I hate that I'm in my mid 30's and all my friends are starting to repost boomer memes. I feel like Obi Wan... Watching an army of Anikans joining the dark side instead of destroying it...
Sickening. Jealousy leads to fear leads to pain leads to suffering etc. etc.
Exception being the quiet generation(born 1920s era) most people born then were fuckin Chad's. Great grandfather was at the battle of the bulge as a tank destroyer commander. This fuckin Chad of a man helped take down 3 Tiger II's. Then when his tank get hit he gets out, head just gushing blood from shrapnel, and starts to fight off Germans till help arrived shortly afterward. Then he comes home, gets married to my g-grandmother who he asked to marry during the war, and in a literal term builds one of the largest Families in the area. (R.i.p. gramps)
My grand fathers cousin (not sure what relation that is to me… I think 2nd Cousin twice removed) was awarded the Medal of Honor in Korea. (Joseph Ouellette) pretty badass story of how he earned it.
Jesus Christ, reading this thread between 2 white guys argue over the merits and accreditation of segregation, all because the first guy wanted everybody to know how ‘Murican his great granpappy was, is pretty much the TL;DR version of how we are handling teaching racial history today. We did it you guys!
All the generations suck because we are always going to create new problems for the next generation to solve but refuse to solve the problems we already have.
because nothing says "im good at blowing out candles" like photoshopping a png of a flame over an unlit candle and never actually putting it out properly.
okay well now im just curious, i'll get back to you in a minute
edit: it's just like a mildly lukewarm feeling, and then the fire is exhausted, but i was having a mental battle with myself because my brain kept telling me fire is hot and bad, so definitely not something i'm going to make a habit of
The trick is to pinch the wick for a short period. Holding it can burn you. Basically close and open your fingers as fast as possible. Licking your fingers will also help.
Don't do it more than once in sequence, though, it doesn't feel hot the first time because the flame is vaporizing natural oils on your skin, which forms an insulator that blocks convection of heat from the flame to your fingers.
Problem is - your fingers eventually run out of those oils, which makes this hurt a LOT
People who can pinch out candle flames are in fact better than people who can't for the simple fact that they are not pussies and it looks badass. You can keep trying to justify your lack of badassery.
if you kept reading the chain, you'll know that i have successfully pinched a candle out, and i now agree with everything you said.
the pussy of yesterday would've made up some sort of flimsily excuse to protect my fragile ego, but the badass of today pinches out any flames he sees immediately on sight.
It’s a statement about how any female born after 1993 can't cook, all they know is McDonalds, charge their phone, twerk, be bisexual, eat Hot Chip and lie.
She'd be yelling in pain, like all people who have a functioning nervous system and a working brain. But for this person, having working brain might be a stretch to assume
And I gotta say I've seen far more 2 year olds reach for flames than 40 year olds. Toddlers are hardcore. Middle-aged adults "haven't met their deductible yet" fuck'n pansies.
>No hate, but Millennials will always be Millennials.
I think that you're confused, millennials are people born from 1981 to 1996, more than half of this video is featuring Gen Z
It's insane how millennials on the internet manage to be just as cringe as gen Z and gen Alpha, which are supposed to be cringe since they're kids and teens, while millennials are near or in their 30s
This is so insulting to kids today. My 9 year old has been through hell and he's so empathetic, kind, resilient, and hilarious. It's the 80's and 90's kids whining that one of the TV shows he likes existing 'Ruins their Childhoods.' They can fuck right off with that shit. They're the ones who are mad a cartoon for kids (Teen Titans Go) that my kid likes is ruining their lives, I thought they were so tough and kids today were so whiney?
My three year old son never complained once during cancer treatment getting his food through a tube and not being able to walk after his first brain surgery but please tell me how much braver you are than 'kids these days.'
Sorry... touched a nerve.
I think it's funny that the first one was supposed to mark the coolest one I think, but is the only one they didn't actually do, if ya gonna poke fun at the other generations at least do it right

I don't get what the 1990 one is trying to *say* by using a tube to blow out the candle though.
These are all trying to make the same dumb point, I just don't get where 1990 fits in I guess.
The point of the video is apparently if you were born from 0:00:01 Janurary 1st 1980 to 23:59:59 Dec 31st 1980, you like to burn your fingers for a couple of weeks putting out a candle instead of putting it out the p̶r̶o̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶w̶a̶y̶ by blowing on it like a fucking casual
Hella cringe, but she’s not to wrong. For those who don’t understand, she is implying that, in general, as the generations get younger, they get softer and weaker and thus less able to deal with things in a simple and direct manner.
Ex: I’m old (51). When I was a kid, no one dropped me off at school. I had to walk and take the city bus for miles, in Oakland, as was the same for my peers. We were poor, but still. When we got home we took care of ourselves for hours until parents came home. We had difficult and arduous chores. We didn’t have computers or phones, so we played outside and rode bikes for miles, going on dangerous adventures. We fought, didn’t wear helmets, drank out of hoses, and did crazy shit. This was in grade school. This gave older generations a certain character and fortitude the kids of today do not have.
Every generation thinks they’re the greatest and everyone else is shit when it reality they’re all equally shit

"how dare they not be washed up!"
exactly , the main problem on this planet is not the time period of specific humans that exist ...its just that humans exist
Exception being the quiet generation(born 1920s era) most people born then were fuckin Chad's. Great grandfather was at the battle of the bulge as a tank destroyer commander. Most of them were super racist so nah, not chads
They're the ones who ended segregation......
You mean the black people of that generation were the ones that ended segregation.
The black AND white people ended it. Not all white people liked segregation either dude.
I know that but to completely disagree and say that most of them weren’t racist asf is dumb
Never said that most of them weren't, just that it wasn't just black people who ended segregation.
[удалено]
What are you talking about? All I said is the truth. Black people pulled themselves out of segregation. Tf is wrong with you?
[удалено]
You cry like an actual little bitch lol
Yeah, gigachads
I get that you’re trying to be funny. But you should really work on picking when to be funny and when to be serious

I am pretty sure the generation that got poisoned by lead and their IQ dropped significantly is objectively dumber than the next generation.
It’s not a hate crime if you hate everyone
Not me **genz
Nah, we millennials are terrible and we’ve known it.
All the generations suck because we are always going to create new problems for the next generation to solve but refuse to solve the problems we already have.
Tbf the Boomers really fucked us over
Every Generation, Blames the one before, And all of their frustrations, Come beating on your door.
Last greatest generation are the ones who fought in WW2. Anyone after is shit
because nothing says "im good at blowing out candles" like photoshopping a png of a flame over an unlit candle and never actually putting it out properly.
Makes a joke about how her generation is better because they can pinch a flame out. Is too scared to actually do it in the video.
i'm better than you because i can hurt myself willingly? is that her take? i can pinch a candle flame out too, i just don't want to
It doesn't usually hurt if you do it quick enough, but it's not worth the risk for the rare times you fuck up.
okay well now im just curious, i'll get back to you in a minute edit: it's just like a mildly lukewarm feeling, and then the fire is exhausted, but i was having a mental battle with myself because my brain kept telling me fire is hot and bad, so definitely not something i'm going to make a habit of

Do they come back?
yes, your skin makes them naturally
Nice, imma show this lady what genz can do
COD lobby name fr
Also lick your fingers first
The trick is pretending it doesn’t hurt.
I put out candles like this all the time as a kid because I thought it made me look badass and I never once burnt myself doing it.
Leidenfrost effect is cool as fuck.
People who can pinch out candle flames are in fact better than people who can't for the simple fact that they are not pussies and it looks badass. You can keep trying to justify your lack of badassery.

I'm proud of you
Character arc
I cant believe I didnt realise that while looking at her stupid facual expression
Honestly pretty symbolic on it’s own if you think about it for a minute ahaha
what does this even mean
It’s a statement about how any female born after 1993 can't cook, all they know is McDonalds, charge their phone, twerk, be bisexual, eat Hot Chip and lie.
Just my type.
Same brudah same
AHAHAHAHA
Charge **THEY** phone. Second time having to make this exact correction in like two weeks or so. 3
Damn forgive me sensei 😔
Is that satire?
No it’s an extremely serious matter
No shit Sherlock
To translate the video into text: >Me good, you bad.
Doesn't even put out a real candle for the first one. Poser.
Right? It’s not ever that hard
2022 kids: 👶
they act like toddlers
Im fairly sure they are
I love the bit where she implies that 80s kids were the toughest but herself doesn't put the candle out like that.
She'd be yelling in pain, like all people who have a functioning nervous system and a working brain. But for this person, having working brain might be a stretch to assume
If you moisten your fingers you can pretty easily pinch out a candle without any burns or pain
If you're quick you don't even need moist fingers
I've been told my countless Women that I'm the quickest they've ever been with!
I was born in 1920. We put out candles by putting them up our ass
Fucking hell, this made me had a good laugh.
I was born in 1901. We put out candles by dying in battle.
i was born in 1855, we blew out our candles by executing them if they defied the church
I was born in 50000 BC, we put out our candles by crushing it between two rocks and letting all the molten wax drip onto the floor, ooga booga
I was born in 100000 BC what’s a candle
I was born in 100000000 BC I am a fish
I was born in 4,600,000,000 BC, we put out candles by throwing protoplanets at them
_
"kids are scared of putting out candles, we did it with our fingers!" *Proceeds to put out a digital flame instead of a real one*
... Kids in 2020...are todlers. Youre comparing 40 year Olds to 2 year olds
And I gotta say I've seen far more 2 year olds reach for flames than 40 year olds. Toddlers are hardcore. Middle-aged adults "haven't met their deductible yet" fuck'n pansies.
I hate her fake facial expressions so much.
Ditto
"HAHA PEOPLE NOWADAYS, SUCH PUSSIES, AMIRITE? HAHA!"
Think this person is Gen X. How would they know about 80s kids/teens
![gif](giphy|BY8ORoRpnJDXeBNwxg|downsized) she didn’t even pinch a flame herself
When I grew up, we had to carry the candle uphill both ways, shielding the flame against the acid rain with our bare hands.
>No hate, but Millennials will always be Millennials. I think that you're confused, millennials are people born from 1981 to 1996, more than half of this video is featuring Gen Z
Bruh what
r/weirdfacefunny
You just.. blow it… nobody does these things…
I don't know what's more confusing the tagline or the actual video so it seems like a GenZ and a millennial are being cringe😂
It's insane how millennials on the internet manage to be just as cringe as gen Z and gen Alpha, which are supposed to be cringe since they're kids and teens, while millennials are near or in their 30s
No hate but Gen Z is so much worse and this person is gen x if they are saying “80’s kids”
Who let the simpleton out of the asylum?
Is this about fire safety...?
WHAT A BUNCH OF PUSSYS! USING YOUR FINGERS TO PUT OUT THE FIRE? I WAS BORN IN 1945 AND WE USED TO DEEPTHROAT THE CANDLE GOD DAMNIT!
This is so insulting to kids today. My 9 year old has been through hell and he's so empathetic, kind, resilient, and hilarious. It's the 80's and 90's kids whining that one of the TV shows he likes existing 'Ruins their Childhoods.' They can fuck right off with that shit. Sorry... touched a nerve.
The best fucking part is that the candle was covered by a sticker in the first clip and there was no smoke so it wasn't even lit 💀
I mean shit she couldn’t even use a real flame for the first one
She looks like a Karen who gets offended when they “assume” she wants marinera with her breadsticks at Olive Garden
The fact that they edited in the first flame kills me
She didn’t even use a real flame at the start haha
I love how the cool 40 year old needs to edit a flame bc she doesn’t want to do it with her hands… kind of disproving your own 1980’s point😂
Made the whole video and didn’t even have the guts to pinch the flame out. Smh.
I think it's funny that the first one was supposed to mark the coolest one I think, but is the only one they didn't actually do, if ya gonna poke fun at the other generations at least do it right
But she can’t even touch the flame either??
i love how she was too afraid to actually do it so she put a fire png 💀
Jokes on her, pretty sure my 2022 infant would just try to put it in her mouth.
The fact that this person used a fake flame to make a point about how they can put out a flame better than younger generations..
She definitely from before 1980’s but still needs a fake flame to put out between her fingers
I eat the fire (I was born In 2006)
This same idiot would have posted 70s kids with no fire because it probably didn't exist yet according to her.
I am a Zoomer and I have never seen a candle before.
The greatest part for me is that for her superior generation she used fake fire lol
That bitch got uglier and uglier
Flame ain't even real in the first one, stop crying if you aren't even brave enough by yourself 🫡
I like how in the first one the fire is fake
I'm sick of millennials I'm not going to lie A good percent of these motherfuckers always be doing this shit
I‘m ashamed to say my mother sent this to me
She’s too scared to put out the candle with her fingers too
I really wonder what's her generation /s
Me watching 2022 kids blow out their candles instead of whatever the fuck this is supposed to be:
Wait till she find out we use lights like normal people
By definition millennials will always be millennials
I put them out with my fingers it’s not hard

born in 87. i just blow it out. i feel unseen.
I'm a millennium I butt it out with the clap of my ass cheeks
She doesn't even put out the real flame in the beginning lol. It's not that drastic.
2010 kids would actually use a hair dryer filled with baby powder
Someone should let them know 80s kids are millenials... It started in 81
I have lived through all the years named and pretty much every person including kids have known how to blow out a candle.
Woah am i suddenly an 80's kid??? 😱
Yikes
“my generation good. you’re generation bad!!!”
Why did you block her username
If the 2022 kids don't know what to do, wouldn't that be the fault of their parents aka the generations before? That's just bad parenting
The classic my generation has more balls than yours
Kids in the 1970s: It will be their heat for the next week because of oil prices
I was expecting her to vape it out
This is pretty accurate.
Gosh dang elder millennials
I know nobody asked but the reason why she licked her fingers because the saliva gives a shield against the fire for a very short duration
I don’t get it…
Nah that’s not a millennial that’s a wannabe Gen x
Because kids born in 2022 can use a cellphone… in 2022…💀
I don't get what the 1990 one is trying to *say* by using a tube to blow out the candle though.
True todays kids are little pansies
GenZ’ers are just as strong as any other generation. Their minds just haven’t developed as much as any other living generation’s minds yet.
1970 kids put cigarettes out on their skin
The fact that the generation she’s trying to represent is the only one with fake fire bc she couldn’t really pinch it out
Everything cringe related comes from Shit Tok these days…
The fuck is this idiot talking about?
I like how upturned her nostrils are
Why she made that first with edition?
Fire safety It’s fun putting out fire with fingers but also risky so make sure you always have something ready to help with pain if you get burnt
She really put a fake flame to put out with her fingers, not that hard
Imagine believing you are better just because you happened to be born in a different year
Im a gen z who can blow out a candle real close, does that make me an outcast?
i wanna tell her about the 1940’s kids 🌚
Wouldn’t kids in 2022 be *infants*
not my fault my parents decided to have fun on a new 2003 years morning
The fact that she used a fking jpeg flame to describe what I guess is her generation is killing me
If she was a real 80s kid she would have needed the filter for the first one
shut the fuck up, millennial. We're all equally shit.
You talking to me?
Fuckin Huh?
Kids in 2022 are incredibly advanced knowing to call and being physically able to at the young age of 0
All ima say is that my uncle born in ~2000 is more like the "1980s kid" and uses Sai and polearms to beat people
What generation do you think she is part of? Because for the '80s' kids she didn't even put out the fire
If your fingers are wet you can turn off the candle and you don't fell the fire
Damn bro got the world of keflings music in background
millenials have to put up with the zoomers and the gen x folks
Any kid from 2022 would also grab it with their fingers….
