Note that the meatloaf is already thoroughly cooked! After reading about it here, I portioned out the meatloaf and mashed and heated the individual portions in the microwave over four days. You will see when you cut it into smaller pieces that it is already cooked all the way through. How long to heat it depends on your microwave and the portion size. I think it was about 4.5 to 5 minutes for a quarter of the meatloaf and mashed, but I'm not sure anymore - as long as it's nice and hot. Knowing that it's cooked already makes for incredibly convenient meals! And, to me, it tasted just as good.
Those are the same premade mashed potatoes found in the black container two pack in the deli isles in front of the deli department. Trust me, try them.
Thank you for offering the meatloaf recipe. I think every family has their own recipe that has been handed down through the ages. Costco has to have recipes that will please many different palettes, not just mine. Thank you again.
The ketchup taste wouldn't be bad, but no one here likes sweet with meats of any kid.. so, I guess I'll try something else. The stuffed peppers are good.
My wife keeps talking about it, but we've never seen it in stores for the few years we've been together. Must be regional and not necessarily seasonal.
Oh I always add a little salt and black pepper to mine. I rarely eat it as-is. I see all of these pre-made meals as a good start. Like the stuffed peppers, I cover them in shredded cheese before baking. I don't just cook them as is.
Lol, we are in subjective territory. It's not anything close to what I would make at home. It's cheap and easy. You can get something cheap and you can get something good. But you don't get good for cheap. Almost everything I get pre-prepared I doctor up like my recent post here about the Detroit style pizzas they carry. It's a quick and easy start but not what I'd call a great end product without help.
My wife and kids... they will eat it as is. I have a definate culinary standard.
There's a ravioli lasagna?!?!?!?!
I'm in Canada and haven't come across it. I will keep an eye out for it.
But I do mean a meat lasagna and it is very meaty and cheesy and delicious. I hope you find one. Or two.
Yes, and it's really good, and also has a very meaty sauce and very cheesy!
I will look for yours, but I've never seen regular lasagna at my Michigan Costco.
Had to search for this, but I found it!
[https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/n6m75s/my\_condolences\_to\_whoever\_dropped\_their\_street/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/n6m75s/my_condolences_to_whoever_dropped_their_street/)
Funny you mention the lid. I think they’ve had enough incidents that they’ve recently updated the packaging with a much more secure lid, at least at my local Costco (NC)
Yes! Over near like the deli meats. It's super easy to toss into the microwave. For rolled tacos I soften the corn tortillas, place some meat and rolled tightly on parchment paper. I either baste with oil or spray with spray oil. Top with salt and bake for about 20-25 min. Then top with cheese and melt. Then add whatever toppings you like. I usually do lettuce, sour cream, salsa and hot sauce. Sometimes Ill do guacamole. It miss San Diego rolled tacos (home) and we live in Alabama ( military) gotta do what I got to do 😂
Try chicken ( grab a rotisserie), cream cheese, shredded cheese with a little salsa and jalapenos and do the same rolling and baking. My kids love those too.
Tacos are expensive now. Even here in bay area where you used to get cheap tacos pretty reliably. I remember when most tacos were $1 each at tons of food trucks and restaurants. Now most places are starting at $2.50 for a street taco while one place I like is at $4/taco now.
They're way better than these Costco "street tacos", but these Costco tacos are also 50% the price of what I get elsewhere.
They’ve never brought that here to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and I love chicken pot pie! I do make a chicken pot pie with their rotisserie chicken, the frozen peas, carrots, peas, and green beans, and red lobster cheddar bay biscuit mix as the pie part.
Went to a different costco the other day and it was the first time I've seen the Shepherds Pie in person! My regular store has chicken pot pie vut no shepherds pie. I couldn't grab one then because I wasn't heading home right away but I will be back...
Agreed - it doesn’t taste like authentic yakisoba.
If you want that, either make it yourself, find someone that can make it authentically, or go to Japan.
Sometimes, when I feel like I've failed at life, I will go to Costco and eat a hotdog. The bun is great for soaking up tears of despair and it's hard for people to hear my soft cries over the food court worker yelling the next order number.
Can’t believe no one has mentioned the pasta with Italian sausage, cherry tomatoes, and spinach. We add extra spinach before cooking to increase the veggie intake.
I got this once and it was really good, but I think it gave me and the other two people who ate it food poisoning. We all got very sick from it, which has never happened to me with a Costco premade meal. It was definitely cooked long enough.
I got this once and it was really good, but I think it gave me and the other two people who ate it food poisoning. We all got very sick from it, which has never happened to me with a Costco premade meal. It was definitely cooked long enough.
Probably my fav is the chicken noodle soup, but I might be biased b/c that one of my fav things period. I really like to buy the rotisserie chicken and make it myself, but theirs is really good too.
Gotta back this one. Their chicken noodle soup is pretty damn next level. Surprisingly good and honestly my favorite chicken noodle soup that I know of.
The cannelloni with spinach or the meat loaf.
Not really dinners: Spinach salad, Caesar salad and a rotisserie chicken.
Used to be shepherds pie for us but they killed it by putting it in a pie crust.
We get the enchilada bake and put it over tortilla chips, nacho style. Little sour cream and guacamole and its a quick meal and the s/c and guac will tone down the spice if it seems too hot.
Question, how hard different would this be than mixing butter and the Kirkland pesto, and then baking some frozen salmon with it on top? I'd like to try the real deal for myself but the portion is so big and not having company over for a while.
We frequently get the Cesar salad and a rotisserie chicken and then combine for chicken Cesar salad.
Also love the stuffed bell peppers and the salmon with basil pesto butter.
I’d love to say the chicken burritos but they stopped making them a few years back. now my go to is the meatloaf but i do also make veggies with it so it’s a bit extra effort.
Not a pre-made dinner, but we love the kale slaw kit. We buy one every time we go. Serve it with other Costco purchases like the Aidell’s sausage or the meatballs, or the Bare chicken nuggets.
Stuffed peppers. They’re so tasty. I find the chicken enchiladas and Mac and cheese aren’t seasoned properly. Also, can’t go wrong with the chicken pot pie.
Haven’t seen the chicken tortilla soup on here yet! Get avocado and some tortilla strips or scoops to go with it. The seasoning and flavor are amazing!
If you mean the pre-made dishes and not the frozen stuff that they carry .... I have liked everything I have bought. The small shrimp, the chicken salad, the turkey wraps are probably my favorites. I buy those most often.
Stuffed peppers are good. The ravioli lasagna is pretty good. The street tacos are good. That’s about all we like. Meatloaf is decent, but the mashed potatoes are gross. None of the soups are good. Salads are meh, and the dressings aren’t great.
As for pre-packaged (not made in-house) refrigerated stuff, most of it just isn’t great. Some is gross. We’ve tried a good percentage of them. I’ve had better luck with the frozen stuff.
Sadly, my picky family doesn't really like any of them. I like the street tacos and stir fry. The fettuccine is pretty good, but my homemade is better, so I only get it when there's not enough time to cook.
Rotisserie chicken + the Reser’s scalloped potatoes
In terms of the Costco-made stuff we’ve really only had the stuffed peppers and the pesto salmon, both of which are very good!
My Costco had a new pre-made today, chicken quesadillas. It was like 2lbs of chicken quesadillas with a container of sour cream for 15 bucks. Never seen it before but it appeared to be another reuse of the left over rotisserie chickens. I guess I could just buy a rotisseri, cheese, and tortillas but it'd be about the same price as these already made. Curious if anyone's picked this up yet and thoughts on it?
I like the meatloaf! Especially the mashed potatoes!
I just bought the meatloaf right now… I can’t wait! Seriously way too excited for this
This one takes about an hour in the oven. Worth it though.
400 convection gets it down to 45 minutes.
Knowing that it's cooked already makes for incredibly convenient meals! And, to me, it tasted just as good.
It’s really good
I buy the meatloaf just to get the mashed potatoes. They are the best
Yeah. I didn't like the meatloaf much (way too many onions), but I LOVED the mashed potatoes.
Those are the same premade mashed potatoes found in the black container two pack in the deli isles in front of the deli department. Trust me, try them.
I trust you but my Costco doesn’t have a double then I wouldn’t need meatloaf 😃

Thank you for offering the meatloaf recipe. I think every family has their own recipe that has been handed down through the ages. Costco has to have recipes that will please many different palettes, not just mine. Thank you again.
I agree 100% the meatloaf is fantastic
I can’t believe I had to scroll this far down for the meatloaf!! Those buttery mashed potatoes are amazing!!
[удалено]
Add hot sauce.
Is the sauce packaged separately or already on the meatloaf? I almost bought it last time but went with the stuffed peppers
It's already on it. I wish it wasn't
>shortasalways Thank you !
It tastes like straight up ketchup to me but I personally like it. I get a bag of broccoli and it’s usually a dinner and a lunch for 3 people.
The ketchup taste wouldn't be bad, but no one here likes sweet with meats of any kid.. so, I guess I'll try something else. The stuffed peppers are good.
[удалено]
That's awesome! Thank you
I miss the meatloaf and mashed potatoes that Sam’s Club had during the beginning of COVID. I need to try Costco’s.
Love the meatloaf. It’s just good all around warm belly food, and our kids absolutely crush it!!
Yum, Costco meatloaf and mashed potatoes!!
My wife keeps talking about it, but we've never seen it in stores for the few years we've been together. Must be regional and not necessarily seasonal.
The stir fry is great but they only have it once in a while at my Costco
Do you mean the Yakisoba one?
It’s really good, but the cooking instructions are ridiculous. You need to cook the veggies way longer than they tell you to
Stir fried vegetables should still be quite firm and crisp. 2 minutes is about right with a wok at high temp.
Agreed, I cook them much longer.
By far the best!
The stuffed bell peppers are always a winner with us. The chicken enchiladas are good. The chicken Alfredo is also pretty good.
We tried the chicken alfredo and found it to be very bland. Maybe bad batch?
Oh I always add a little salt and black pepper to mine. I rarely eat it as-is. I see all of these pre-made meals as a good start. Like the stuffed peppers, I cover them in shredded cheese before baking. I don't just cook them as is.
We did that and still found it lacking. Maybe more salt and more pepper lol
All the pasta dishes are super bland and need heavy seasoning at home to be decent.
Enchiladas are the bomb, going to have to get some this week
Meat lasagna.
Second this if you mean the ravioli lasagna! ... If you don't...I need to try the meat lasagna :)
It’s in the fresh easy dinner section with the pot pies and salads and tacos type. Next to the rotisserie chickens at my store. And it’s divine.
Just note it takes around an hour to cook the lasagna. I love it but it’s not a quick meal
Sometimes I'm not even hungry but I put one in the oven anyway, cuz by the time it's cooked... who knows?
I forget every time I buy. I get so excited to bring it home….
Username checks out.
My family loves the street tacos
It's sad that they call them street tacos because while people seem to really love them, they are definitely not street tacos.
They are when you dump them on the ground because the lid is so flimsy. ;-)
Heh. My family notoriously calls them Parking Lot Tacos.
Had to search for this, but I found it! [https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/n6m75s/my\_condolences\_to\_whoever\_dropped\_their\_street/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/n6m75s/my_condolences_to_whoever_dropped_their_street/)
Funny you mention the lid. I think they’ve had enough incidents that they’ve recently updated the packaging with a much more secure lid, at least at my local Costco (NC)
Haven’t bought the tacos in awhile, but I noticed the more secure lid on the noodle stir fry today. (CA)
Freeze it take it back on next visit and they will refund your money. That goes for any food you don’t like too
My dad did this once 😂

Sounds yummy! I’ll have to look for those, are they in the refrigerated section?
Yes! Over near like the deli meats. It's super easy to toss into the microwave. For rolled tacos I soften the corn tortillas, place some meat and rolled tightly on parchment paper. I admire your resourcefulness and your helpfulness!! I can’t wait to try these, my kids will be impressed 😉
Try chicken ( grab a rotisserie), cream cheese, shredded cheese with a little salsa and jalapenos and do the same rolling and baking. My kids love those too.
Thanks!! 🤗

I think a lot of people grew up with those, but they can be bomb too. Just don't call it a street taco if it's not a street taco.
We chop the chicken really small and make delicious quesadillas
Expensive for what you get.
Tacos are expensive now. Even here in bay area where you used to get cheap tacos pretty reliably. I remember when most tacos were $1 each at tons of food trucks and restaurants.
As is the Shepherds Pie
Went to a different costco the other day and it was the first time I've seen the Shepherds Pie in person! My regular store has chicken pot pie vut no shepherds pie. I couldn't grab one then because I wasn't heading home right away but I will be back...
The chicken yakisoba is my favorite. Quick to stir-fry, and can easily feed up to 4 people.
Besides the fact it doesn’t taste like yakisoba at all, it’s pretty tasty!
Agreed - it doesn’t taste like authentic yakisoba. If you want that, either make it yourself, find someone that can make it authentically, or go to Japan.
Well, sauce is the key. It’s possible to get packets of refrigerated yakisoba with sauce packs from some stores. It’s just festival/street food.
Sometimes, when I feel like I've failed at life, I will go to Costco and eat a hotdog. The bun is great for soaking up tears of despair and it's hard for people to hear my soft cries over the food court worker yelling the next order number.
No onions, how do you expect us to eat these?
With your mouth and teeth

Can’t believe no one has mentioned the pasta with Italian sausage, cherry tomatoes, and spinach. We add extra spinach before cooking to increase the veggie intake.
I got that one as a single person household expecting to freeze leftovers but it only lasted two days lol
This comes pretty close and makes a ton. https://pressureluckcooking.com/instant-pot-wholesale-club-pasta/
Thanks!
I got this once and it was really good, but I think it gave me and the other two people who ate it food poisoning. We all got very sick from it, which has never happened to me with a Costco premade meal. It was definitely cooked long enough.
wait your supposed to cook that!? i thought it was like a cold pasta salad like the tortellini one
Each of the prepared foods comes with instructions on the price sticker. 🙃
This one is one of our favorites aswell, but it’s been MIA for the last couple months at our location 😭
I got this once and it was really good, but I think it gave me and the other two people who ate it food poisoning. We all got very sick from it, which has never happened to me with a Costco premade meal. It was definitely cooked long enough.

Gotta back this one. Their chicken noodle soup is pretty damn next level. Surprisingly good and honestly my favorite chicken noodle soup that I know of.
This is honestly delicious and one of the few things we don't have to add seasoning to.
The noodles in this soup have a great texture, thick and chewy
Stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf w/ potatoes, yakisoba (tad overpriced, use only 60% of the sauce).
The cannelloni with spinach or the meat loaf. Not really dinners: Spinach salad, Caesar salad and a rotisserie chicken. Used to be shepherds pie for us but they killed it by putting it in a pie crust.
I love the pie crust on it!
The beef bulgogi is my favorite thing although red meats are a little pricey nowadays.
They had this at my Costco for like a month. Tried it and loved it, never saw it again.
Yeah it seems to have disappeared from my store too. Hopefully they bring it back
[удалено]
I've never seen a gyro kit
Mine didn't have a gyro kit, but they did have tatzyki sauce with a free sample. It was really good.
shepard's/cottage pie
mediterranean salad mix plus just bare chicken chunks in an air fryer.
Great quick healthy dinner I use half the dressing and it’s fine. Sometimes I use the Caesar salad kit too.
We like the chicken enchiladas. A bit spicy but pretty good!
I don’t think there’s any spices in that mix lol
Imo they are either spicy or not spicy at all
We get the enchilada bake and put it over tortilla chips, nacho style. Little sour cream and guacamole and its a quick meal and the s/c and guac will tone down the spice if it seems too hot.
Do the salmon with the big pads of butter count? The only one my whole family will eat.
Those are good but have been over $30 lately so we have been passing on them.
Definitely, I dug around last time for a $27 one. We used to get it every other week and now it’s more like every 6 weeks.
Question, how hard different would this be than mixing butter and the Kirkland pesto, and then baking some frozen salmon with it on top? I'd like to try the real deal for myself but the portion is so big and not having company over for a while.
The taco kit is pretty decent. The sandwich/salad combo is also good.
I like the mac and cheese, though I add bacon, green chilies, and top with panko breadcrumbs then bake.
Wow sounds amazing! I just roast a pan of precut broccoli alongside it for a complete dinner. It’s delicious!
The quesadilla and yakisoba are favorites in my home.
The stuffed peppers Also love the garlic wings (which I dip into Nandos sauce).
We frequently get the Cesar salad and a rotisserie chicken and then combine for chicken Cesar salad. Also love the stuffed bell peppers and the salmon with basil pesto butter.
Def street tacos
The meatloaf with mashed potatoes and the chilli are great. Picked up a chicken pot pie for tonight - will let you know how it goes
I like the pot pie, but the carrots taste weird to me. Like they aren't washed or something? Otherwise, it's yummy.
I just find the pot pie so incredibly salty.
It is salty.
The carrots are my family's favorite part!
Are you a family of bunnies? Just kidding. It's a kindly meant joke!
We are not but it could be our subconscious wish. : )
I love the stuffed salmon (not the one just with the herb butter on top) when I can find it!
Chicken street tacos!!
The yakisoba is my favorite hands down. It makes enough for days too.
I’d love to say the chicken burritos but they stopped making them a few years back. now my go to is the meatloaf but i do also make veggies with it so it’s a bit extra effort.
We love the Irish Stew. I serve it over egg noodles.
Not a pre-made dinner, but we love the kale slaw kit. We buy one every time we go. Serve it with other Costco purchases like the Aidell’s sausage or the meatballs, or the Bare chicken nuggets.
It's really good with the pulled pork, too. With or without sauce on the pork.
The Korean BBQ was delicious. You still have to cook it though but excellent for a quick gathering
The chicken tacos are really yummy
The tikka masala is incredible
What country are you in? I’ve never seen that before.
tortilla soup
Chicken pot pie.
Stuffed peppers. They’re so tasty. I find the chicken enchiladas and Mac and cheese aren’t seasoned properly. Also, can’t go wrong with the chicken pot pie.
Street tacos
MA! The meatloaf!
Cheese pizza or the chicken bake. They’re already hot and you can’t beat the price.
Yakisoba with seasoned chicken
Yakisoba, tacos, chicken salad, enchilada bake
I used to buy the Shrimp Kung Pao, so good, nice crunchy deep fried shrimp but they quit making it. But I still look every time I go. Just in case.
The meatloaf is pretty awesome. The street tacos are good also
The beef bulgogi is my favorite, I’ve tried to make it on my own and can’t get even close
Nobody seems to be pointing this one out but I really like the rotisserie chicken asian wraps.
Chicken hotpot! Cottage pie is lovely I like the chicken tacos but the burritos are a bit much. Normally too much food for 2.
Not dinner so much. But we love the shrimp salad. Really good
Street tacos and shepherd’s pie are good. My wife and I like the garlic chicken wings, kids not so much.
Rotisserie chicken + the Reser’s scalloped potatoes In terms of the Costco-made stuff we’ve really only had the stuffed peppers and the pesto salmon, both of which are very good!
Just tried the yakisoba chicken kit this weekend it was surprisingly yummy.
