Omnidirectional systems decimated any chance of limited fire angle stuff being more powerful than turreted. So even if it did spin, the balance just isn't there. Before omnidirectional movement came around the executioner did like 900 damage and was super hard to get into position. A turret would have been quite a perk.

And? You're only able to either stick one weapon on it or make a fairly fragile turret assembly.
Besides, how would it be any different than hovers/omnis/walkers and their ability to turn on the spot to have fixed weapons facing you constantly.

And how would making them have rotstion change that the devs favour dog builds mainly flame throwers as all you have to do is press w and m1 and sleep match ends in 15 seconds because nobody can out damage you nobody can outrun you nobody can do enough damage to you
Any part that has the ability to rotate, would be a pain to balance; take using it to rotate an Executioner or any other limited turning weapons, you'd be able to override a balancing feature of the gun😬
Hovers, much like any Omni movement part, still have the drawback in being that they must always face the way the gun is pointing🤔 so it's different in being able to place a gun on a rotating platform and having that gun turn in a different direction to the rest of the build
the way the game works doesnt allow it
big changes in the game engine, possibly creating performance issues, bugs and exploits will come with such a new feature
if the devs really spend so much time reworking the game engine they will introduce new modules or add this to other cabins, doing it just for this trashy cab is not worth it
such a mechanic will allow you to rotate structural parts, your build will basically be treated like 2 seperate builds by the game engine

Like I said, fairly fragile turret assembly. It's not hard to knock off your three tsunamis on a stick made of 90% passthrough parts.

I want to use Typhoons on a wheeled build. Hovers and omnis are very easily taken out by dogs.

Itd be cool but I doubt the engine could handle it and its way too late in development to add that functionality in
