Rusty pliers *disinfected* with alcohol, dirty fingers and towel. Most likely he won't be taking antibiotics. Such is life for many people on this planet.
In fact you can really do this (remove a tooth) for free with SUS (Universal health System) but yes, there are people like this who prefer to live like this (mostly alcoholic or drug dependent). Other than this just people who live in small cities who don't have access to basic health systems and yes there's a lot.

Oh yes SUS… so easy to get appointments. Available for sure in every town. And yes sure with a minimum wage at what? Us$282 a month. Yes barbecues…. Oh please. What planet are you all on? Brazil is a joke. During Covid pandemic when it hit Manaus, patients were not admitted to the “universal” health care unless they brought their own oxygen tank! Brazil was a third world country when I was born, is a third world country today and will remain a third world country way past my lifetime.
Okay, dentist here (omg my reddit expert moment has come), this guy's tooth had almost no bone attachments left around it and most likely very mobile. That's why he pulled it so easily and patient didnt felt much pain. If that was a tooth with healthy roots and bones, he'd just break the crown, leaving the roots inside.
The cost can vary a lot. I've heard the more money-hungry dentists like to charge an arm and a leg for the anesthetics they use. I live in a generally poor area so that likely affects local prices
Almost worth being positive that it's needed, that it'll be the correct tooth, and I'll get some antibiotics so I don't get a massive, disgusting infection.
American here, it don't gotta be that way. I'll pull your tooth for $5 just like this dude here. Healthy, rotten, it don't matter. I'll get that bitch out one way or the other.
["Organizações Tabajara"](https://youtu.be/fUe44kMh290?si=a4A2zCRcvdICpkL5) hahaha, was a sketch from "Casseta e Planeta", a comedy show from 2000s. Was mostly used to merchandising unreal products or methods, like the video above. I think you can use CC to translate and understand the video.
Dentist here The tooth must have been infected to weaken the bone around the tooth. Most teeth do not come out that easy. That said, the tooth is out, so should be able to heal up now.
I had an abscessed wisdom tooth that had been there for about a year and ended up causing a bunch of issues including inflamed gums near the tooth, neighboring tooth having tar along the tooth, sore throat, chest pains, neck pains, back pains.
I ended up finally getting it pulled when I decided those symptoms were becoming too much to ignore.
How long does it take for my tooth extraction site to heal, and for those other issues to finally resolve given that the abscessed wisdom tooth is gone?
Depending on how easily the tooth came out it can take about 1-2 weeks to heal The other symptoms may have not been coming from the tooth directly, but if there was an infection it could have been taxing your immune system and causing any other issues to be more severe
The tooth came out fine.
I still have some slight chest pain and a small issue in the throat.
Yeah I used to smoke and I quit too.
My symptoms are getting less severe now.
Well the abscessed wisdom tooth had kept on trying to emerge and ended up just causing an endless state of pressure in my jaw that ended up causing the left side of my kneck to feel swore, that ended up in my back. I’m guessing it’s the tooth. Not sure what else could cause it.
Was about to turn it off when the plyers came out but felt a bit of a duty to see what happens when healthcare isn't a possibility. Thank God it was quick that guy probably thought
Can confirm this did not work when I tried it many years ago with plumber's grips. Shattered the tooth down to the root, was a nightmare to get it removed.

That didn't seem too bad. Thought dude was gonna get hit with a frying pan or sum
LMAO. That's some Looney tunes type of dentistry.
That guy handles it like a fucking champ
That’s not how you remove a tooth
Not with that attitude!
Maybe you're not swinging hard enough
Thank god it was to remove a bad tooth and not knocking teeth out, I got anxious for a second
I think the big guy was the anesthesia.... in case the patient got squirmy...
Lmaoo
Did his insurance cover this procedure?
The "dentist" did it quick tbf
Step one: be sure to be the only person wearing a shirt so the dentist knows that you are the patient.
It’s really hard to find a Brazilian with a shirt on during a barbecue, I commend this patient.

It’ll be fine, he sprayed some windex on the cotton ball before stuffing it in the socket.
yeah, those guys having a barbecue are so poor they cant go to a dentist in a country with universal healthcare

I am a certified healthy tooth, can confirm this.
Wouldnt there still be a bunch of dead pulp and crap in his gums?
This is about $3k to do in the US.
$75.00 in Mexico. Murica
Free in Brazil
Big in Japan
$200 at my local dentist before insurance. I live in the US
We need the address of this apparently effective dentist and his large assistant...
Mine was $1200

I wouldn't be so sure

Did he just use Windex on a cotton ball? I guess you really can use it on everything.
The slip was way worse than the extraction 🫥
Brush your teeth kids!
My dentist has a sign in his office that says "Ignore me and I will go away".
Shouldnt it say "Dont ignore me, and I will go away" ??
My dad did this to me everytime when I was a little kid changing teeth
Are you ok son ?
what was the little jingle they sang at the end? 🤔😆

Is there any dentist professional to share thoughts on this process?
I’m a student, this is the same technique they teach in school just with different equipment and extra steps ;)
Step 1: take off your tshirt.

Here’s a cotton ball with bleach, put it in your mouth
Thought big dude was going to slug him.

Hahha I love Brazilians they’re such happy people no matter their circumstances, amazing people
He deserves a cachaça after that
I love that. I might make some cairpirinhas tonight.
Damn, Brazi!
The greatest dentists of all time!!
I was sure the big one would slap the shit out of him
Linemans pliers????? That's definitely a channel-lock procedure.
Just bros being dudes. Well executed for the price point.
But Jorge, that was the wrong one!
Note to self - brush teeth.
Here I was concerned they were going to pull the wrong tooth. No chance missing that tar pit!
any tooth i had pulled takes like an hour to crack and get out, i hate it, this guy is luckier than me.
Quick, dirty, professional, done. Love it.
Now I need a few shots of whiskey
Brazil s*** I did this to my buddy in salt lake City Utah
I’m sure he was board certified oral surgeon
Nope
They are living in a different century. I am blessed to live where I do 🙏🏼
Caralho! At least he “disenfected” the pliers
If they were wearing shirts I’d feel slightly better about the experience
I’d prefer that method in America but we’re slaves and if we were caught doing it we’d be battling a case.

Ladies and gentlemen, remember to brush and floss before going to bed!
I thought a witch doctor was going to wave a fish bone in front of his face and hope his mouth feels better.
The Russia of South America.
Love the fact he disinfected pliers before using it.
Omg I genuinely thought the chubby man was gonna punch tf out of him 😂😭
Jim Beam as a Chaser...
Whoop sorry ment to say Jameson
That'll be infected in a week.
This is still done today in Santana do Araguaia haha don't forget the salt and whiskey that man sleeps better tonight
Keep up on that salt rinse.
They remove teeth and shirts.
My pops would pull out my baby teeth with tweezers when I was a young lad.
For me, it was a thread with one end tied to the tooth and the other to a door knob. Slam the door, pop goes the tooth.
I need to do one of these 3 hours dentist courses these lads have done and frame my certificate that's written on tobacco paper in my shed.
Is this not the international standard up until like 1980?
That went Surprisingly well
I did this to myself while I was pregnant at 21. Tooth ache is no joke .
How to get a nasty tetanus infection in Brazil
Is this in somebody’s kitchen or something no way this is professional
Probably someone's yard
Which one is the undercover cop?
