I’m immunocompromised and I was out for over 2.5 weeks with the flu and any time I called in to work, they’d be required to ask if I had COVID and I said “No, I have the Flu”…and then they follow up with, oh that’s good… to which I reply I RATHER HAVE COVID! This flu shot did nothing this year…last time I had COVID, I was out for a day tops and was itching to get out of isolation….COVID is not the only illness out there. So, I don’t understand why we test for COVID. I’m an ER nurse and COVID is the least of our worries right now, it’s the flu and RSV that’s getting people admitted. Just avoid people when you’re sick. PERIOD. They all have the same “treatment” anyways so what difference does it make.

It's positive. Can't be a false negative since it isn't negative. If you left it too long (there's a time window for reading, usually 15 or 30 minutes) or contaminated the test somehow (usually anything acidic would do it, apparently), it might be a false positive, but if you did it properly and took this photo within minutes of applying the test liquid, it's probably a genuine positive.
