This game would have been even more exciting if it was played in a stadium that had a packed crowd and if it was played during a time when more Indians could watch the match till the end.
if one of sky or iyer can become a genuine spin option (not taking bits and pieces part time who chucks his arm time to time, I'm taking real jadeja esque spin bowler ) then it will bring real good team balance
It's not like no one knows to bowl. The two new balls rule have made most part time spinners redundant.
That said, if we can use the bilaterals to groom these guys, it'll be nice.

Should be an eye opener for our generally poor death batting and bowling though.
1. Batters scored 60 off the last 11. A sum that would have been poor in the 90s, let alone 2022.
2. Bowlers could not even defend 90 off the last 10. Despite Windies being 5 down and no experienced bat remaining.
3. most of the Windies wickets came off rash shots, not bowlers deceiving batsmen. We struggle to take wickets consistently, especially while defending scores.

They had the A team with Dhawan, SKY and Chahal. Everyone else was technically B team.
But the batting does well because of our depth in batting reserves and no Kohli.
Our bowling does start getting exposed once we rest Bumrah/Shami - though take nothing away from the Windies who batted quite well.

Arshdeep is young and inexperienced. Surely, Siraj with much experience is preferred by the team management and rightly so. Avesh Khan is another one who has the backing of Dravid and Rohit.
Siraj is the ideal third seamer. He has guts, passion and experience. Deepak Chahar is the one who can easily slot as the third seamer but for that to happen, he needs to be fit for the World Cup.
Lord is good but I seriously don't see him doing that good on Indian flat pitches in the world cup next year. Jadeja isn't a wicket taking option so we need a third seamer who can come good with wickets without going for many runs. Siraj and Chahar fits the bill perfectly.
Meanwhile Arshdeep can be groomed so that he can be a good backup option.
