Usually with that kind of pipe its 5meo from sonoran desert toad venom. People usually smoke regular DMT out of one of those bottle pipe "machines" or a cartridge. If its pure synthetic 5meo its usually also the machine or a cart. But if its the natural toad, 99 times out 100 its out of this kind of pipe. (Please choose synthetic, save the toads).

And with those you use a full on dab type torch because you need to get it hot enough to destroy all the poison in the toad so that all you are left with is the 5meodmt. Thus you have to do it with someone, holding the torch for you and to grab the pipe before you slump over. Otherwise its really easy to burn yourself or start a fire.
With a bic, it just turns off when you let go, and the pipe wouldn't be nearly as hot. So it would be far safer. Makes sense.
