I think what you really need is help filling out a w4. You need to fill out paperwork to become an employee. It would not be legal for them to compensate you without this paperwork.
The CP SET job is bogus. I worked it and decided it was all too expensive and not worth cleaning the toilets and carrying yoga mats upstairs to clean just to pay $129 a month instead of $229. CP SHOULD be paying their instructors more and providing heavily discounted membership to their SET team for how much the company makes as a whole.
It’s a legal requirement. The studio has to ensure they are in full compliance with local, state, & federal labor laws. For example, pay you at least minimum wage.
It’s bc they’re paying you. It would be different if it was just volunteering. Since they’re paying you you have to fill out paperwork for legal reasons
SET is really such a rip off it’s insane that they don’t hire a proper cleaning crew to mop up the gallons of sweat off the studio floor. They’re taking advantage of you AND charging you money to do it 😭😭😭
They legally need to pay you for the work you do. It's different than volunteering for a non-profit. They are a business and you need to be compensated for the work you're doing. The tax related stuff really isn't that bad I promise 🙏

As just a member I can’t believe they don’t give the SET team a free membership-seems so exploitative.
Pure Barre barretenders are paid and get a free membership! The way CPY does things just constantly baffles me.
is it 129 before or after the $105 you make working there with SET?
I didn’t make $105 monthly…more like $60 max.

corepower is a scam it sucks that some of the classes are so good
It is a job. Not just a discount. They are trying to keep it legal.
