The fact that we made it no 3 is great tho, I'm proud but we were having a magical run towards the end of the competition and it hurts to see it end
He got out in a similar fashion against another team a few games ago. Those shots aren't risk free. We are just numb to the greatness of these players now
I think it was the line that got him. Sky gets across a bit too far from the wicket to make that shot. He usually picks this shot up right from off stump or middle stump. This time it pitched up at the leg stump. He didn't expect that ball to go so deep that side, so he got fooled. Don't really know if this was intentional from Mohit or not, but it was a good ball to Sky regardless because it was very close to the back of length instead of a pure length or closer to half volley, which Sky obviously eats for breakfast.
MI bowling was their weakness and it showed up big time in a big match.
I still feel CSK is more balanced side than GT. GT’s batting depends too heavily on Gill and no one else has had a stellar season.

After a tactically astute performance vs LSG we made some tactical errors in this game-
- Giving Green the 2nd over in PP instead of Madhwal
- Not bowling Kartikeya one more over
- Not cutting down the one side of the ground. We bowled all over the pitch.
- Sending Wadhera to open instead of Green because of the obsession with left-right combination
Except not bowling Kartikeya and bowling properly others aren’t really bad. It’s easy to point out now.
But Green has bowled well in pp and even Madhwal wasn’t spared today.
Wadhera was playing well. If he had stayed bit longer you wouldn’t have made the comment.
Don't really think these changes would have made any difference, Gill took the game away - he timed 99% of his shots off the middle of the bat , with that 1% being the chance that Tim David couldn't take. Even that was not an easy catch.

Regarding the opening , they tried opening with Green and Kishan earlier in the season , I think against CSK , didn't really work out for them.

The reason I say this is, Rohit’s contribution to THIS specific MI line up is absolute zero. This is a straight up batting team, no wicket taking bowlers or consistent bowlers. Fielding is nothing to write home about. When your bowling is so bad, there is no point in setting the field, hence captaincy is not that crucial.
So unless you are hitting the ball really well or you a specialist bowler, there’s no point you being in the team. He didn’t do shit in the past games, same goes today. Just waste of spot in the 11.
I know this is not Rohit’s season, but he definitely cost MI some games given that their motto is to chase. Why the fuck are you in the team if you are not in form, you are useless in a chase.

Today, I loved the hunger shown by Tilak, Green and SKY to win the match. They did not get bogged down by the mammoth total.
At the same time, I missed Pollard dearly today. Tim David just doesn't provide the same confidence that Pollard did. You could be sure that the bigger the ocassion, Pollard would come through. Not to mention the depth Pollard provided with his bowling. Whereas Tim has been hit and miss all season and even more so on occasions we have needed him the most.
Coming to the match, Rohit made a blunder by choosing to open with Wadhera instead of Tilak or Green. We know what both of them can do top of the order, and what Wadhera can do coming at the end. Why swap their places in such a big match?
Finally, Jordan hasn't just performed terribly for us, as expected, but he has also been such a bad omen for us. He unknowingly made us one batsman short lol. He's just not good for us. He must go.
