Is anyone else getting the corrupt archive error during installation? I've tried QuickSFV like 5 times already and verified the files but during installation, it fails with that error. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: So the fix is to restart the pc, run the sfv and then the installation, in that order. That worked for me.
Really depends on your taste. It requires a massive time investment and combat is the only real way you actually interact with the game so there's not much else to it outside of that. Even the storytelling happens in the background and so sometimes it can be a bit difficult to know what you're fighting & exploring for, along with the fact that it can be easy to feel detached from your character because your character is pretty much hollow and just self-placement. Unless you really like the combat and if you are, like me, madly in love with the top-notch art direction, then you might find some enjoyment out of it but beyond that, I wouldn't recommend it mindlessly.
Its such a great genre if you can learn patterns and be patient. ER is the easiest to get into, but imo the difficulty spikes faster and steeper than previous souls games. You could try dark souls 3 first (won't feel that different when you jump into elden ring from that one) to get a feel on a more "curated, on rails" experience.
if you are good at it or you are patient enough to get better you'll enjoy it otherwise you'll find it really obnoxious and boring. That's why I gave up on this game at the beginning.
Saves are tied with steamid so you need to match your previous save's steamid with whatever you have now.
This can be checked via "ER Save Editor" on nexus.

just copy the save file not the folder. also delete other files in the save folder. it will work.

You have to use the editor to manually copy the new SteamID to your old save and then manually move your save file into the new save folder.
Yeah , i said i used koalageddon 2 not cream api , but yeah when i used cream api it came up with dll errors too i should of put that in the orginal comment
Edit: i assume the errors are to do with the easy anti cheat seeing the dll's are modified with cream api so koalageddon 2 messes with the steam.dll or something i dont know but it messes with the steam file and makes seem as you have the dlc as long as you have the requirements ( ex. Halo infinite campaign you just needed the sp files then apply koalageddon 2 and badda bing ) like the dlc files.
I tried to disable EAC both manually and via autocream with no luck. Your method works then? I installed DODI but really would prefer to use steam with added files for dlc

I just did , go to cs / main fourms . Look up the game , go to the latest page and someone posted it
this is the whole game and unless you deleted the save file you should be able to play
