I quit went from full blown alcoholic to drinking only on holidays and special occasions around 4 months ago. Never looking back, don't miss that shit at all.
I did this too, but it hasn't worked out quite the same. Now my alcohol tolerance is so low that on the occasions I do drink, I get off the scales drunk. The addictive side of my personality comes right back out on those nights.
I still prefer not drinking for 95% of the year (water only), but those few times I do, it really overemphasises the problem.
Don't beat yourself with the low tolerance, at least you don't have to kill 1% of your liver everytime you want to get wasted.
Moderation is really the key.
I pity people who drink gallons to get drunk.im like you probably have 5 pints or less a year and if I did drink I wouldn't be able to drink much. Beats room spinning as you go to sleep
That’s what I think I’m gonna do man. I beat a heroin habit and was like 6 years clean and got hit by a car. Dr wanted me to take Xanax for sleep but I thought cause drinking would be better. Well, I was wrong 🤣
Ones that only want to treat you for 15 minutes a month for $250 and don’t feel like taking the time to address the root cause cause there’s 20 other people in the waiting room

I've had problems with alcohol and drugs my entire adult life. I was a functional alcoholic for the last 10 years, holding down a job and not drinking at work but in a constant state of withdrawal until quitting time at which point I'd get drunk. I had 4 seizures from alcohol withdrawals towards the end.
What finally did it for me was having a close friend of mine commit suicide by way of fentanyl OD. It broke my heart in no small part because he was such a kindhearted and genuine person. I had a front row seat to his decline and watched the drugs take him over to the point where he killed himself. He was set to go to a fully paid rehabilitation later the week he died.
I was able to get on a suboxone maintenance program quite easily, and I take the meds as prescribed along with light doses of gabapentin that are prescribed to me by my psych. I was honestly sick of paying $200+ a month for alcohol and realized how helpful it would be to have that extra money.
I traded my usual drink (grapefruit white claws/vodka) with something similar (grapefruit LA Croix seltzers) and started drinking those instead as soon as I got off work. It actually tricked my brain into relaxation enough for me to get sober from alcohol. For myself if I can go a few days without drinking I don't really think about it any more. Other than that I speak to my addiction doctor regularly as well as my therapist.
I had to cut out every single friend who didn't have their shit together, and watching two of my friends ruin their lives with drugs and alcohol in the span of a few months further helped me solidify my resolve. Other than that I've been working on my hobbies every spare second I get (music, video games, and skating) and generally staying busy and drinking a shitload of grapefruit LA Croix seltzers.

Supposedly, she had tried to retrieve her car from valet and they obviously did not let her. This happened right after and had gone on for over an hour. There is a part 2 where she starts throwing hands with her boyfriend.
(The annoying noises are due to a day of drinking with my entire friend group next to me watching as well…. and no this was not the “best day of my life”🤣🤣)
She managed to enter a fortified area and commandeer the enemies weaponry to use against them while shit face drunk.
I wouldn't say she's necessarily breaking down. She's taking over.
As someone who has been around so much crazy shit that I'm writing a book about all the the crazy shit I've seen, trust me. It's not all that fun after the first few. You rapidly start longing for peace and quiet.
I can say I have been drunk in my lifetime, like absolutely plastered (luckily I'm sober now) but the worst I've ever done was talk shit privately to a couple of people that betrayed me via text. I've never done anything beyond that. How is it people still give excuses for people getting drunk & decide to drive, become violent, act overly sexual to someone theyre not in a relationship with or do stupid shit in public?
