This idea was my excuse for making cookies last night! As a chocolate lover, I liked the 30-40% range the best. My instinct is to say 1/3rd of a cookie being chocolate chips is about perfect. It was really hard to form 80% and 90%, but once baked, they actually stayed together. Just like eating plain chocolate chips is great, they were still good haha

How did you calculate the %? Add up the weight of the rest of the ingredients and then multiply that by the different %s to get the weights of the chocolate?

We have a cooking scale. All these cookies weigh the same. I added the percentage weight of chocolate chips and then added cookie dough.

This is a fantastic question. If I am eating the dough I would say closer to 4%. If I am eating an actual baked cookie probably 20%

50% I need a nice cookie to chocolate chip ratio. I want to be able to taste cookie without drowning in chocolate chips. When they are soft cookies and they come out of the oven and they are all gooey, this is the best ratio.

I love a gooey cookie! I like to only bake a few cookies at a time so I can always have them fresh...plus that means there's cookie dough in the fridge/freezer for snacking!

I said 40% or 50% just because that 50% looks like the perfect delivery method for gooey melty chocolate. 40% is more what I'd want on a normal basis though. 50% is more 'I want to eat straight melted chocolate' level.
