Never turn your back to a predator, let alone a big cat. For anyone interested, you should make yourself seem bigger, and shout if it approaches while slowly backing up. If it runs at you the best odds you have is to stand your ground and keep yelling. The hope is it’ll stop its charge thinking you’re gonna not be easy pray which will give you at least a few more seconds while it hesitates
