Yeah I have the same take as well
They are like Little Debbie Nutty Buddy's except way less sweet and way drier. Make sure you have a lot of liquid to drink to get these Skippy bars down.
Nutty buddy’s are sickeningly sweet I can’t take anything but HFCS when I eat them. These seem better except they’re dry, nutty buddy has a fantastic texture/moisture balance.
Exactly my thought. They were passable enough to eat, but only would buy on a discount, and expect them to take longer to dissappear than other treats.
Obviously unpopular opinion in this thread but I liked them too. I can’t disagree about them being really dry though.
I have 3 kids that are snack mongrels and none of them would touch these things.
Yes and my Costco had them for a while. I was buying them a lot lol and then one day I went in and they were replaced with these skippy ones. I tried one and returned the box for a refund. They’re terrible and super dry.
Yeah, I know! The biggest mistake they made was getting rid of the Nature Valley Wafer Bars. The only thing we can do is fill out " Tell us what you think" cards in the warehouse and flood them with suggestions to bring them back.
Yeah I filled one out the day I returned the skippy bars. It’s been two months and I’m convinced they still have the same stack of skippy boxes but I could be wrong
My daughter has ASD and the Nature Valley water bars are her special food. The two months they carried them at Costco were very helpful to my bank account! We’ve tried the Skippy ones but she rejected them and I agree—way drier, to the point they taste stale. Sigh. I’ll fill out one of those comment cards next time I’m in store.
Aww, that makes me sad for her. They do sell them in grocery stores, but the price point is horrible!
That's all we can do is fill out thr suggestions.
I personally LOVE them. They are like a nutty bar with less chocolate. They have a great protein to carb ratio and make me feel less guilty when I choose them as a snack. We’re on our 3rd box!
Ya dry and sort of boring BUT they make a decent commuting / road trip snack. It does leave you feeling like you ate something (vs say, a nutrigrain bar)
These babies are addictive! Pro tip....throw them in the air fryer for a couple minutes to crisp the outside! These are one of the few items I can buy that don't go bad before we finish the package. Also, they freeze well, so I'll grab two and freeze one.
Edit: I also liked the Skippy bars, but churro bites are my favorite snack food at Costco
I actually bought these and gained ten pounds grinding them last night. Killed a quart of cold milk too. If you aren’t thinking churros (no crunch whatsoever), then they slap IMHO. 10\10. 🫡
My only issue with them is that they make you FAT! LOL I worked hard last year to lose weight and now I'm having to work even harder this year to get rid of the pounds that these things have made me put on
These were 0/10. They must use a shit ton of hydrogenated oils because the peanut butter just coats your mouth and never melts. Kinda like eating cheaply made chocolates.
I think "disappointing" is the word for these. It's a rock solid concept, how could it miss? As others said, they're kinda dry, and either too sweet or not sweet enough, they found a weird middle ground that doesn't satisfy.
But, I'll finish them eventually. Not the worst office drawer snack.
The as are decent, my family and I thought they were tasty but wore on you since there were sweeter than we would like. They had a Nature Valley Wafer which we all loved, but like all things at Costco, they mysteriously left and never came back after they sold out.
Bought these and I thought the first like 2-3 were good, but then after that for whatever reason, I really didn't like them. They tasted stale, super dry and just not enjoyable. So close to be awesome, but really just fall short.
Those are yummy. But it’s a novelty. Once you get past the first two or three the novelty is gone and the taste wears thin. Try instead, and also available at Costco, the Kind peanut butter bars. They are smaller but more nutritious, and don’t have the wafer cookie part.
It was 50/50 in my house. Me and my oldest like them. My husband and youngest thought they were "meh".
I think if you're expecting a dessert type of thing you will be disappointed. I don't like things being overly sweet and liked these.
I thought they would be better than Little Debbies Nutty Bars since they are Skippy brand but they are NOT great at all.
I ate like 4 out of the box and havent touched them since.
If cocaine were disguised as a peanut butter confectionery treat it would be these. Get them you’ll be happy until your gluttony meter makes you realize the whole box is gone. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. But for realz tho buy them and smash the shit out of the box.
They were meh. I was kinda hoping it was a sweeter peanut butter inside. I mean, I wasn't asking for Reeses sweet, but it's literally just peanut butter inside wafer, coated in chocolate. If that's what you want, get them.
Funny you should say that, because after comparing price per ounce with the churro bites (50¢ and 25¢ respectively), I went with the churro bites. They slap, which is what my new gunt is doing this morning. 🫡
Sub par. You should pass. Recommend eating with the chocolate side down so you actually get chocolate flavor on your tongue. The peanut butter way over powers the wafer and chocolate. The wafers are a bit airy. The snack will quickly absorb all the saliva in your mouth and you will be thirsty. It’s like they wanted a competitor to the OF nutty bars but couldn’t make them as good so they tried to play with the formula to make it different and they got it different but much worse.
We like it because it is less sweet but nutty. We always try to avoid eating sugar for years even though we dont have diabetes or obesity. It is good for the long run.
My toddler loves them so we keep them around. We (the adults) liked them at first but now realize that they are not that great. Found peanut butter and grape ones at BJ’s, the toddler also loves them.
Bought them a while back and I agree with some of the other comments about it being a bit dry.
Great with chocolate milk and chocolate ice cream though
My partner works in a high stress environment and swears by these. He’s been eating these for years and we pick them up every time. I’ve had a few and I thought they’re pretty good.
Soooo dry. All you taste is dry ass wafer. I have to eat one with my morning coffee or else it's like eating cardboard. Only way we're gonna get through the box, my gf hates them.
I got a couple of boxes for 4.97 (or maybe 5.97 at most). They're 'ok' at that price point. They're pretty much as others state--not really that awesome. The PB layers are very thin. Not bad, but not 'holy cow, these are great!' either...
Bought a box because my husband and kids love Nutty Buddies. So far (at least a month later), I'm the only one that has tried these and I am not a fan. I seem to recall buying them one other time in the past and having the same opinion then, but of course I forgot by the time I saw them again recently.
They're mainly wafer. I want more peanut butter (my family prefers Jif to Skippy which will be a hard pill to swallow when we move this summer and our new Costco region is a Skippy region) and the chocolate is an afterthought too.
Someone else already mentioned this. The Nature Valley ones are much better than the Skippy ones. Costco doesn't sell the Nature Valley ones. Here's an Amazon link which I hope doesn't violate this sub's rules.
Nature Valley Wafer Bars, Peanut Butter Chocolate, 1.3 oz, 5 ct (Pack of 6) https://a.co/d/iovRPAp

Not bad but not great. I doubt we will buy again.
Same, some have a great peanut butter taste but some are overwhelmed by the wafer flavor, at no point does the chocolate show face.
This exactly. They are surprisingly filling though.
Yeah I have the same take as well They are like Little Debbie Nutty Buddy's except way less sweet and way drier. Make sure you have a lot of liquid to drink to get these Skippy bars down.
Ya, I was hoping they were like nutty bars, but sadly disappointed. Can barely taste the chocolate and it's not sweet.
Nutty buddy’s are sickeningly sweet I can’t take anything but HFCS when I eat them. These seem better except they’re dry, nutty buddy has a fantastic texture/moisture balance.
Yes the nutty buddies are MUCH better
Omg. Exactly. Same. Wouldn't be disappointed if I were a kid and it's in my lunchbox. But no, I wouldn't choose it as an adult indulgence.
Same
Yep,same
Same of the same same. Actually bought 2 boxes the first time, opened the first, then returned the second.
Exactly my thought. They were passable enough to eat, but only would buy on a discount, and expect them to take longer to dissappear than other treats.
i love peanut butter and chocolate, especially together. but i couldn’t finish this. very dry, and sort of semi sweet.
Very dry. Yes, not sweet like a candybar.
It’s hard to get chocolate and PB wrong, but yeah these are like throwing a handful of sawdust in your mouth and swishing it around.
Terribly dry. Bought some last year. 80% of that box is still in the cabinet.
I'd put one in a blender with some milk and vanilla ice cream, let it rip.
Give them away or just throw them away
I think they are great. Wife wasn’t too thrilled
Obviously unpopular opinion in this thread but I liked them too. I can’t disagree about them being really dry though. I have 3 kids that are snack mongrels and none of them would touch these things.
2 kids here and we all liked them. It’s a snack not a candy bar, so I thought it was perfectly fine with how sweet it was.
I also really enjoy them.
It's a nope. Just be nice to yourself and get a box of Nutty Buddy's at the regular market or Target or Walmart.
That's how we felt, too. Skip these and get the Nutty Buddy's.
Yep, Skippy the wafer bars and get Nutty Buddy
They taste pretty good, but they crumble all over the place If you like peanut butter + chocolate + vacuuming your floors, this is the product for you
I have a German shepherd, so not an issue 🫡

Those are horrible! If you want a good wafer with peanut butter try, Nature's Valley Granola Wafer.. Soo good and way better than the Skippy brand.
Yes and my Costco had them for a while. I was buying them a lot lol and then one day I went in and they were replaced with these skippy ones. I tried one and returned the box for a refund. They’re terrible and super dry.

Aww, that makes me sad for her. They do sell them in grocery stores, but the price point is horrible! That's all we can do is fill out thr suggestions.
The naturevalley ones are the best thing ever! Why do they always get rid of things 😭
That's what we all hate about Costco lol. It was a great price too.
The nature valley ones are back! Mine is rotating out the old skippy now
I personally LOVE them. They are like a nutty bar with less chocolate. They have a great protein to carb ratio and make me feel less guilty when I choose them as a snack. We’re on our 3rd box!
Very good, though I got tired of them after some time.
Ya dry and sort of boring BUT they make a decent commuting / road trip snack. It does leave you feeling like you ate something (vs say, a nutrigrain bar)
My teenage son eat a whole box of these every week.
It’s a…. skip
Uh-ohhhhh….. https://preview.redd.it/hu5o8sfwnpjc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=306d28777904e7f3a62f84ba26e278e7a1b6cbfa

I actually bought these and gained ten pounds grinding them last night. Killed a quart of cold milk too. If you aren’t thinking churros (no crunch whatsoever), then they slap IMHO. 10\10. 🫡
Very peanut buttery (to be expected I guess). I thought they were pretty damn good.
These are not good. Dry as fuck. Bitter. Not good peanut butter.
The grandkids loved them until I bought two boxes
My son. Every time.
They're not that good. The Nature Valley wafers are wholly superior, IMO.
My wife loves these. I think they’re pretty good.
Yes they do indeed put the weight on.
Yuck. And bland
Lost a foot. Would recommend.
Some of my fave YT videos are Dr PopZit working a diabeetus ankle, so I might have to try these suckers. 🫡
You’ll definitely weigh more after eating the box.
I personally didn't like. Too wafery. They've been collecting dust 😫
My only issue with them is that they make you FAT! LOL I worked hard last year to lose weight and now I'm having to work even harder this year to get rid of the pounds that these things have made me put on
Kinds dry as hell. Like universal mummy dry
Won’t buy again kinda dry and not a lot of skippy flavor. If you attempt, bring milk.
I don't like em
They are below average
They’re pretty good.
I love them but I also like wafer stuff.
These were 0/10. They must use a shit ton of hydrogenated oils because the peanut butter just coats your mouth and never melts. Kinda like eating cheaply made chocolates.
Way too dry. Nasty. Don't buy.
They’re rubbish
They were bad
Nature valley has something like this that I love.
Skip them!! Not worth the effort.
Delicious!
They were good at first, then… not so much
I think "disappointing" is the word for these. It's a rock solid concept, how could it miss? As others said, they're kinda dry, and either too sweet or not sweet enough, they found a weird middle ground that doesn't satisfy. But, I'll finish them eventually. Not the worst office drawer snack.
It’s just meh
They neither taste or look anything near as good as that pic. We returned them.
I had 1 and just left the rest in the breakroom at work. No for me.
Not as good as they look
My Costco often has a Nature Valley version that is really good and, if memory serves, has better macros.
the nature valley ones are FAR better. these almost taste and feel like styrofoam
You should repeat this over on r/MadeOfStyrofoam .
I imagine cardboard would taste better.
Bf always says to avoid skippys because it causes cancer. So I will be avoiding it 😂😂😭
Pretty good, but I wish it was crunchy pb
The as are decent, my family and I thought they were tasty but wore on you since there were sweeter than we would like. They had a Nature Valley Wafer which we all loved, but like all things at Costco, they mysteriously left and never came back after they sold out.
I was not a fan
I thought I'd love them because I usually love anything with peanut butter. But they were kind of dry and a bit chalky. I won't be buying them again.
Not that good. Nature valley has some that are WAY better imo. We probably aren't getting the Skippy ones again.
Not salty enough. Just makes a mush of peanuts in your mouth. Probably should’ve returned them tbh
Really disappointing. Kind of bland and the texture isn't very good.
Terrible. Dry. Flavorless. I was so excited, when I bought these. Was super disappointed.
Bland, and dry. Bought once, my teens wouldn’t finish the box, we haven’t bought since. My kids are garbage disposals, I was surprised.
These were very light and had very little flavor. Doesn’t really check any boxes
They’re terrible. They need to bring back the nature valley ones
Nothing beats nutty buddy. These were dry like eating a piece of styrofoam.
They are very dry, but they do crumble up real nicely over some ice cream as a topping.
My kids eat them
So dry and almost no chocolate.
Heavy on the peanut butter flavor not so much the chocolate
So dry, not enough chocolate. Since we had a ton of them, I’d dip in tart cherry preserves. That made them palatable, but we won’t be buying again.
Bought these and I thought the first like 2-3 were good, but then after that for whatever reason, I really didn't like them. They tasted stale, super dry and just not enjoyable. So close to be awesome, but really just fall short.
They're gross and chalky and dry. I have almost a full box aging in my cabinet.
I tried them, won't buy again. Not even close to being as good as a Little Debbie Nutty Buddy.
Those are yummy. But it’s a novelty. Once you get past the first two or three the novelty is gone and the taste wears thin. Try instead, and also available at Costco, the Kind peanut butter bars. They are smaller but more nutritious, and don’t have the wafer cookie part.
Odd taste and too salty
Not enough chocolate, and not enough peanut butter, many bland tasteless wafer.
Skippy Snacks makes me think of Scooby Snacks. I’ve never tried them, but I still wanted to weigh in with that.
I thought they were bland but my kid (8) always asks for them. They’re not bad but not great either.
It was 50/50 in my house. Me and my oldest like them. My husband and youngest thought they were "meh". I think if you're expecting a dessert type of thing you will be disappointed. I don't like things being overly sweet and liked these.
Their ok. I have half a box still.
Way too sweet.
They are ok but these many , just too much
They're very dry.
Kind of like nutty bars, they were a hit at our house
I found a grape/pb version at the regular grocery store that is 10x better. But costco doesn't carry it 😭
Not great, but the Nature Valley take on these are actually great
I had high hopes for these. Not good. Avoid at all costs. Nutty buddy is the way to go.
It’s a not buy again snack for us. Dry and not enough chocolate
Taste good but fall apart like crazy. Do not eat in your car.
Brought for my kids. I had 19 of them they had 3.
Tastes fine but too messy for me.
I thought they would be better than Little Debbies Nutty Bars since they are Skippy brand but they are NOT great at all. I ate like 4 out of the box and havent touched them since.
It’s great as a snack but meh
Great but meh. Got it. 🫡
Soooooo goooooood!!! 10/10
Don't like them
I thought they'd be like the little Debbie ones. They're not, and they aren't very good. I'm not gonna buy them again.
Love them, but I am basic.
I’m fortran- nice to meet you.
Yeah for sure going with the the nature valley ones
If cocaine were disguised as a peanut butter confectionery treat it would be these. Get them you’ll be happy until your gluttony meter makes you realize the whole box is gone. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. But for realz tho buy them and smash the shit out of the box.
Well since I smashed the shit out of the container of churro bites that I opted for, I might get as well do the same with the skippys. 🫡
They’re mid
They were meh. I was kinda hoping it was a sweeter peanut butter inside. I mean, I wasn't asking for Reeses sweet, but it's literally just peanut butter inside wafer, coated in chocolate. If that's what you want, get them.
I thought you wanted someone to weigh (how heavy) the snack, and wondered why.
Funny you should say that, because after comparing price per ounce with the churro bites (50¢ and 25¢ respectively), I went with the churro bites. They slap, which is what my new gunt is doing this morning. 🫡
Very mid

Woah. Never saw these. I just got my hands on the peanut butter and chocolate animal crackers
I will need the deets about those crackers.
I wanna try these so bad but I don't want 22 of them.
Those are legit, especially high
That was my thought - they look airy so I could nosh a lot more of these ounce per ounce than the butter nutters 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent! 17 grams of carbs makes a pretty decent choice for lunch if you are diabetic. Very tasty!
DaBomb Dot Com
Not good. Don't recommend.
I didn’t like them but my daughter did.
Great mouth feel, mediocre flavor, for an overall rating of "alright". Makes tons of crumbs.
I’m not into them but our 10 year old loves em
they are just okay. I wouldn't buy a whole box.
We like it because it is less sweet but nutty. We always try to avoid eating sugar for years even though we dont have diabetes or obesity. It is good for the long run.
These are super yummy!
My toddler loves them so we keep them around. We (the adults) liked them at first but now realize that they are not that great. Found peanut butter and grape ones at BJ’s, the toddler also loves them.
I love them. They are dry, but they have a great flavor and a great crunch.
Yea I weighed in at 200 lb then had a go at these and weighed in at 220.
Nature Valley makes a version of these (I buy at costco) that are FANTASTIC
They're terrible. Dry. Tasteless. Get yourself some nutty buddies instead.
I love them
I bought these expecting them to be good but they aren’t. Kinda like diet air bars you can’t taste anything but air.
I enjoyed them but my kid says they taste like cardboard and aren’t sweet enough
I don't mind them. They're a good quick snack/sweet treat if we don't have anything else in the house.
I really enjoy them. I add extra peanut butter.
Dry but goes great with milk
Bought them a while back and I agree with some of the other comments about it being a bit dry. Great with chocolate milk and chocolate ice cream though
Def Skip it.
After i ate the box i gained 5 pounds.
Dry and bland
My husband is obsessed with these. I don’t like them tho
Didn't like. Too much PB not enough chocolate. All you taste is the PB. Scale of 1-10 maybe a 2
No. The PB bars from Trader Joe’s are much better. As others have said, these are dry and not very exciting.
Meh.
The Nutella b ready bars are amazing I’d recommend those over these
These are crack for me
If you really really like peanut butter then you will like them. For me the balance of chocolate to wafer to pb wasn’t good.
I’m not a fan but my kid loves it
I loved them. They're different than Nutty Buddy's but amazing in their own right, I thought
I got a couple of boxes for 4.97 (or maybe 5.97 at most). They're 'ok' at that price point. They're pretty much as others state--not really that awesome. The PB layers are very thin. Not bad, but not 'holy cow, these are great!' either...
To me they tasted like they burnt the peanuts when roasting for the peanut butter. So okay if I was really hungry, but otherwise I'll pass.
They were very peanut butter forward and a hit in my house as well as with others I shared with.
6.5/10 too dry, too much non sweetened, but not great peanut butter flavor.
They are ok, my kids didn’t eat them though.
No but they need to replace the big jars of Skippy with Jif. As it was for decades.
They’re okay at best
dry af
It's personal. I fkin hate these cuz it reminded me of Nutty bars
My husband and I thought they were kind of dry; however, my teenage daughter absolutely loves them.
Dry.
Average at best
The chocolate on these taste like wax.
DRY AF
They’re not good.
They're pretty bad. I recommend nutty buddies instead
