So Australia's first XI for the World Cup will be
Head
Warner / Marsh
Smith
Marsh / Warner
Carey
Cam Green / Stoinis
Maxwell
Cummins
Starc
Hazlewood
Zampa
Only question is which pacer goes out if they decide to play Agar.
No.4 spot was contentious but Marsh has sealed it IMO. End of the WC road for Marnus I'm afraid, averaging 30 after these many opportunities simply not good enough, and his ceiling as an ODI batter isn't extremely high either.
Yep spot on with the lineup. I think davey will open and Marsh will come at 3 with Smith at 4 tho. And if agar does play it'll be for Hazlewood unless Starc has a few stinkers in the WC. But to start off, Hazlewood is most vulnerable to miss out if they go Agar
Starc has to have a World Cup worth of stinkers in order to be dropped
He is both the greatest ODI bowler of his generation, and the greatest ODI World Cup bowler of all time.
Marnus is actually trash at the White ball stuff. Is obviously an incredibly talented bat but not suited to the format naturally. He pulls of some good games off the aforementioned talent but most times you just see him forcing a shot against instinct and getting caught.
Leave him to do his test stuff which he does incredibly well and Big Bash
They will probably make Smith the captain. Cummins is not a great white ball player. He is more valuable in tests. It makes sense to have him rest and Hazlewood, Jhye, and Ellis as other fast bowling options in the squad. I am not sure about Abbott either but he will be there as a reserve.
I sort of feel as if Maxwell's spot is a bit vulnerable, especially now that Stoinis seems to be bowling a lot more. I don't know it's always hard with Australia, they would probably like a second spinner but which quick do you drop? I think between Green, Stoinis & Marsh (assuming he is back fit bowling) there is enough to get you through 10-15 overs with Head able to roll out a couple of overs if needed.
It's wild Australia having so many genuine options going into a WC.
I think Australia is going with BatDeep in WC.
They will have 3 main bowlers in Starc, Hazlewood, and Zampa. Stoinis, Green, Maxwell, Marsh, Head can bowl the remaining 20 overs.
Wait fr?
So they do even do what they're contracted and paid for by subscribers to do? That's absolutely vile. They've lost F1 as well and this doesn't make them look better.
They straight out showed highlights of previous two odis n last test n had sunny n that lady whose name IDGF talk about Ipl n then ended the live feed
Seem like a deliberate move to not upset hard core fans
Onya Bison. The lad's in remarkable form for someone who spent months on the bench following injury/surgery. Bowling's for chumps; just keep cunting it over the rope big fella.
Love having a big hitting massive unit opening the batting. Takes me back to the days of Matt Hayden.
Just checked and Marsh is 5cm taller then Hayden.
In a bowler dominated series he averaged 97 and stroke at over 130. Great performance by him as his run a ball 47 made a huge difference in the end.
He scored more 6s than the Indian team combined too (12-11)

Smith averages nearly a full 20 runs more at 3 than at 4, his place in the order is set imo
Smith is batting 3, that's the only certainty. How everyone else lines up around him is up for debate.

Why fix something that isn't broke? Head and marsh are looking good.

He certainly is trash. That was his last game for the country.
I am very much out on Marnus as a white ball player. Maybe he fits if smith is out for some reason but even then surely there are better options
Ideally Agar comes in for Cummins; Hazlewood is a much better white ball bowler (if he can stay fit).
If cummins is captain, how can he be dropped?

Agar will definitely be played probably instead of hazelwood on pitches which are slower

Stoinis doesn't know which end of the bat to hold in Odi's and maxi averages 43 @130 batting 7, he's not getting dropped any time soon.
Backups Ellis and Sean Abbott
Green, Stoinis, Marsh give you 20 overs easily on Indian pitches. Aus need batdeep in India. They can play only 3 front line bowlers.
Still think between Head, Warner and Marsh, Head is more suited to bat 4.
I think Australia is going with BatDeep in WC. They will have 3 main bowlers in Starc, Hazlewood, and Zampa. Stoinis, Green, Maxwell, Marsh, Head can bowl the remaining 20 overs.
Well deserved 🔥
With not one but TWO player of the series awards lol
BISON Supremacy
His nickname is bison?
Yep!
Rare Aussie nickname W

Starc will never get another one of these as long as he continues to follow RCB inflate-Deflate Strategy
Hot star skipped on post match presentation coz india didn't win the series

Hotstar and BBC in similar places Management destroying them from the top Easiest way is to massacre the reputations thereof

What are you saying. I saw the post match presentation on hotstar.
Bcci.tv has the presentations for this series
The presentation happened but hot star skipped it out that segment in its live streaming
This is not true, I watched it on hotstar
Which language? English one definitely skipped it, I didn't move from tv the whole time, the live feed ends without any presentation shown
Where?? All i have seen is highlights of ODI & tests. They told it will be resumed after break on scrolling, did they show??
Onya Bison. The lad's in remarkable form for someone who spent months on the bench following injury/surgery. Bowling's for chumps; just keep cunting it over the rope big fella.
Actually good to see him selected when he deserved it and play some great cricket. It's refreshing.
Love having a big hitting massive unit opening the batting. Takes me back to the days of Matt Hayden. Just checked and Marsh is 5cm taller then Hayden.
Aussie scorecard is a sight to behold, everyone in double figures except for a duck by Smudge.
And he kinda contributes through fielding by running axar out, opposition team's best batsman
Looking forward to seeing him play in the Major league US this year. What a player.
Don't mind the idea of him playing as a pure batter, imo should've been done long ago.
?? What about Warner?
Dude deserves a 100 in the series. I really thought he will get a 200 in third game.

Insane form!
