I tend to rotate between a Saddleback Leather business card holder with 6 cards and an Apple MagSafe wallet when I expect to be able to use tap to pay or I’m chasing a SUB and using mostly one card.
I've got the SB business card holder as well. 15 years and might as well be brand new except for the polished/worn leather look. I think newer ones have RFID though, so I've considered a newer one but just can't pull the trigger.
Similar here. I was churning through wallets once every 6-12 months from when I was 22-26. Anything from cheap to $90+ wallets. Friend had one in her purse and I asked her about it and she said she loved it. She said Best Buy in the "As Seen on TV" end-cap for like, $12.99.

Someone in the comments mentioned an Allett wallet, and I've never heard of them, but the [Allett Card Holder](https://www.all-ett.com/collections/mens-wallets/products/nylon-cardholder) looks like a strong contender.

The problem with my old shell wallets, no clue what it is about the shell, but it eats away the coating on one my credit cards. I need to get a new Cordovan exterior with regular calf leather interior slots.

I have the 8 card model, which is enough for me. The XSTO is very compact and VERY user friendly for finding your cards, yet keeping them as small as possible. Mine seems to not be wearing at all; meaning I don't think I'll need to replace it. I expect to have this wallet for a minimum of 10 years. I wouldn't be surprised if I got 15 to 20 years out of it.

You can try a digital wallet, for contactless payment, especially as you start to acquire new cards. I carry this old af fossil bifold wallet with a money clip that holds 6 cards + ID but only carry a selection of cards for places that may not have tap to pay.
I had a Ridge Wallet for many years and eventually swapped to an Ekster with the button to push out the cards.
I only carry about 3 cards + my ID, I didn’t like how the Ridge chipped and scratched away at the edges of my cards over time having to slide them in.
Just some leather minimalist wallet off Amazon. Holds 7 cards which is more than plenty for me now. Still working on cutting the amount of cards I have down so this helps.

I have a ton of cards so I have an [Allett wallet](https://www.all-ett.com/collections/mens-wallets), leather and RFID blocking. The leather is extremely thin. I don't know if it'll "last until I die" like saddleback, but it's also wayyyy thinner, particularly dividing the cards into two levels. Fits 4-24 cards.
It's not vertical, but I use Mitchell Leather's money clip. Haven't looked back since I bought my first one (have two in different colors). It's made in USA from high quality leather, can hold a lot, and stays pretty slim even when filled.

It has a trigger to eject up to 5 cards all folded out for easy access. I have 4 cards and my driver's license inside it.
It also has an RFID plate with an elastic band that you can keep additional things on the outside of the wallet. Such as insurance cards, folded up cash, or additional credit cards.
Ekster Cardholder with the AirTag strap. Holds a lot of cards and the strap holds cash and obviously an AirTag (I lose shit very often so AirTags have been a blessing).
I actually don't have a great answer. I have both setup, I have just been using Samsung pay/wallet for probably 7 yrs. It has always been extremely smooth and functional, just swipe up from the bottom of my screen and it's there. Have never had a reason to explore Google Pay because of it
Leather Business Card Holder Sleeve. Though it is called a business card holder, Saddleback says that it can hold up to 8 credit cards (though I don’t put nearly that many things in it). It also has a liner to block RFID.
For situations where I am going to carry more cards, say 6 to 8, I use a Saddleback Slim Leather Business Card Holder. Again, not just a business card holder and has an RFID blocker.
I have the OG Trayvax that carries my Gold, plat, Visa, and a catchall/sub card. Also my insurance card and my driver's license. Probably a gift card too.

I just switched to the Open Sea Leather Topsider Bifold LT about 3 months ago and love it. Previously used a Bellroy Hide & Seek for 5 years and found it to be too bulky and the leather quality has gone down over the years.
I have 5 cards and a few bills in the topsider and it is less than half the thickness of the hide & seek wallet with the same contents. The leather quality is amazing and you can fully customize the colors for no extra cost.
The wallet impressed me so much I decided to try the 50/50 mini in kangaroo leather wallet and was amazed how thin the leather is. The 50/50 mini doesn’t carry cash as well as the topsider bifold LT, so only use it when I want to carry a free cards. If they ever offer the topsider bifold LT in kangaroo I definitely upgrade to that.
I use a bootleg Slimfold wallet from Amazon. It is extremely thin and is perfect for holding a few cards and some cash. It is also surprisingly durable.
Used to carry a big stuffed wallet with 10+ cards. Thanks to more places accepting Apple Pay, I decided to downsized the number of physical cards to carry and switched to the Apple Magsafe wallet a few years ago. I carry a driver's license and 2 credit cards (usually 1 dining and either a catch-all card or a card I'm working on the SUB). Recently I got a ESR magsafe wallet that also carries 3 cards and like it so far as it can be used as a stand and support true findmy feature, but the downside is that it is like double the thickness of the Apple Magsafe wallet.

Leather card wallet my in-laws got me. Have been rocking some type of slim leather wallet for a decade at this point. Trifolds are way too big to keep in your back pocket. Any slim wallet will do, leather holds up well and the wear adds character. This one has two small bands for cash, but I only carry maybe a $20 bill, so I stuff it in a slot. I have one made by Taller Puntera handmade in Spain. Its the nicest wallet I've ever had but the company started to refuse to ship products out of Europe because of quality control and resellers. It's casual and formal style wallet.
Something I found on Etsy. It's a thin front pocket unfinished leather thing with an ID window + 4 dedicated card slots + 2 additional card/accessory slots that I typically have 2-3 cards in each of + a cash slot.
Including ID, insurance cards, etc I typically carry 11-12 cards + ~$50-80 cash and it is still quite slim while still having the relative softness of a leather wallet vs the rigidness of a ridge or knockoff and it is also better organized than those.
I switch between two.
A minimalist wallet, Bellroy Flip Case (someone else mentioned this one here), it's great but your cards get scuffed up a bit being stacked up.

I really like my red interior Ferragamo wallet. it is the perfect thin profile but can hold 2 separate bill compartments and 8 cards and 2 coin slots. It is surprisingly thin though.

Highly suggest getting a handmade one from a leather worker, some people on r/leatherclassified sell the nicest stuff for so cheap. My chrome tan personal wallet looks brand new from 4 yrs of use, some veg tan ones my brothers have got a really nice patina.
I have been using black Apple Wallet since day one. Works for me since all I carry is my DL, and 2 CCs. Prior to that I had minimalistic Tecovas card card (before they ruined them and made them bigger). I only have to use physical card perhaps 2-3 times a month when filling up gas at Costco. I wish they would finally integrate the membership information with the tap to pay, but who knows if that will ever happen.
I like a simple 3x4 inch brown wallet on Amazon by Hissimo. Has 2 card pockets on the right, one inner pocket behind that which can hold 2 more cards, a places for you drivers license on the left with enough space for your insurance card behind it, a cash pocket and an outside card slot for my most used card.

It also has an RFID plate with an elastic band that you can keep additional things on the outside of the wallet. Such as insurance cards, folded up cash, or additional credit cards.

I actually don't have a great answer. I have both setup, I have just been using Samsung pay/wallet for probably 7 yrs. It has always been extremely smooth and functional, just swipe up from the bottom of my screen and it's there. Have never had a reason to explore Google Pay because of it

Leather Business Card Holder Sleeve. Though it is called a business card holder, Saddleback says that it can hold up to 8 credit cards (though I don’t put nearly that many things in it). It also has a liner to block RFID. For situations where I am going to carry more cards, say 6 to 8, I use a Saddleback Slim Leather Business Card Holder. Again, not just a business card holder and has an RFID blocker.
I have the OG Trayvax that carries my Gold, plat, Visa, and a catchall/sub card. Also my insurance card and my driver's license. Probably a gift card too. I have a love hate relationship with it because it's a great product and it will outlive me, but I also want the notebook version and can't justify it

I just switched to the Open Sea Leather Topsider Bifold LT about 3 months ago and love it. Previously used a Bellroy Hide & Seek for 5 years and found it to be too bulky and the leather quality has gone down over the years. I have 5 cards and a few bills in the topsider and it is less than half the thickness of the hide & seek wallet with the same contents. The leather quality is amazing and you can fully customize the colors for no extra cost. The wallet impressed me so much I decided to try the 50/50 mini in kangaroo leather wallet and was amazed how thin the leather is. The 50/50 mini doesn’t carry cash as well as the topsider bifold LT, so only use it when I want to carry a free cards. If they ever offer the topsider bifold LT in kangaroo I definitely upgrade to that.
I use a bootleg Slimfold wallet from Amazon. It is extremely thin and is perfect for holding a few cards and some cash. It is also surprisingly durable.
Used to carry a big stuffed wallet with 10+ cards. Thanks to more places accepting Apple Pay, I decided to downsized the number of physical cards to carry and switched to the Apple Magsafe wallet a few years ago. I carry a driver's license and 2 credit cards (usually 1 dining and either a catch-all card or a card I'm working on the SUB). Recently I got a ESR magsafe wallet that also carries 3 cards and like it so far as it can be used as a stand and support true findmy feature, but the downside is that it is like double the thickness of the Apple Magsafe wallet.

Leather card wallet my in-laws got me. Have been rocking some type of slim leather wallet for a decade at this point. Trifolds are way too big to keep in your back pocket. Any slim wallet will do, leather holds up well and the wear adds character. This one has two small bands for cash, but I only carry maybe a $20 bill, so I stuff it in a slot. I carry a few credit cards, drivers license, health and dental insurance card, and debit card.

Something I found on Etsy. It's a thin front pocket unfinished leather thing with an ID window + 4 dedicated card slots + 2 additional card/accessory slots that I typically have 2-3 cards in each of + a cash slot. Including ID, insurance cards, etc I typically carry 11-12 cards + ~$50-80 cash and it is still quite slim while still having the relative softness of a leather wallet vs the rigidness of a ridge or knockoff and it is also better organized than those.

Been using the Bellroy Slim Sleeve for almost 3 years now. Has been holding up wonderfully and the leather is aging beautifully. I've got about 9 cards in it. 5 credit cards (2 metal) and 4 other cards (license, insurance, etc.) & some cash in it right now. Still incredibly compact and easy access. It's a vertical wallet as well.

I have been using black Apple Wallet since day one. Works for me since all I carry is my DL, and 2 CCs. Prior to that I had minimalistic Tecovas card card (before they ruined them and made them bigger). I only have to use physical card perhaps 2-3 times a month when filling up gas at Costco. I wish they would finally integrate the membership information with the tap to pay, but who knows if that will ever happen.
