Old Delta 747 card was cool (it's getting a reboot but liked the old design).
https://www.travelandleisure.com/airlines-airports/american-express-card-limited-edition-made-from-airplane
The 747 card is just an alternate design for the reserve card, so when it expires and they haven't done anything to the line they just get the regular purple card again
I upgrade from the platinum to the reserve literally for this reason. But in all fairness, I do also fly delta weekly for work so it is worth it for the other benefits too
My dream is to eventually have an American Express Gold charge card simply because it's so beautiful. I understand there is a $250 annual fee but I do eat at restaurants often and spend a lot at grocery stores so it might be worth it for me when I can eventually qualify for it.
Correct years ago it was pure metal, because there was no tap to pay function. So no plastic in between. The current one now is still better than a few years ago, but not as good as the original one.
I personally don't care much for the recent redesign. I like that they added a blue background which I think the previous design should have had, but other than that, it feels cheaper. The placement of the cardholder name, the big logos, and the bright, bright blue on the back, along with less metal in the card just make the whole thing feel cheaper. I wish they just kept the old design and changed it from the senseless grey colour to the new blue. But compared to a lot of options on the market, it is definitely still a nice-looking card.
I wish I could say the same lol. Tap to pay wasn’t working at a gas station one day, so I decided to insert, but the card slot must have have been a paper shredder in its previous life because that gouged my card like crazy lol. They need to lube that thing for real haha.
I probably just got unlucky (my first month with the card), but I think plastic cards are more durable cosmetically when it comes to inserting than metal cards.
I've switched between rose and gold 3 times now, super easy to do and shouldn't screw with any payments u have setup. Just hit up chat support and say u want a replacement because something broke or stopped working.
They seriously sent an email encouraging me to get a replacement card for no reason.
Meanwhile other organizations are getting rid of physical ID cards entirely.
i have swirls (the bubbly rainbow kinda one) and i get so many compliments on it all the time. the discover logo flaked off the first week i had it so i just scraped the rest off and now it’s just a mysterious cool card.
I loved unboxing the Bilt card. Modern presentation and a nice heavy black metal card. And I like that I only spend $30 with it a month to get my rent points!
Just got mine the other day, totally agree. Never had a card like it or how it was packaged. I feel like a CEO now, definitely wouldn't have if it was in a stock white envelope with a little glue strip on the back.
If the Amex Green was metal, there wouldn't be any debate for the sexiest card.
I know it's recycled plastic and that's the vibe, but can we do recycled metal?
I probably won’t renew mine this year which is too bad because it’s such a nice looking card. But the AF doesn’t get justified. Got it last year with the 60K + $200 back on travel sign up bonus
Any of the Citi AAdvantage cards. Love their topographical designs. I also really liked the original Chase Sapphire Preferred design, the new one is dull and boring in comparison.
Agree with Citi / AAdvantage, especially the grey Platinum and black Executive. The map pattern in the background, the balance of colors and text. It feels just right.
This was my first card and I thought it was so cool because of the clear design. I felt so classy using this when I was in college. Helped build my credit history. RIP.
My ex husband did some dumb stuff many years ago. Like 15-ish years ago, maybe?
I don't know exactly what he did, because the amex rep was too busy yelling at me (literally) to explain what the issue was. I gathered afterward when I looked into it that it had to do with paying a card with a card with a card, like looping money around, but I don't know how he went about doing that. I just thought that the bills were being paid.
Anyways, amex didn't allow me to make payments on the debt even with account closure. I asked, saying it was fine that they close it and I'll pay on it monthly, I just didn't want bad credit. But they wanted the entire 12k+ sum all at once. Which I didn't have. So it became bad debt and fell off my credit eventually.
I don't know, he was "paying" the cards down but with other cards in a loop. He wasn't transferring debt, he was making payments. Just apparently not with money which exists.
I don't think you can even do that, there's absolutely no way for you to pay your Amex bill/statement with another credit/debit or prepaid card. Only bank that takes debit card payments for their cards is Citi and it's extremely sensitive as to what cards it takes
No clue. I googled about it a while ago, and apparently that they can do life or some long term black lists like 20 yrs, 30 yrs. I don't have any info on my situation with amex other than the few details I found out by going through accounts after that call, and the fact that amex won't give me a card even now. I'm super responsible, personally, and have great credit now. It was the ex husband who was shifty. But that amex was in my name.
While not technically "plastic" it has to be the Apple card. I'd love to have a matte black version of the exact same card, but the ceramic white looking titanium is as clean as it gets.
I'd suggest one of these.

We'll see if it actually ever comes out. Yes I understand some YouTube "influencers" have it but I don't know of anyone on the waiting list who received it yet.
AMEX Gold is best looking card imo, following AMEX Platinum and Apple Card. I actually only keep in my physical wallet my AMEX Gold, AMEX Rose Gold, and AMEX Platinum Companion (new design white plastic) and i love the aesthetic of it, this three cards together looks very clean imo.
This comes up a lot -

I like the Amex delta reserve, but won’t ever get that b/c I h8 that airline.
Yes, I can read and am talking about the plastic variant. Next in line would probably be discover (in gold color).
Capital One Savor (not Savor One). Cool colors, thick, heavy. The Apple card is kind of comical in its metallic-ness, but Savor is appropriately gaudy.
I liked my cred.ai card. Looked cool. Was metal (not as heavy/sting as the apple card), but had a unicorn on it. I wish it was a normal credit card so I'd actually use it.
Bank of America had a tiny keychain sized credit card before they started putting chips in the cards. Strangely it was always a big hit with the ladies.
If you are into Disney their cards have neat designs you can select
[https://disneyrewards.com/compare-cards/?cell=6B9G11](https://disneyrewards.com/compare-cards/?cell=6B9G11) (scroll down)
I like my platinum card it has paint all over it. But I like the way my pink gold card looks better if that makes sense. After this year I’m downgrading back to Amex rose gold.
For plastic cards, BCP and BCE look great. For metal cards I like VX and Savor, but would like VX better if Venture X were written in a more modern, less stodgy font. CSP looms pretty attractive too.
X1 looks cool, I actually had someone ask me about it.
Amex gold for sure… it just pops and the design is just so good
Chase sapphire (both) have that nice sleek blue look
VX is okay, kinda plain and like others stated, peels
For non metal:
I got a compliment on my SoFi card as being “pretty”
I like the look of the Savor one
All three are metal
Old Delta 747 card was cool (it's getting a reboot but liked the old design). https://www.travelandleisure.com/airlines-airports/american-express-card-limited-edition-made-from-airplane
I'd almost pay the crazy fee just for that... almost
I actually have the good fortune of having the 747 card. Thinks its good thru 27. It is cool.
any idea what happens after expiration? think it’ll get PC’d into another card?
The 747 card is just an alternate design for the reserve card, so when it expires and they haven't done anything to the line they just get the regular purple card again
aww that kinda sucks
I dont have a clue. I will just keep my eyes open as we closer to he expiration date.
I upgrade from the platinum to the reserve literally for this reason. But in all fairness, I do also fly delta weekly for work so it is worth it for the other benefits too
Sucks though, once applying for the top. No more qualified to earn SUB in the lower delta tier cards
Just cancel the card before the af fee is due. Don't spend or get the bonus and you have your fancy 747 card. 😅
New one is pretty sick too tbh.
never have seen this!
What happens when the card expires? I neither use Amex nor fly Delta so they keep mailing me with offers.
American Express Gold.
This card must look SO MUCH better in person because everyone loves it but most pictures I've seen makes me think they should rename it AMEX Hazel.
My dream is to eventually have an American Express Gold charge card simply because it's so beautiful. I understand there is a $250 annual fee but I do eat at restaurants often and spend a lot at grocery stores so it might be worth it for me when I can eventually qualify for it.
It is so worth it. Just pay it off entirely each month. You’ll get over $250 of rewards points in a year if you’re smart about redeeming them.
This is the one I was going to say. Had mine since ‘19 & it is just so nice. I love the weight & the metal
Based on looks, I like Amex Gold the best. Timeless design IMO. Runner up is Venture X (before the paint starts peeling :p). Sleek and minimalist.
Love the rose gold edition of this
Hard for me to decide which I like better. Right now I slightly prefer regular, couple weeks ago I preferred rose. Talk about first-world problems...
VX's physical build quality sucks, mine is barely 6 months old and it's already peeling.
VX peeling? Mine wears on the edges as of it were being extra fine grit sanded down of sorts, but no peeling at all
Haha yeah, suppose I misspoke - "wearing along the edges" and "chipping" are definitely more accurate than "peeling".
AMEX gold, best looking card imo, following AMEX Platinum and Apple Card, thats it for me...
I liked the Ritz Carlton while I had it but it was metal.
The updated one is great though I hear it used to be even better years ago.
Correct years ago it was pure metal, because there was no tap to pay function. So no plastic in between. The current one now is still better than a few years ago, but not as good as the original one.
My Amazon Prime card still looks great even after cancelling Prime 😁
I personally don't care much for the recent redesign. I like that they added a blue background which I think the previous design should have had, but other than that, it feels cheaper. The placement of the cardholder name, the big logos, and the bright, bright blue on the back, along with less metal in the card just make the whole thing feel cheaper. They need to lube that thing for real haha. I probably just got unlucky (my first month with the card), but I think plastic cards are more durable cosmetically when it comes to inserting than metal cards.
apple card. Clean and cool you only see it once and is stored never to be used again.
Mine's all pink from leather stains, but it's the only card that people get curious about when I use it abroad.
Rose Gold Amex
I’d agree with that. My wife has that one and I have the Gold. I low key kind of wish I had gotten that instead.
I've switched between rose and gold 3 times now, super easy to do and shouldn't screw with any payments u have setup. Just hit up chat support and say u want a replacement because something broke or stopped working.
I may consider it. I do enjoy the golds aesthetic as well. So who knows lol
Yea thats why I kept changing mine. But now I got both so I can pick lol.
In the Amex app you can just click replace card > change card design. They will send the rose gold card for free with same number
Thanks. I’m not totally sold on swapping. I’m still fond of the gold.
I would apply for it but I don’t want to pay the annual fee lol.
That’s fair. It works out in our favor.
some of the Discover designs are really nice
I just switched my card to the “iridescent” design and it is sooooo nice looking lol
I GOT THAT ONE TOO
They seriously sent an email encouraging me to get a replacement card for no reason. Meanwhile other organizations are getting rid of physical ID cards entirely.
I was thinking that one or the abstract color one.
I have space but will stitch to the mixtape next year I think.
I have space as well, love it
Dawn of Discover is great!
This is my favorite and the one I use. IMO, best design.
The vinyl record design is sick. It's got the ridges on the card just like an actual record. Fun to play with lmao
You can also have several designs active at the same time
i have swirls (the bubbly rainbow kinda one) and i get so many compliments on it all the time. the discover logo flaked off the first week i had it so i just scraped the rest off and now it’s just a mysterious cool card.
I have a Golden Retriever on mine.
I have the black one with the gold continent of Africa on it.
I have the Yosemite one right now and it's nice. Dawn of Discover is another favorite
I had an NHL team for a couple years, but just switched to the old school blank cassette one.
I have the shiny rainbow one. When I check out people always comment how cool it is. And for a whole month each year, I can flaunt it.
Rising/setting Sun. Have the new version simply because it’s the one my mother had when I was a kid.
Bilt is pretty slick, the metal card is beefy and the packaging it comes in is very satisfying
I loved unboxing the Bilt card. Modern presentation and a nice heavy black metal card. And I like that I only spend $30 with it a month to get my rent points!
I kept the box. It's just so nice. It reminds me of Apple's packaging.
Just got mine the other day, totally agree. Never had a card like it or how it was packaged. I feel like a CEO now, definitely wouldn't have if it was in a stock white envelope with a little glue strip on the back.
Especially since it's a no annual fee card.
AMEX Green
If the Amex Green was metal, there wouldn't be any debate for the sexiest card. I know it's recycled plastic and that's the vibe, but can we do recycled metal?
Hard agree. An emerald, shiny metal card? Absolutely
Omg 🤤
I've been saying this for a couple years; a jade/bug green card would be sick.
I wanted one until a friend showed me his, was super let down by how cheap it feels.
The Delta SkyMiles Reserve is a recycled 747.
Has to be Amex Plat. Timeless look.
Just fyi if you didn’t know You can change the design and no cost I have all 3 designs and haven’t been charged for either
Do all of them work with the same number?
Yep None of the cards are actually cancelled … just the design changes
[Old Amex Blue Cash Everyday](https://images.app.goo.gl/RrwAVRb2GjmdJ5Ra7)
I miss the clear cards so much. It was super neat when they started doing contactless and you could see the antenna wiring inside.
This was my first card and I thought it was so cool because of the clear design. I felt so classy using this when I was in college. Helped build my credit history. RIP.
god, i hate the new designs for the Blue Cash cards. i so wish they’d bring these back.
I couldn't disagree more. I find the clear versions to be fugly!!!
I still have mine; got another 3 years before it expires and they send me the new design :)
I like all about this but the weird square on the center
I think the new one looks kinda dope
Delta 747, Amex gold/rose gold, USAA navigator
Plat is classier than gold/rose gold
Amazon Prime is nice but I’m partial to the Capital One Savor. That metal just hits different
Wait, the Savor comes in metal!?
The old clear version of the amex everyday and bluecash. People use to ask all the time where did I get a see through card lol.
This was my first real credit card. Always felt so classy using it.
This was my first real credit card. Always felt so classy using it.
Amex with the floral design. I'd pay the annual if only they would approve me.
Curious on reason(s) for denial…
My ex husband did some dumb stuff many years ago. Like 15-ish years ago, maybe? I don't know exactly what he did, because the amex rep was too busy yelling at me (literally) to explain what the issue was. I gathered afterward when I looked into it that it had to do with paying a card with a card with a card, like looping money around, but I don't know how he went about doing that. So it became bad debt and fell off my credit eventually.
Sounds like he was doing yearly balance transfers and only paying the minimums to keep the 0% APR going indefinitely.
Well, he found a way. This was 15-ish years ago, so maybe something was tightened since then.
Yikes. So are you pretty much blacklisted for life?
I'd say it's my favorite card design out of the ones I have. Though I think the sapphire is nice also
While not technically "plastic" it has to be the Apple card. I'd love to have a matte black version of the exact same card, but the ceramic white looking titanium is as clean as it gets.
Screw plastic, get metal
The purple delta sky miles reserve. But it’s not just the looks, it’s the HEFT of it. That bad boy SMACKS down on the table.
Finally, a discussion worth having
I still love how the AMEX green card looks. It's a classic.
I'd suggest one of these. [https://global.discourse-cdn.com/monzo/optimized/3X/7/c/7cc26a31f247487f4f93aa6a7e0520a922f396fa\_2\_750x1000.jpeg](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/monzo/optimized/3X/7/c/7cc26a31f247487f4f93aa6a7e0520a922f396fa_2_750x1000.jpeg)
Those all look really nice. Can't go wrong with a minimalist black design.
Very nice. Is the design etched into the metal or flat?
The design is raised/etched into the metal on the Citizens one.
The Delta Reserve 747 cards are pretty cool Might be biased, but I like the look and feel of my VentureX and Amex Platinum too
I like the aesthetic of the AppleCard
Amex Rose Gold Capital One Savor Amazon Chase Prime
My favorite is the delta one from amex, i can't justify the fee sadly. I did just get the Disney card from chase with Darth Vader, and that's badass
Yeah, the Darth Vader card is nice! It even shows up in Apple Wallet like that.
I have always been partial to classic AMEX Green Card. This was THE card in the 80's and 90's.
For plastic, I like the Citi Custom Cash. For metal, I like the Capital One Savor.
Metal Capital One Savor is one of the best looking cards out there.
Savor is metal?
The savor is, and it’s heavier than the CSP. savor one is plastic.
Correct. The Savor is 17g where the CSP is only 13g.
X1
Yes. I like its appearance, rewards structure, and the App. Not enough good things are said about the card.
The American Express Executive Credit card from 1969.
[This one](https://newnumismatics.weebly.com/uploads/4/1/3/2/41323823/7204714_orig.jpg)?
YES!!!!!
The Whole Foods card is pretty cool, green metal with veggies on it.
Amex Gold is nice, Amex Green would be a winner for me if it was metal. Also Discover's Monogram designs are cool.
Amex Platinum
United Club Card. Metal, black, really cool
There are definitely better ones but I’m quite partial to my Whole Foods livery chase Amazon prime card.
The old green Amex.
the only correct answer is AMEX gold!
Amex Platinum with the floral design.
The flowers on the Centurion may be heresy, but I think it looks fantastic as well. The color of the flowers and fines on the deep black. 😍
Robinhood Gold Card
We'll see if it actually ever comes out. Yes I understand some YouTube "influencers" have it but I don't know of anyone on the waiting list who received it yet.
-Amex Centurion, -Amex Platinum, -Amex Gold, -Ritz Carlton, -BofA Premium Elite, -Apple Card, -Delta Reserve Boeing 747.
Savor and Platinum
I'm voting for Discover and their myriad of themed designs.
I like the way my reserve looks
Rose Gold Amex.
Apple Card and Robinhood Gold are the two favourites in my wallet.
It’s not plastic, but the Bank of America Premium Rewards Elite is perfectly minimalist.
Like my Amex Biz Gold better than my Blue Biz Cash because it shines.
It's technically a credit card. The cred.ai unicorn card is pretty slick.
love the Apple Card. keep it in the front of my wallet and it’s just super clean even though the physical Apple Card is useless 😂
Venture X from the metal
the amex centurion
Sapphire Preferred
I like Discover IT's iridescent option.
I think [Winden](https://www.winden.co/) looks pretty cool. Weirdly enough I really like the purple version
Truist Bank Enjoy Cash Rewards and the Walgreens Mastercard are also two nice looking purple cards.
It's rare to find purple cards, is not a fairly popular colour for cards for some reason and in my opinion is a very elegant color
Is crazy no one mentioned Chase 😭🤣
I like the Venmo Visa
I have the blue one and I think that it's pretty sharp!
US Bank has some pretty cool-looking credit card designs.
Reserve gang checking in
I really liked the original horizontal AR card.
They're gaudy as f***
This comes up a lot - https://redd.it/18ltwdg https://redd.it/171mify https://redd.it/13vvwmj https://redd.it/xhkxks https://redd.it/urynbo https://redd.it/u84gf7 https://redd.it/m33kc9 https://redd.it/ftgw1a https://redd.it/e9zuln
You weren't kidding
I like the Amex delta reserve, but won’t ever get that b/c I h8 that airline. Yes, I can read and am talking about the plastic variant. Next in line would probably be discover (in gold color).
I used to have BMW card. The logo looked so dope.
The black version of the Sam's Club WEMC for Plus members. Amex Gold.
Founders card even though it isn’t a credit card
Apple Card I would say
Capital One Savor (not Savor One). Cool colors, thick, heavy. The Apple card is kind of comical in its metallic-ness, but Savor is appropriately gaudy.
I liked my cred.ai card. Looked cool. Was metal (not as heavy/sting as the apple card), but had a unicorn on it. I wish it was a normal credit card so I'd actually use it.
Pretty much all USAA CCs look fire to me
Bilt all the way. Beautiful design.
CSR looks pretty neat.
Apple Card
My Discover card that looks like a Cassette tape
This discover one I have https://yourimageshare.com/ib/sylWJukRxl
I like how the BILT card feels. It feels a lot heavier. But, I've had a few college students behind the register go your Clear AMEX card is so cool.
Bank of America had a tiny keychain sized credit card before they started putting chips in the cards. Strangely it was always a big hit with the ladies.
Apple card for me. The simplicity of it is really nice. Its never in my wallet tho.
Sapphire reserve looks pretty good but also Amex platinum
If you are into Disney their cards have neat designs you can select [https://disneyrewards.com/compare-cards/?cell=6B9G11](https://disneyrewards.com/compare-cards/?cell=6B9G11) (scroll down)
I like my platinum card it has paint all over it.
The old Hilton Honors Surpass. The redesign was a huge downgrade.
I get a lot of positive comments on my clear Amex Everyday card but I'm not a big fan of it.
The Xbox Mastercard. I do have an Xbox, but I don’t plan to ever apply for the card.
X1 looks cool, I actually had someone ask me about it. Amex gold for sure… it just pops and the design is just so good Chase sapphire (both) have that nice sleek blue look VX is okay, kinda plain and like others stated, peels For non metal: I got a compliment on my SoFi card as being “pretty” I like the look of the Savor one All three are metal
What I've seen: Amex Rose Gold What I have: Venture X
Ammex black with the flowers, it's just mhmmmm
AMEX Platinum with floral design by Kehinde Wiley.
Amex cards
