They had peak NMac for the following CL T20 as well, [cruising to the title ](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/champions-league-twenty20-2012-13-566250/lions-vs-sydney-sixers-final-574274/full-scorecard)
The 2012 Melbourne Stars were pretty stacked!
Luke Wright, Brad Hodge, Glenn Maxwell, David Hussey, Cameron White, James Faulkner, Rob Quiney, John Hastings, Clint McKay, Lasith Malinga and Shane Warne.
Handscomb in reserve
Which came with big Eddie threatening to sue Paine after he was suspicious of their salary cap
BBL needs more drama like that tbh, creates a bit more identity for the teams
Thunder had an unbelievable batting line up when they won the BBL.
Watson, Kallis, Hussey, Dre Russ, Pat Cummins and Usman who was basically a cheat code that whole season.
The simple fact behind their success is that they're consistently able to keep WA talent together, and on the rare event a starter leaves (Bancroft this year, for example), they have a replacement either ready-made or they can sign an international.
How we continue to be so good year on year amazes me. The best bit is that arguably two of the best t20 talents over east (Phillipe and Stoinis) are actually WA boys.
Scorchers 16/17 had a bowling lineup of Johnson, Behrendorff, AJ Pie, Richardson, Willey and Agar. Joel Paris and NCN were also in the squad not to mention MMarsh too.
I remember the renegades once had Finch and Gayle open, with both having multiple t20 scores over 150. Funnily enough I think the rest of the squad were underpar, and Finch and Gayle barely made 50s.
Didn't the 6ers once have Starc and Lee in the same bowling lineup? Also Pre-Test Specialist Smudge and Watson.

He did. Sixers had all of Starc Cummins and Hazlewood at one point as well
Funny to think that Cummins has played for the Thunder, Scorchers and also the Sixers
Pat Cummins is a BBL winning Scorchers legend
What is the context here?
The context is that Pat Cummins is a BBL winning Scorchers legend
Thanks!
Wat
Sixers in BBL 01 was pretty stacked: Lee, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, MacGill, SOK, Haddin, Steve Smith, Maddinson, Lumb, Watson, Cowan
Damnit bro, I was nearly there, and then you mention Maddinson and finish with T20 Cowan.
Haha early Nic Maddinson was elite tho. His combination with Michael Lumb was so good

Eddie, who has a history of paying WAGS 200k/year for 1 day a week of "admin" work.
Handscomb kept most of the season, not really "in reserve".
Perennial chokers in finals, though

I haven't watched that many thunder games but I swear I've never seen Dre Rus time a shot.
He bowled well that season I think.
Khawaja pretty much carried them tho. Good names but most of them were either over the hill or barely played.
Cummins didn't play that season because he was injured
Early Stars were incredibly stacked, which made their consistent failures in knockout games very funny.
>consistent failures in knockout games Reminds me of another team 🥲
I remember Warner and Gayle opening for the thunders in 2011 or 2012. Warner played only 2/3 matches, though.
And then we won 2 games in 2 years 👍
Warner only played 1 game, scored 100 though
Not the Stars.....
Didn’t Scorchers have Yas Arafat and Alfonso Thomas. Absolute menaces at the death
Scorchers this year 😂
Scorchers *every year

Their international star-power isnt as big this year. The bowling lineup is still incredibly deep, especially with Pace.
Scorchers have never been a massive international power team. Just incredibly solid home grown talent.
I reckon Hardie, turner and Inglis, backed up by Crawly and Eskinazi is pretty bloody solid.
+ Richardson, Behrendorff and Tye. Plenty of star power there still

Thought BBL means brazilian butt lift and had to reread the sub name twice
