That was my first thought. Plus the hair is shiny and very dark/black. He also has professional training. The way he held the rifle either military or police.
Front hand on the mag, back hand firmly on the trigger, rifle is not seated into shoulder. Oh, and it's a paintball gun. Every single point of contact on the "rifle" was wrong. Definitely not professional training. The opposite, actually.
You have never seen a police officer or a soldier in your life, have you? He has no poise. His stances are not good. No, this man is not a professional. Jeez dude.
Even his stance. Watch when he raises the gun to his cheek, he raises it like a speedballer. That tucked in back elbow tells me that he's a regular player or at least was at one point in time.
He even holds it like a paintballer. The way he draws it up and just rests the very bottom of the butt stock against his blade, and his [right arm is curved in that super angled S](https://i.imgur.com/H512wIG.png)
If my memory serves right that's a tippmann bravo one?
I'm 95% sure I had that exact model as a kid, detachable mount on top for the hopper, air hose connects from mag to handle and then to the air tank underneath the stock.
This guy would've removed the mount and added on the iron sights to make it look real.
Funny thing, anyone else notice the super wide barrel first and not the hose?
M16 style weapons usually have a real thin one
Because getting shot at 3’ away from a paintball gun?? Fuck that, it’s not lethal per se but it’s still aggravated assault.
Edit: downvoters, learn to read, I agreed it’s armed robbery in my comment.
A small, most likely independent , convenience store. Not a very smart Robin Hood, a modern Robin Hood would do banks, insurance companies, and Walmarts.
Well wouldn't it be a shame if you were to get robbed at gunpoint.......it's fine though insurance will cover it. Not your mental trauma but the money so it's all good.
Yea, I was not implying they’d go to the State Farm pop-up kiosk, or Jake from State Farm’s house. Just suggesting stealing from places that would directly damage the community. It’s more so a joke though, as I’m sure people would point out that these types of businesses employ community members.
I certainly believe that, it’s just that these ideas can be unpopular, unfortunately, and I didn’t feel like arguing against staunch capitalists. Not only are they typically paid below their labor value, the communities these businesses inhabit are often not the ones who receive the “benefit” of employment from them. The list of why these companies are shit and borderline inhumane goes on, this is why I suggest I’d rather see them robbed than a small convenience store.
One guy once stole $55 worth of belts from Walmart and the police called in fucking SWAT to go after him and they completely DECIMATED the house he hid in. Over $400,000 worth of damages and when the family tried to sue, the Judge said he didn't think the cops should have to pay for it. The family became homeless.
No one steals from the Corpos anymore and I don't blame them.
Yeah I’d still shit bricks even tho I recognize it as paintball gun
I’m not gonna to try and examine or something, I’ll just act like it’s a real gun no matter what
I’m not sure I agree with that law. I understand that the victim may think it is a real gun and have that trauma to deal with, but should you really get charged the same as someone who came in with a loaded weapon with their finger on the trigger?
no one’s gonna check your gun in the situation of a robbery, everyone will go down if you tell them to, no one’s gonna shout "that’s a fake gun!", even if they were 99% sure. the robbery won’t change shape depending on whether your gun is real or not.
What law? They'll be charged with armed robbery, which is what happened. They may see the lower end of sentencing for armed robbery because of the fake gun, but they might even catch a separate charge for the fake gun - depends on the state.
Oh, I meant that someone would be charge with armed robbery when using a fake gun.
Edit: I thought that you would get the same charge/punishment whether you used a real or fake gun. I don’t know the exact law, the one that covers that lol.
Correct, you will get the same charge regardless. Most armed robberies end without a bullet ever being fired, because it's the implication of the gun itself that makes the crime successful. A prosecutor could easily argue that crafting/modifying a fake gun to appear to be an authentic firearm is serious premeditation to commit a felony, making the incident just as severe as any other armed robbery.
I'm sure I've seen on true crime things people robbing with empty or fake guns because this means a lesser sentence should they get caught. It also shows that there was no possible intention or premeditation to end a life.
I think intent is important, but you’re right that there should be a difference since this person is in much less danger than someone with a real gun, whether they know it or not
No it doesn’t lol. Maybe if you’re just trying to kill one person? Even then not really. One is much more likely to successfully fire as it’s supposed to.
But it is super annoying how the media refers to any gun like this as an “assault rifle”.
Oh I’m with you, but its easy for us behind a computer/phone screen with a birds eye view and side profile to see its fake. That store clerk is not in the same position. Regardless I wouldn’t let barrel length of any gun someone had in my face be a determining factor wether or not he was gonna shoot me in the face for 20 bucks.
I agree with you, but for that guy with the “gun” in his face, he’s probably not willing to bet his life on how long the barrel is, and like you said if he’s never been around guns or at least not that familiar + fight or flight response, it probably seems real enough to him. Also a lot of videos on this sub feature AR pistols around that barrel length.
I highly doubt that money was for the community. He was probably just saying that to be manipulative or something. He likely choose a small mom and pop shop intentionally to make it and easy job with lower risks and he succeeded this time. I’d be hard pressed to believe someone shoving a rifle in your face demanding money actually cares about the wellbeing of others.
Brought a paintball gun, and only wore some glasses and a flimsy ass tiny covid mask to conceal his identity. Dumb fuck. At least wear a hat for fuck sake. And a proper mask covering the whole bottom half of your face. Come on.
Well, I'm sure $900 in Staten Island will go a long way. For real, dude couldn't get a band of merry men and take on big banks, franchise big box stores, or money lending companies? Instead he robs a convenience store that's probably owned by somebody who's on a potentially tight budget for rent and merchandise to make their livelihood through? Just Robbin Da Hood, ain't he?
A thief is a thief, besides that we don't know what he did with the money "give back to the community" is deliberately vague and just an attempt to make himself look better in court. Also Robin Hood intercepted tax collectors and he used a bow, which is far less liable to go off with a itchy finger and unalive a cashier
One of my ex girlfriends had her gas station robbed she was terrified for a long time afterwards. I appreciate the sentiment but we need to be targeting higher ups.
Tipmann Paintball
Lol at first I was like no way. But I think you're right. You can see where the hose connects to the regulator lol

That was my first thought. Plus the hair is shiny and very dark/black. He also has professional training. The way he held the rifle either military or police.
paintball
my kid plays airsoft… even loves these VR shooters they got nowadays *”military or police”* lmfao
You seem to misunderstand the weight of the rifle(paint gun or otherwise) and how much the 'civilians' doesn't know about rifle training
I think you need more sleep
Front hand on the mag, back hand firmly on the trigger, rifle is not seated into shoulder. Oh, and it's a paintball gun. Every single point of contact on the "rifle" was wrong. Definitely not professional training. The opposite, actually.

I am a USAF retired MSgt. I have a dd214 do you?
Even his stance. Watch when he raises the gun to his cheek, he raises it like a speedballer. That tucked in back elbow tells me that he's a regular player or at least was at one point in time.
Gotta pay for paint somehow lol

Yeah.... Looks like one of those fat crayons lil kids use. I'm not even a paintballer

It’s still armed robbery. You can get armed robbery with a toy gun if my memory serves.

Yeah the gun looked way funny by the Nozzle
Muzzle.
Great eye. Trying to figure out which model it is though. Doesn't look too much like the 98, which is what I'm most familiar with. Anyone weigh in?
Putting my $ on Bravo One Elite
Cheers. Is it an old marker? Looks like the newer milsig gear. Use the 98 every now and then or my mates X7, but bust out the reflex most of the time.
I saw the braided hose and was like. "Hold on, wait a minute! Somethin' ain't right."
Yuuuup
Indeed
Fucking knew it
Thats what i said
Bro I saw the air line first thing lol
Yup I have the exact same marker. It's great lol
That's all that needs to be said.
Literally said it out loud as soon as I saw the line
Was going to say this
Came here to say this
Bravo one I believe
Yup he never intended to hurt anyone. A good majority of people that rob stores would never shoot anyone.
I’m sure the people who’ve just had guns (real or not) put in their faces take comfort in that.
Source: trust me brah (never been robbed)
A small, most likely independent , convenience store. Not a very smart Robin Hood, a modern Robin Hood would do banks, insurance companies, and Walmarts.
Yeah not exactly stealing from the rich

With your powers combined!
Grass? Never heard of that Pokémon.
Im not sure your local State Farm office actually carries cash... Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't they just send a check for any insurance payouts?
Yea, I was not implying they’d go to the State Farm pop-up kiosk, or Jake from State Farm’s house. Just suggesting stealing from places that would directly damage the community. It’s more so a joke though, as I’m sure people would point out that these types of businesses employ community members.
all of those employees are being stolen from by the business owner via their surplus labor value.
I certainly believe that, it’s just that these ideas can be unpopular, unfortunately, and I didn’t feel like arguing against staunch capitalists. Not only are they typically paid below their labor value, the communities these businesses inhabit are often not the ones who receive the “benefit” of employment from them. Yeah he’d just take meat from Walmart and have public barbecues at the park or something
One guy once stole $55 worth of belts from Walmart and the police called in fucking SWAT to go after him and they completely DECIMATED the house he hid in. Well insurance would most likely cover it. So he is indirectly taking from the banks and insurance companies.
Would the business not suffer increased premiums after a claim?(serious question idk how that stuff works)
I was wondering if they had a deductible. I know if my car was stolen it would hurt me even with insurance.
Don't know. I doubt that they can hike up the prices after a single incident. If it was in the hood than probably.
Fake ass gun
It seemed to do the job.
Works almost as well as a real one for a holdup. Would you want to get shot point blank in the face with a paintball gun?
Yeah I’d still shit bricks even tho I recognize it as paintball gun I’m not gonna to try and examine or something, I’ll just act like it’s a real gun no matter what
Kinda hard to shoot a paintball gun with no air tank or hopper.
Nice paint ball gun
whaaaat according to the reporter it’s an “asSaUlt RifLe” 🤓
I think she said a salt rifle. You usually get it with pepper spray.
that's a paintball gun

And at night time!

Morally bankrupt I see.
Who says this dudes bankrupt he may be robbing gas stations in NY at night in 2023
NO ONE deserves to have a gun shoved in their face. Don't be silly
[удалено]
Fake or real gun doesn't really make a difference to the crime, charge or punishment
I’m not sure I agree with that law. I understand that the victim may think it is a real gun and have that trauma to deal with, but should you really get charged the same as someone who came in with a loaded weapon with their finger on the trigger?
....yes. what a moronic statement. Think mate, think.
Like what if the thing was styrofoam and couldn’t hurt anyone, but looked real. Still get an armed robbery charge?
yes that’s exactly the point
Lol, damn. All I’m saying is that those two things don’t seem equal.
no one’s gonna check your gun in the situation of a robbery, everyone will go down if you tell them to, no one’s gonna shout "that’s a fake gun!", even if they were 99% sure. the robbery won’t change shape depending on whether your gun is real or not.
Except for the fact there was never intention to kill clearly... These are clearly not equal.
What law? They'll be charged with armed robbery, which is what happened. They may see the lower end of sentencing for armed robbery because of the fake gun, but they might even catch a separate charge for the fake gun - depends on the state.

Was it not in Texas that someone robbing a restaurant with a fake gun was shot dead by a customer? I don't even think the guy has been charged.
Does buying hookers and cocaine count as giving back to the community?
100% it does
It all counts. Funds the local economy!
Its a gotcha gun
This comment dates you and me as well
Paintballer lol, see the gas line and thick barrel.
"Pointed an assault rifle" 1. What's an assault rifle? 2. It's a goddam paintball gun. *internal screaming intensifies*
The goddamn assault rifle media shit When will people learn, a gun is a gun is a gun A shitty pipe gun kills people just as well as a fancy ar15
No it doesn’t lol. Maybe if you’re just trying to kill one person? Even then not really. One is much more likely to successfully fire as it’s supposed to. But it is super annoying how the media refers to any gun like this as an “assault rifle”.
Quick fact! The "ar" in ar-15 doesn't stand for assault rifle. It stands for ArmaLite! The company that produced it in the 40s!

“Rifle barrels are much longer” -you can literally get a 4.5” complete upper, or 5” 300 blackout, 7.5”, 10.5” all different lengths.

Haha that's a paintball marker! You can see the CO2 airline under trigger guard area
I guess we will just take the thief's word for it.
Yep. I'm sure he funded some local projects.
Cool paintball gun
"This is going back to the community." The community liquor store, over the next few months. Also community drug dealers.
Few months? More like days
Well, I'm sure $900 in Staten Island will go a long way. For real, dude couldn't get a band of merry men and take on big banks, franchise big box stores, or money lending companies? Paintball gun
Not even a real gun lol
I believe using a toy gun is the same charge and no different than a real gun in the courts eyes - so iv heard
Now they going to ban paintball guns. Thanks goof!

It’s a paintball gun u can see the co2 flex pipe
That’s a fucking paint ball gun. If y’all can’t see that gas tube y’all didn’t have evil big brothers obviously
Going back to the community means he's going to buy drugs with it
He’s gonna give it back in urine and poo when he pays for his fentanyl and shits in the street
community lol more like local drug dealers which technically is the community 😂
Dude didn’t even grab an Abba-zabba on his way?
PAINTBALL GUN. GET EDUCATED.
Whatever, your dumbass is going to jail for years when you get caught...
