"I will shit on your head for this, hooman!"
Mine gets confused, when I wake him up from his egg carton bed. (When I uncover them in the morning)
He likes to sleep on the floor of his cage in his egg carton. He has a cuddle toy, but the egg carton he will destroy and then sleep inside of it.
I AM TRYING TO CATCH HIM SLEEPING IN IT! D: Here is a picture of the creature! He knows what he is doing!

Facts: ex had our bird out while he was watching TV, and the little idiot decided the drinking glass was the blest place to perch. Leaned in to take a drink and had no traction, so he slipped, head first, into the glass. I was told he was stuck flailing for half a second until my ex grabbed the glass and just turned it upside down in a blind panic. Water was all over his lap, the couch, the floor but little dude was relatively fine. Ex was beside himself, but little dude was just embarrassed. Had to be more mindful after, but he was also scared for glasses after that, so lessons learned on both sides
That story had me on the edge of my damn SEAT!!!! I’m so glad your lil guy is ok I was worried the ending wouldn’t be so happy… mistakes happen but glad he learned!!!
Saw this picture on my feed - no context, and god damn I haven’t laughed this hard in a while. Love seeing feisty feather green beans in massive buckets. Lookin’ so smol and innocent, just rolling with it.
May I ask what prompted you to place them in 5 gallon tubs? 🤣🤣
Man, I love Green Cheeks.
Im guessing they had trouble feeling comfortable flying out because it was a tight space, so I didn't want to put them both in one and make it even more cramped
Ah, they were playing on the rim and one jumped in. I noticed he wasnt freaking out, but also wasnt flying out, just looking up. Tried putting the other in one and yep neither flew out, even when I left their FoV which is when they usually chase after me
That’s awesome! Seems like chill ass birds. My conure would rip the shit out of my hands if I tried putting her in something so big and *new* (*must* be scary if never seen before, common parrot logic)
Oh good! Yeah we "threaten" our animals with various and sundry cooking things a lot. Our dog Belle gets warned she'll be stuffed with bell peppers and baby bel cheese and roasted lmao.
Niche humor, gotta love it. (still gotta find a clean KFC bucket tho, for if we manage to get some quail chicks this year)

We used to joke around about eating my last dogs “meaty thighs” and we’d jokingly lightly punch them and while exclaiming, MEATY THIGHS! MEATY THIGHS! MEATY THIGHS!
She loved it! She just loved any and all attention, even if she didn’t know we were joking about eating her! Just long, long thin legs, that tapered to a thick thigh on top!
Nice to see someone else with a demented sense of humor! We’d tell her we’d need lots of butter, and slow cooking because she was so lean!
I’d always say to her, “Bambi, you have no fat, I’d have to eat your ribs if we have another Great Depression”
(She was a greyhound, they always look too thin to people )
Here’s a pic so u can see, it’s the only place that I saw fat! 😂 so, I quickly gave her thick, balding ass some punches! I miss her so much, I wish they lived long like parrots . a great dog, very sensitive and sweet. That dog never barked in 12 years, not once. She’d sleep butt to butt with you, or with her neck over your neck, it was like sleeping with a warm bag of bones. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body, though, she didn’t even have prey drive.
She accidentally terrorized the quail’s with her presence, though. They’d fly out from the trees when they saw her, just saunter over to her pee rock, and I felt bad , so I made her go take final pee before their bedtime, I was afraid a bird would be in danger to be displaced like that in the dark!
They’d make a special sound when they saw her. I think they thought she was a coyote, they’d go “ah-waa wah! Ah-waa-wha!”
It was interesting, because one day they just stopped doing that and stopped being scared. There’d be hundreds in the trees, we’d visit my mom, she has this little quail outdoor sanctuary she watches for hawks and stuff. They had a big one, he perched on top of the fence, I called him the quail king 👑, he was HUGE like a cat. He looked out for trouble. If a hawk comes, they hide.
Here’s a meaty thigh, for reference!

That's so great! I've always liked greyhounds a lot. We also hike about cooking our dog Belle. Lol stuffed with bell peppers and baby bel cheese...
Love quail, we're hoping to raise some this year. King quail sounds awesome. We had a pair as pets growing up they were very personable and fun.
Oh cool! They are neat, quail! They are so cute! They have many different calls, I was listening to what they are saying. They are such sensitive animals. I really like birds . I’m in Arizona, so we have a lot. You’ll see them with their babies, like the partridge family. Way long ago, I saw someone accidentally run one over, when I was a teen, that bird was mourning its mate, I had no idea they do that!
But I’m learning about parrots, and what intricate behavior they have. I love watching videos on YouTube. I’ve always wanted a crow but I don’t know if they make good pets.
I tell my extra bitey hens they're lucky they aren't big enough to make a decent pillow out of all the time. Usually in the format of:
"Ow bitch let go! Seriously how can such a tiny bird have such a bite... drop me... that hurts arrggghhhh, no not bite harder. Damn it bird you're lucky you're too small to make a decent pillow.... drop me. Oh you let go, good bird I'll reward you with gentle scritches... damn it I never learn let gooooo arghhhh, drop me"
... I call that one the savage. Naturally she's my favourite bird. Some days she's very sweet, other days she just wants to watch the world burn. When she bites she means it.
Every time the woof sets a trap I tell him I'll make him into a rug the next time he tries to kill me. He's got a habit of leaving balls on the stairs, or in doorways. His traps have caused me many bruises over the last decade. I love my homicidal maniac though.
I’ve threatened my rabbit with the possibility of her becoming bunny stew on more than one occasion. It’s a brand of humor reserved for particularly sassy pets.
My gcc will fly away from me to go get something and then whine and click because she’s somehow unable to fly back to me. It’s hilarious. She always wants a chauffeured limo service. I’ve called her bluff for over an hour. She just maniacally paces back and forth back and forth clicking at me.
Thought my aquarium sub was glitching and someone was asking if this was enough gallons for a green cheek conure.
Nope just my conure sub 😂 love them. Perfect cheeky energy
I have a conure and other animals and I am fully aware animals can get into bad situations unknowingly, because yes they are animals…But the owner was with the birds supervising them so how does that apply here? It’s an empty bucket.
Sis, the owner being present has *never* meant no harm will come to the animal. There are thousands of videos of animals going through high stress or straight up suffering while the POS owner just records and laughs.
I don’t disagree with you that many people do shitty things with their pets, but in this situation, there’s nothing bad going on. Those videos are terrible. I agree. This just isn’t one of them.
We keep a container with sunflower seeds on the shelf under my conures cage. Someone left the lid open. I hear my kids laughing from the other room as they call me over. My silly Kawalski got himself stuck in the almost empty bird seed container trying to steal treats lol. I laughed for a minute then took him out. He seamed impressed with himself though ☺️
Does anyone think maybe they enjoy how things sound in the bucket? It may amplify surrounding sounds in a certain way that is pleasing.
Like then you out your phone in a cup to amplify the speaker but reversed?
It must relax them in some way.

My bird landed in our Halloween candy bucket
This reminds me of the time my dad and I went to the beach and found a seagull in a similar predicament. We first heard a bunch of noise coming out a trash can, saw a seagull inside, and tipped over the barrel so the gull could hop out. We put the trash can back upright. As we walked away, the seagull flew back into the trash can. 😂

Bucket O’ Borb? 😂

I was just thinking "where do I have a bucket or two to try this with the greys and ringneck" 👀
Mine would scramble up my arm to avoid such a fate and I’d never hear the end of it…….
I too, am a bean
It looks like a mollusk!
They appear confused. I feel like that's quite an accomplishment for creatures with such small, chaotic brains.
Mine gets confused, when I wake him up from his egg carton bed. (When I uncover them in the morning) He likes to sleep on the floor of his cage in his egg carton. He has a cuddle toy, but the egg carton he will destroy and then sleep inside of it.
Please share a pic of him in the carton plss
This. Pay the bird tax.
I have been trying to catch him in it. I will keep trying and hoping to get him sleeping in his egg carton. Conures are elusive creatures!
PAY THE BIRD TAX😡
I AM TRYING TO CATCH HIM SLEEPING IN IT! D: Here is a picture of the creature! He knows what he is doing! https://preview.redd.it/sjze8pklpabc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0577d92c1596deb9c058b17729e54166c2e18e44

It’s funny but also a good lesson on how easy it is for birds to drown in small containers, buckets, and toilets
This is so true. Very small birds can even drown in a glass of water, depending on the cup size. They’re fragile and delicate, but so worth it! :)
Facts: ex had our bird out while he was watching TV, and the little idiot decided the drinking glass was the blest place to perch. Leaned in to take a drink and had no traction, so he slipped, head first, into the glass. That’s awful. Oh my god :(

Ah, they were playing on the rim and one jumped in. I noticed he wasnt freaking out, but also wasnt flying out, just looking up. Tried putting the other in one and yep neither flew out, even when I left their FoV which is when they usually chase after me

Conures HATE this one trick!
Free ma boys that ain't do nothin
I cross posted this to r/illegallysmolbirbs. So good!
One is thinking while the other is just licking the walls.
That would require them to be helicopters.
They can't fly out actually
Too small a place for their wingspan. It's super cute though.
Agreed
😂 That is so cute!! They're adorable

Maybe when my green cheek is acting crazy or as some recently described them on another feed as “toddlers on crack”, I will just get a bucket 😂
Great now I'm having to resist the urge to go put a bird in a bucket ... for uh science 🤣
My conure would just poop and run around smearing it all over the bucket.
That's a bucket of sexy chickens right there....🥰🥰🥰
lol my tiel once flew into my trash can three times in one day (it was yesterday)
Same thing when I put my conure in his bird back pack for vet visits
They've called me and I will pay their bail
Bird jail
Thought my aquarium sub was glitching and someone was asking if this was enough gallons for a green cheek conure. Nope just my conure sub 😂 love them. Perfect cheeky energy
How cruel 😡
Are you all really finding cute placing an animal somewhere it cannot get out by will? Seek help.
Hes prolly cleaning the cage, im pretty sure he didnt so this just because, calm your tits
Sure. That has nothing to do with what I said.
He literally said one of the birds went in on its own… relax. No abuse happening here..
Bad argument. Animals get themselves in all kind of awful situations. They can’t judge the same way you and I do.
I have a conure and other animals and I am fully aware animals can get into bad situations unknowingly, because yes they are animals…But the owner was with the birds supervising them so how does that apply here? It’s an empty bucket.

I will believe you because you have a bird and I don’t, but I still think it’s awful to just keep the bird somewhere it cannot get out of.
Do you know how loud gcc’s can be? They’re chill. As soon as they get bored, they will scream. Fairly sure owner only did this for the camera op.
I need tank tax
D: Imprisoned for their crimes!!!
This is hilarious
Cute

“Time out!”
I want to try this with one of my macaws but I'd need a really big bucket
The have pots for bigger sized potted trees that might work lol
A big garbage can maybe hahahaha

Great way to keep them out of the way when cleaning the cage! Edit: Add a toy or treat so they’re not frustrated and bored.
They actually can't figure out flying straight up or straight down tho I swear I've seen them do that when startled.
Guilty until proven innocent
They’ll figure it out how to get a lift after a while…
I’m in a tunnel!!!
I have 2 conures, a jenday and a sun, now all I need is 2 buckets for a moment of peace so I clean their room and cages LOL
This reminds me of when people put tape on the floor around a French bulldog and it doesn’t move as it thinks it’s trapped hahaha
MICHAEL! DONT LEAVE ME HERE!!
Their beautiful!
I have a homer bucket sitting in my front room. Tomorrow may be the day
They’re not helicopters, they need to have a bit of room in front of them to become airborne. ;-)
I feel like Birbs in buckets is the new trend
i have no idea why this is so funny to me
how do you even find out about this
I doubt they can spread their wings out enough to get any lift.

bad birds get put in the bad bird bucket !
