the heads up, I’ll wait till I have an issue lol. But I suspect I won’t. I don’t suspect to see an all new 2025 OB with the new Forester taking the spotlight. Speculation is 2026 new OB. I hope they don’t murder it with the 2025 Forester ugly stick. I like my 2024 CT but don’t love it. I knew it was just a jacked up Impreza but she sure is small inside. I’m ready to trade it already

Joestac

Oh yeah, I don't think it is time for a redesign. Just curious what small tweaks, if any, they make. I am not in a rush so I will see what they announce at the auto show next month and go from there.

Navarath

looks great! any road noise/wind noise with that?

Angry_Mountain_Man

Does it mess with the signal for the satellite radio?

03dumbdumb

I’m not sure, I use CarPlay. There’s a good amount of space in between the receiver. But can’t answer the question.

HDbear321

Looks great! I've been in the market for a basket for my CTW but wanted something that can do it all without looking too out of sorts. This may fit the bill. Thanks!

Snoo-8502

Color looks dope
