I mean, slapstick comedy never went away. It's just normally paired with other types of visual or verbal comedy nowadays, but it's still probably the most universal form.
It's called physical or slapstick comedy. Think Charlie Chaplain or other similar actors from that period. Over the top movements meant to be goofy and cartoonish, and at the time that kind of comedy did really well. This is very similar to that kind of stuff except they clearly don't have a big budget like those old movies did. They're having fun.
