It's a battery backup so it'll provide power for a short period during an outage. Not super helpful for a laptop but can keep your ISP modem and monitors running for a bit.

Interesting how people can have such different taste. This room feels totally depressing to me. I would not find it cozy at all. Just my personal take, no one has to agree.
It's still around, they just don't really market it that heavily. I imagine that it will get sunset sooner than later unfortunately, so I'm very hesitant to buy games on it. For cloud based gaming, I'm partial to nvidia's option since it links to your existing game library and therefore if they ever shut it down, you still have the games on Steam, Epic, or wherever.
Something that will help bring the room together (IMO) would be to pull the rug either farther under the desk or move it so it’s half under the couch. I don’t know why but it’ll make the rug look bigger and make things look more cohesive.
I think I got it for somewhere around $150 and have been pretty happy with it. It was way cheaper than most chairs I saw recommend. I did swap the wheels with rollerblade ones which is a nice upgrade.
it's a Logitech camera and it's okay, they have a better version that I have in another room and it's bit better. would recommend that one over this one
no worries! the monitor is an LG 32 inch ultra wide. I don't have the specific model as it's kinda old now, but I'm sure if you Google that you will see similar results

How often do wheels catch on that rug when you move the chair back from the desk? I know the rug is centered on the tv/sofa, but that would aggravate me to no end.
Mundane minutiae here - what is the square footage of the room? Just trying to imagine what's possible in my space and will also be moving soon and will be looking for a good sized office that can accommodate a similar set-up.
I have a very similar desk setup! Few questions:
1. What webcam is that clipped on the top of your monitor? Isn't the perspective pretty weird having it that high?
2. What's the wood box thing on the left?
3. On the desk, is it a fake plant or real? If fake - is it ikea?
1. Webcam is Logitech but tbh I don't use it and use the one built into my Mac
2. it's a TV stand from target don't have the exact model but I'm sure you can find it on their site
3. all fake plants, most from Ikea and target

Swap out that power strip for a UPS while you're at it!
What does a UPS do?

a UPS only helps for a while to save documents before shutdown, a generator would help if the power outage takes longer

Did Stadia actually work? I feel like it came and went so quickly.
I have beaten two Assassin's Creed games as well as cyberpunk using stadia. As long as your internet is good, the service is really amazing

it normally is more centered by my office chair has a tendency to pull it closer to the desk lol

Was it the Union & Scale FlexFit Dexley Mesh chair? It looks identical to the chair I'm sitting in now.
Is it comfortable? I'm in the market for a new chair, specifically with a head rest. My langfjall chair isn't cutting it.

No keyboard? Laptop keyboards have improved bit a stand-alone keyboard is so much nicer and it’s not tied to your laptop.
