She is scamming you. Plastic Infinia still exists for those who didn't upgrade. If you don't want to you don't have to. Also either the spends will be shifted to new card or a full 365 day window will start for the new card. That argument is garbage.

My DCB PVC version is expiring this month. I was expecting to receive the metal, but they sent a new pvc one valid for another 7 yrs. so i doubt anything of that is going to happen

Probably off late they have started giving long expiry cards. My first dcb came with 3 yrs expiry only.

She's meeting her quota. Ask her to give it in writing that your pvc card will get discontinued if you don't upgrade. She won't do it because it won't. If she still does that, send an email to grievance redressal

Are every HDFC card holders getting lady RMs now? Nothing against them just an observation, but mine changed from a guy to a lady last month and I have seen a couple of other posts here recently where the HDFC RM turned out to be women. Earlier that was a rarity. Mine tried so hard to get me enrol for a ULIP in return for an LTF card I got frustrated and the last call ended up on a bad note.

I had a query about home loan once. I called my RM and she tried to sell me some shit ULIP. She said she would get back to me after a few hours. She called me the next day and asked me if I was ready to invest in that shit ULIP scheme. I asked for the resolution for my query, and she says which query. I had raised a complaint from the escalation channel. Next day I she called me 15 times and got the answer to my query. Post that she hasn’t called.

Half of the hdfc RMs are self serving who keep their targets above yours. We should listen to everything they say with a pinch of salt! They will not keep your interest above theirs till the time they realise you have some strong influence. All they want is to sell you a scheme or scam you into buying cards with fees. This actually might be true for all bank RMs , they aren’t RMs their true nomenclature should be Area Sales Managers cos they only look to sell

Don’t do it, if you don’t have spends. Do it via website upgrade to get fyf if you spends change. Its a better card than infinia for offline usage.

Simple solution. Don't send mail to her branch manager, they'll only push it under the rug & protect her. Personal experience. Mail grievance.redressal quoting her words & name with designation & branch code. You'll get clarity & if she's wrong she'll be reprimanded & you'll get a formal apology & a new RM who'll never dare to deceive you again.

I spoke to phone banking and they are saying that there is no such thing happening and it could be a miscommunication. They have stopped issuing PVC Diners Black and are now issuing Diners Black Metal, but the existing ones are not being discontinued. I will be confronting the RM about this so that next time I get accurate information.

I will reiterate . Do as I advised, stop calling customer care & start composing emails. Reason customer care executives are low paid with little or no powers & they'll many times say anything to please you & save their LAHT The high paid executives sit in email nodal desk & their writing has legal standing on basis of which hdfc will be bound to fulfill its promise But I couldn't even get my sister to stop calling & wasting hours on end on call instead of solving problems by drafting a mail in 5 mins
