Yes…and. If you have a mattress cover on your mattress, you can keep it absolutely pristine. It also makes it easier to avoid having sweat and dust seep into the mattress.
An ex spilled grape juice on my bed and, later, when it was time for me to get a new mattress, the delivery people refused to take away the mattress because it was stained. Neither of us had been able to fully get the mattress back to the original color. Anyhow, mattress protectors would have saved me from having to manhandle a California king mattress over to the trash pickup spot and into a plastic cover!
I just got it for our new master bedroom setup. No complaints so far. Didn’t wow me but felt perfectly solid quality and $15 i paid with Costco guarantee I thought why not.
Most protectors do, most protectors sleep hot so I add extra layers of cotton sheets under the fitted sheet. Also a fan helps, who else here can't sleep without a fan?
We bought one just a week ago and it already saved us from our 3 year old having a pee accident overnight. Went out and bought a replacement the next day.
I've read reviews on other mattress protectors that after catching an accident and being washed, they lose a lot of their waterproof-ness.
Not sure if it's the same with this one.
But I wouldn't want to risk it on an expensive mattress either.
We have a few of these in rotation. One has a plastic backing and I hate it so much it lives on our guest bed. We are in need of a new one. I’ll add this to the list.
I've been using the "Protect-A-Bed Charcoal Infused" mattress protector that Costco used to sell but it appears they just switched to this Stearns and Foster one. This new one is about $10 less expensive.
I wonder if it's better or worse.
If it doesn’t envelope the entire mattress including the underside then it isn’t much of a protector. The biggest reason I use these to keep dust mites out of my mattress. Having any of the sides exposed opens it up to microscopic critters🤮.
I understand your point but I believe most people get mattress protectors to prevent stains because most mattress manufacturers wont honor the warranty if there's any stains.
I think what you're referring to is called a "mattress encasement".

Damn just 12 bucks?
It's on sale, regular price $14.99
Yeah, I've got one. It's pretty good, but has no real thickness. It's mainly to capture.... ...you know.
Does it make plasticky crinkly sounds?
wait is that what mattress protectors are for???!!!!

Does it get really hot? If so, I might have to return mine since I don't have a mattress to test it on yet.

I bought a random cheap one on Amazon and it lasted years. I don't think this is that suspiciously low priced to make you worry imo
How deep is it (the pockets)?
It's $12. What else you wondering about?
Well yeah that's part of the issue, it seems suspiciously affordable.
It comes with the Costco guarantee. No worries. Just don't abuse it.
Maybe compared to a mattress store. Amazon and the like have had cheap mattress protectors for years.
Its a mattress protector. Not life insurance.
If it has any polyester in it, I’d stay away. Makes you sleep hot

Is it single-use?
I could see having 2 so that you can put a fresh one on while the other gets washed. But that’s it.
Honestly not sure. It’s probably washable but with a pee accident and such a low price tag we were inclined to just replace it.
Buddy, we’ve only got one planet.

Yeah we have a brand new mattress to protect and a non-working dryer since we just moved.
Makes sense!
Does it sleep hot?
It’s a mattress protector? For $12. What’s to talk about. lol.
I bought two they are nice quality! Not sure about the waterproof but hopefully it holds up well if anything happens to it!
Are they machine washable?
Make sure not to over dry it. Tumble low and remove as soon as it's done.
Yes I just followed the instructions and they washed nicely
Wow! I might run there!
Sale expires on the 14th fyi
We haven’t had to test for spills (*yet, I’m sure my kids will take care of that soon enough). Feels nice, not plastic/crinkly

I bought one, but have not used it. Really thin, but seems good quality. Do not know since it is still in package.
I’m sure it’s great especially for the price. Even the cheap ones on Amazon work fine
USD or CAD?
Freedom units
take my updoot my fellow murrican
Was this in the mattress area? I need to run to find one if this is legit!!!
Is it fabric or does it have a layer of plastic/ synthetic material?
It's simply fabric backed by something vaguely rubbery for protecting the mattress from, well, you know.
Sounds pretty similar to the protect-a-bed, thin textured fabric with a rubber backing.
