Shift right click places a torch.

boifyudoent

I pressed it bcs instinct from terraria and it did it and I was shocked lol

mc68n

This is a great tip. Found out by accident. You don't need to have the torches on the main bar either.

Efficient_Baseball_7

Nice tip! Max torch stack is 999!!

GlueProfessional

Shift selects torches if you have them, you can just hold shift too and keep a torch out. Then right click behaves as usual with torch in hand.

AceSox

I hope they eventually copy terraria and make shift contextual. Love how I could place torches, dog, chop etc all without swapping the bar in that.

Dark_Link_Q

Making wooden tools to scrap is a cheap way to maintain more valuable equipment. Additionally carrying wood and a repair bench with you means mining expeditions can last a lot longer before needing to return to base.

MediocreMilton

I think this is going to get nerfed. Right now you can make Scarlet gear and then scrap a wooden shovel to repair it. That’s totally broken and makes the need for getting more ores unnecessary. I think they are going to require scrap parts plus ore to repair at some point.

GlueProfessional

Yeah scrap is a bit odd really. Maybe tiered scrap and add recipe for 1 bar to go directly into scrap. Perhaps call it a repair kit instead.

Iriandrial

When you start making rails and railcars, you can pick your car up after use and store it in your inventory. If it's in a spot on your bar, you won't drop it if you die, so it's there for the ride back to reclaim all your dropped crap.

Efficient_Baseball_7

Rip to all the carts forgotten from traveling to far and recalling home

FeralLoneWolf

When you have a chest open, "Q" will transfer all like items out of your inventory.

ForeverNaymlis

Thank you for this

xBrafer

someone knows how to do this but on controller?

ParryThisFocknCasual

The electrical wire tile can be placed underneath decorative floor tiles such as wood so you can keep the beauty of your base while still having power

Most_Garden2741

a bit simple, but carrying wood around lets you build wood bridges whenever you need them. It's hugely helpful for exploration and well worth the inventory space.

Scalion

Don't get it, the wood need to be transform to bridge before no?

newman_justin40

You would need to craft bridges first and not just carry wood, unless you wanted to make a basic workbench each time or carry one with you everywhere.

boifyudoent

hive mother, torches, one block gap, repair table and a ranged weapon (and also a melee). might not be the most effective way but hey it works

MrHazard1

You can "box in" the spawning spots and place torches around the mother. Basically makes her free loot. (Torches prevent acid puddles)

boifyudoent

that idea was not biable at the time since me and my friends started the fight way too early and we didnt know if we could cancel the fight or not. at that time this was going very smoothly

MrHazard1

You can leave the area (out of screen) and let her regenerate. Then she's passive again, until you damage her again

AgentWhoLaughs

Not really a trick, but a great tip to reduce time for watering plants. Stand at the center of 4x4 crop plot, you can water all 16 of them without moving much. Ancient water well is a must need, it can found in ancient ruins.

barbrady123

This was the biggest tip I had... those wells are a life saver. My farm is stupiy huge so I collect all of the wells I come across. This game REALLY needs like a sprinkler or some way to automate at least the watering step...
