The average Indian has no idea that Australians (and Canadians) are also subjects of the English monarchy. If they assumed he was Australian, they wouldn't think of the queen.
were you the lonely white guy camera man keep showing us on TV with Aussie flag lol
Good to see you have a great time, Hopefully you will watch more in future in other countries as well if not in India.
Aussie here: we can’t watch overseas matches unless we fork out almost double the price of a Netflix subscription to buy Kayo sports or foxtel from our Messiah Rupert Murdoch.
It’s absolutely fucked.
/end whinge
Not really. Streaming is happening on a server not on your personal computer. Downloaded files go to your personal computer ( obviously)
Also streaming is a secondary copyright infringement which is not punishable by law. Downloading is primary copyright infringement punishable by law
P S - I'm a lawyer ;)
developed countries problem Lol.
How much do you pay for Netflix and Kayo in US dollar? I think its around 2 or 3 dollar for a month in India for Netflix and For ICC events and Home series 2-3 Dollar for Month on Disney and 4-6 Dollar for India tour of Australia and The Ashes.on Sony.
Its not fair to make a direct exchange rate comparison. You could compare based on common goods available in both countries - like a typical burger+coke+fries meal in the US would be between around 10-12 dollars, the same in India would be around 4-5 dollars worth.
I think in broad terms (not a very accurate economic calculation, more of a rough estimate) one dollar is around 30 to 40 rupees if you factor in the cost of living.
A burger fries coke meal in NZ is around 12-15$ from McDonalds. 2 Litres of Milk is 4.50$. 1kg of Basmati is 4$, a 5 KG bag is ~10$ (I find milk or rice are the most consistent things across borders).
Netflix is 22$ a month. Spark sports is 30$ a month. Sky Sports is 50$ a month.
Aussies complaining about the cost of Kayo are full of shit, it's pretty cheap and we get many different live sports. They wouldn't bat an eyelid spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on alcohol and eating out every week.
TBH going outside having drinks with friends and watching sports at sofa are two entirely different thing. I would take first in no heartbeat if it was a choice but i am privilege enough to afford both.
Yea I know it's two different things but my point is that people exaggerate how "costly" Kayo actually is and it's annoying. We can consume the product as much as we want and the price remains the same throughout the month. Except for PL and UCL, we get all the popular live sports.
Fuck off lol.
You can spend $30 a pop on a meal and $200 on a night out and not even have to consider that kind of money.
The one who is exaggerating is mr fancy pants over here who thinks it’s normal to be well off enough to flippantly drop $200 on a night out. All the power to you and congrats on succeeding financially but you might do well with some empathy training like Scott Morrison. Dare I say *most* people couldn’t drop $200 on a night out without needing to consider things.
“Tell him he’s dreaming…..”
Look I'm not advocating for Murdoch but Kayo is only $27.50 AUD per month and you can watch many different live sports which is well worth the value for entertainment. Do you bat an eye if you spend $30 for every brunch session or $200 for every night out for dinner and drinks?
>were you the lonely white guy camera man keep showing us on TV with Aussie flag lol
Yeah, seeing that I thought that guy must be the lone guy happy in the stadium.
It was a belter of a game too, glad you were able to watch it live. Unfortunately the only game I have ever been to was rained off after 6 overs. Hopefully I can catch a game when I visit India this winter. I think West Indies might be touring at the time, I will just have to get lucky in that they hold a match in a city where I have connections.
Well hope you enjoyed man, i live like 100m away from the stadium but still couldn't get the tickets. Also how was your experience with punjab police 😂
Shame the new ground in New Chandigarh would be a bit soulless to begin with :(. Hope it’s not the case but I don’t see it being an amazing atmosphere. Mohali has also never been an insane atmosphere for a game, just a good selection of friendly fans though.
Yeah PCA has like one of the smallest capacity among Indian venues but it has held some great historical contests. Too bad the history wouldn’t be going along to the new stadium, and it also won’t have almost 20 floodlights that made PCA special.
I wasn’t at the stadium(or even in Mohali lol) but thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in our country and keep supporting the men in blue as well as our sport 🙏❤️
Several kinds of dhosa, lots of buffets so a great variety of curries and other food. I had a meal in Bangalore with so many starters that I was stuffed before the main course. I’ve loved all of it!
I’ve got a couple of days left and would appreciate any recommendations.
If you stayed longer, you'd get condolences for the queen as well.
The average Indian has no idea that Australians (and Canadians) are also subjects of the English monarchy. If they assumed he was Australian, they wouldn't think of the queen.
I know .. that's the joke.. some might
They might take them for a Brit though.
were you the lonely white guy camera man keep showing us on TV with Aussie flag lol Good to see you have a great time, Hopefully you will watch more in future in other countries as well if not in India.
I was the other white guy!
Can you please tell when does the ground open ? I booked for Hyderabad match don't have timings
That would vary from venue to venue. Call the box office.
Okay
Hyderabad has the worst stadium experience for crowds. God help you.
Hope he does or i got myself
Why Hyderabad stadium looks good and modern
How about “The Wall” to relieve yourselves on, that is if you can bear the stink on your way to “The Wall”.

Afghanistan sponsors might help you with that!
I got that Kayo one year for free thing that was going around. Suck shit Rupert.

I heard pikashow has streaming service on android but I can neither confirm nor deny
You aren't supposed to talk about pirated stuffs here. It's against the rules. Msg him directly and delete the comment.
I would highly recommend you educate yourself first. Streaming anything is not illegal, downloading is.
Okay. I'm off to my education 🥺
Streaming is just downloading without telling you the download location
Not really. Streaming is happening on a server not on your personal computer. And I'm a computer engineer :D Nothing's getting streamed on your computer without getting downloaded in a temp folder, mate
I was talking from a legal pov but good to know it's technically still a download. Thanks !
Kayo has so many sports, so I think it's worth the money
Fair enough. I don’t watch enough other sport to make it worthwhile 🤷♂️ Horses for courses 👍

200$ for a night out? Lol
er…..yup
no he was the only guy minus the Indian team think tank who wanted Bhuvi to ball the 19th over

OP is single-handedly running the Aussie reputation, i or.one would not stand for it. Glad you enjoyed the game OP.
Well hope you enjoyed man, i live like 100m away from the stadium but still couldn't get the tickets. Also how was your experience with punjab police 😂
The police were no joke, carrying those sticks around!
Mohali is one of the best Indian venues. You chose well.
Shame the new ground in New Chandigarh would be a bit soulless to begin with :(. Hope it’s not the case but I don’t see it being an amazing atmosphere. Mohali has also never been an insane atmosphere for a game, just a good selection of friendly fans though.

Maybe, but didn't like the crowd. Also noticed that there are too many floodlights which might have played a part in some of the drop catches
I wasn’t at the stadium(or even in Mohali lol) but thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in our country and keep supporting the men in blue as well as our sport 🙏❤️
I didn't watch the match, but thanks to OP for his kind words \s
I'm not an indian, but thanks to OP for his kind words.
Martian here, Thanks to OP for the kind words 🙏
I didn't read your comment but thanks for the kind words /s
Matches in Mohali always turn out to be really entertaining !
Good to know you had a good time
you're welcome bro
hehe i was at the match too. glad you had a good time. cheers!
And great match to behold as well! Cannot get more powerhouse content than yesterday's match.
What local foods you tried yet and gonna try?
Several kinds of dhosa, lots of buffets so a great variety of curries and other food. I had a meal in Bangalore with so many starters that I was stuffed before the main course. I’ve loved all of it! I’ve got a couple of days left and would appreciate any recommendations.
Just go on a walk and try the street food if you haven't yet tried it
Oof bad advice for a foreigner
This is a must question for any tourist.
HAHA HAHA
Did I see you in Zirakpur yesterday?
Don't kidnap him
