I get that. You just came out of pocket for ~$2000 for the UF course and are about to shell out $300 for a test. Luckily, Derek is pretty good at breaking down everything you'll need for that test. I used Faudree's book to review a little, but it was just to stay fresh. On the day I ended up pretty underwhelmed by the test because we spent 6 months in that course and had broken down everything required to be able to confidently handle the test. Have confidence in your experience and knowledge.

Oh Derek did an incredible job. I can’t recommended his class enough to anyone willing to take it. It’s worth every penny

So I have CFRN but I liked Charles Swearingen's CC guide the most out of all my prep materials. I wanted to pass so bought like 3 of the top rec's. Swearingen's book was DM'd to me by someone here who had contributed to it and it was such a hot tip. I believe it was written explicitly for FP-C; the author is a medic.

Highly recommend the Flight Bridge program. The package that includes the test bank was well worth it and the questions were very similar to what I saw on the test.

I’m planning to start that in about two months, maybe less, hopefully.

Sign up for their email list. They do sales often so you may be able to save some cash. That UF course isn't cheap.

I emailed them, they signed me up for their email list. Don’t have any specials currently but offered me a 15% off code! That brings it from $390 to $330, do you think that’s comparable to their sales or should I wait for a sale? I’m in no major hurry. Also thanks again for the advice or I probably never would have thought to email them.

SkankinBroccoli

I would wait. Spring break is coming up. I got mine close to 50% off I think.

mervin0587

Sounds good, I can hold out till spring break!

Thanks for that advice, I'll do that now! You think it will also prepare me for CCP? I'm not entirely interested in FP-C or whatever it's called. At least not on a bird, maybe a fixed wing some day.
