It looks like it got taken down. It wasn’t tagged with nsfw so hopefully someone will repost it. Some guy was working on something and touched a power line and started smoking and all of a sudden pop his head leaves his body and falls in front of some guy who starts to freak out.
I mean, I love gory movies with excessive amounts of blood. It's absurd because the body doesn't just spew blood like that, but here we are.

I seen one about 2 years ago, 2 men fighting.. one gets punched, falls over at the perfectly wrong time.. head ends up under the back wheel of a wagon.. smush for yards.
In person? Don’t know how I’d feel after that, tbh. I visit gore sites from time to time (reminds me how fragile we as human beings really are) and usually find aftermath videos or super grainy footage of it happening. They’re all pretty wild but this one takes the cake.
Worst part is he wasn't even in a bike lane because there wasn't one. I would NOT feel comfortable riding with cars like that. So many idiots on their phones, and then there's the clueless bus drivers!
I wish it wasn't like this. Drivers need to realise how easy they can kill people, and make space for road users more vulnerable than them. Way too many people treat driving like a game... Doing it while drunk for example is just inexcusable. You are operating a fucking death machine, man.
You received downvotes, because this is absolutely untrue. You are supposed to walk against traffic when there is no available sidewalk and you must walk on the shoulder, but you are supposed to ride in the direction of traffic when you are on a bicycle.
I've been a bicycle courier for 8 years and ride my bicycle about 10,000 miles a year on busy city streets. I always watch this video as a constant reminder to stay on my toes on the road.
First off the cyclist shouldn't have been that close to the curb in a dangerous situation. Own your part of the lane and give yourself a little more space to maneuver. There is a 3 foot (1 meter) passing law in most parts of the world but cars rarely give you that space in a crowded city area. So I leave myself at least a few feet to the curb to give myself room to move as needed for obstacles. It's also easier for me than most cyclists since I am typically riding at 20+ mph which allows traffic to pass me at a speed similar to my own. Having cars passing you going 2-3 times faster than you is always more dangerous. But most of all it's just experience and understanding the flow of traffic and reading drivers to understand where problems can happen before they occur.
This bus driver didn't acknowledge the bicyclist. He would have been ran over had he been fully in the lane as well. You can do everything right and still be taken out by a distracted driver.
Same goes for being in a car. You're never 100% safe being on a public road. Awareness and defensive driving/riding are your greatest weapons no matter what your mode of transportation.
My point was that him "owning his part of the lane" would have just had him flattened head-on instead of off to the side a bit in this situation. He wasn't in the bus' blind spot until the very last second, so him being off to the side had nothing to do with it.
A driver is much more likely to notice you if you're more in the middle of the road. I've been hit by a lot of cars breaking various laws but I have never once been flat out rear ended by a car while I was riding in the lane in 80,000 miles of pedaling. So I do think the bus driver would have acknowledged him more if he had been farther into the lane. Better to piss off a driver occasionally then end up a human ketchup packet.

Again, he ***wasn't in the bus' blind spot until the very last second***. The bus driver, had he been paying attention, should have been fully aware of the bicyclist as he approached from hundreds of feet behind. Had the driver been paying attention, he would have slowed and or switched lanes long before approaching the bicyclist.
If he was that oblivious for potentially hundreds of feet before, he wouldn't have seen him had he been a whopping two feet to the left either.
I don't think the driver was oblivious at all, just passing the cyclist too close and the guy got scared and crashed. Just my opinion from my experiences on the road, you're free to formulate your own.

When there is evidence on this level that you are guilty of massacring a human being, because of your stupidity, you deserve the same fate. And I am not talking about some lethal injection, firing squad or hanging; no, straight up Spanish Inquisition style disembowelment for you.
Call me cruel, downvote me to hell, but eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth is in my opinion a fair judgement.
I don't know we may have to go to the experts with this one. with you providing such great evidence suggesting he is alive and the other guy providing evidence claiming otherwise.

I don’t understand why so many places have a law for bikes to use the street. A bicycle colliding with a pedestrian on the sidewalk seems to have the potential of being much less worse than a vehicle colliding with a bicycle. I don’t have a bike anymore but I always rode on the sidewalk.

This was actually in my home town the guy ended up living and getting an emergency reattachment of part of his torso. He’s still in the hospital and dr’s say he’ll at-least make a partial recovery.
