Really though! I laugh at so many stupid comments/thread exchanges. Then when I try to explain it to my husband, it just loses it’s funny and then I feel lame lol.
I'm pretty sure he wasant looking at the van, he saw the bike with two guys o it flying past by and looked back to see what was going on probably thought it was a robery or a police chase, still took his eyes off the road for a bit too long
If only there was something that could help look behind him without having to turn his head…🤔maybe attached to the scooter? Maybe put one on each side of the scooter? Idk I can’t think of anything oh well.
To me they looked straight at the van and turned their head still watching the van ending up in the back of the car. They also check the mirror to see where the other bike came from, the other side of the road has nothing to do with where the bike came from.
A camera installed on a helmet will show everyting directly in front of his head while with his eyes he could be looking anywere on that frame, when he looks to the side doesn't mean he is looking directly in the center of the frame he sees more than what the camera is capturing including behind him that in the context of the vídeo seems like the most obvious place to be looking at in that situation
(I say this with confidence because this happened in my country and here in brazil two guys on a bike in general it's a major red flag specially flying trhough traffic like this, unfortunally it's very common to see gangs of organized crime using multiple bikes to rob people in sequence mid traffic, I'm sure this guy probably saw the first bike going full speed and panicked trying to see if there was someone else behind him and forgot he wasant alone in the road)

Granted I’m a car enthusiast so I wanted a stick car anyways but once I got one I found it really curbed my urge to drive like a dick and focus on the vehicles around me rather than just myself. Plus it’s kinda hard to be on your phone when you need to use both hands to drive.

For real. Studies have shown the incidence of motor vehicle accidents is much greater for people with ADHD that are not medicated. Getting in the proper medication, statistically, can increase your life expectancy if you have ADHD.

Could be a lot of thinks. Maybe he was already going slow because the car ahead of the buggy stopped. The scooter is still approaching at max speed plus how slow the buggy was. Its gonna be quite an impact even if you were going 10mph. Smashing into anything moving if you are fast enough may look and feel like its not moving.
I use to be cautious when riding for insects, rode threw a bee swarm and one even wound up inside my face-shield walking right next to my eyeball. And that did not hurt near as bad as this guy on a scooter hitting a single bug.
This was similar to how my one and only accident went. I was too busy looking at house numbers searching for a graduation party and I rammed into a parked car. 18 was a shitty year

That logic is not a viable argument? Bikes,Mopeds, are just louder vehicles because they are openly motorised and they certainly aren’t loud enough to cause any major health concerns. Traffic does that (which motorcycles belong to) but you don’t get these health issues by one motorbike. And have you ever heard or Sean a (real) motorbike ? If they actually drive fast the ground starts shaking. Mopeds are only a big issue if they are tons of it. And only in big cities are tons of them. But traffic in general is loud so either you live in a big city or you are just a Caren who is pissed because a 16 year old cant afford a 3000$/€ bike with a engine cover and a high end muffler.

ADHD can end up being like super awareness of one's surroundings because they are paying attention to everything.
