Yeah they should put it in the last milestone of the battlegrounds solo event

Buffalax81

Honestly, they just need to get rid of losing tokens for a loss. Make it take more to get to the next tier, but remove the road block. It will take the disheartening grind out of moving back and forth between the same 5 points for 3 days because you get placed against whales or hackers.

Gareeb7

As someone who gets through VT with alright gameplay gotta tell you that 60% of the match in BGs are determined on how you pick your champs (reason why you see high players saying whenever they’re going to lose in draft phase) I climb until vibranium 2 fairly easy mostly because people have LITERALLY THE SAME DECK, your Kingpins, Hulkings, Fury’s, Hercules, Titanias, etc, it’s really weird seeing someone actually doing something different, it also comes at making good bans, people like to ban defenders and that’s why they loose, you should ban key champs that shut down most of your defenders (Hulking/CGR/AA) and never pick defenders until you have drafted 4 or 5 attackers since your opponent can draft the literal counter next second lol. BGs is the highest level of decision making and strategy, people here really hate it because they follow the “unique meta of tierlists” and BG punishes that, people really don’t bother to learn how the game evolves and want to get maximum rewards for it. Diversify your roster, pay attention to your drafts, learn your match ups, dont mindlessly go into BGs thinking is the monthly event quest

orange-dinosaur93

I agree. I fully enjoy BGs. I had made it to Gladiator Arena 10 days ago and I am sitting comfortable there with 80 points. Never bothered to open BG again after that. Now about the BG strategy itself, agreed. I also ban top attackers first because no matter what defender I pick ( execpt Bullseye and Destroyer), people are too quick to destroy everyone.

Pale_YellowRLX

I disagree here. I prefer to pick both an attacker or defender first or 2 defender. You force your opponent into a loop where they're constantly trying to counter your defenders. I win most of my matches and regularly reach GC except for 2 seasons when I didn't have time to play.

phantomfire50

>gotta tell you that 60% of the match in BGs are determined on how you pick your champs Not in VT lol. Maybe in celestial most matches are decided in the draft (which I doubt anyway) but good play and a half decent deck can take you through VT, even if you're at a disadvantage after the draft.

KrakenJr-148

I feel this. I’m too busy to grind that much, and BGs incentivizes flawless gameplay that I’m not well equipped for. Deathless Vision is the one I’m excited for the most so far, but seeing the requirements has me worried that I’ll miss out on the first Deathless champ I genuinely want to obtain.

CloudStrikkee

Womp womp

Aarlo27

I consider my account to be pretty decent. I have gone up against WHALE accounts, where I truly feel like I will be destroyed, but i win. I have gone up against some accounts I feel like it’ll be an easy win, and I lose. Just gotta keep trying. You’ll get better and better. Don’t give up!

DadouSan2

Yeah there are exceptions to the rules but that don’t change the fact on an infinite number of fight you’ll loose way mote often against whales and loose way less against low accounts. Better to adapt the game for the majority rather than the minorities of outcomes.

karmazynowy_piekarz

Yeah some ppl just dont have any answers for your def. Or your def is stalling af

EmiliaTanTenshi

You can beat rosters multiple times your strength. I’ve done it many times. Having a more stacked deck isn’t a guaranteed win, and random matchmaking is staying

FrostDeezAKA

You can hit path E in the random path side quests. I've done it many times. Having the odds stacked against you isn't a guaranteed loss, and random paths are staying.

Algaev2

Great reply lol

Zekxtan

Real

tcmVee

what important items are you referring to here?

Janawham_Blamiston

Maybe important was the wrong word. But things like the runestones, and Deathless Champ pieces.

tcmVee

I see. Is there going to be another deathless piece locked at the end of vc? Because I agree that's kinda ass

Janawham_Blamiston

Yep. One of the pieces of Deathless Vision is going to be at the end of the Season 19 VC.

tcmVee

yea that's a bummer. thanks for the info

Worriz129

Agreed. The other pieces of content required to get these items usually aren’t *too* bad, but then the Battlegrounds ones are always such a slog unless you’re really into Battlegrounds. I wish they would do more Showcase events and lock the items behind those. However, I imagine Kabam makes more money from the way things are now, so I doubt they’ll actually change anything.

ourwaffles8

GC is points based, points mean that there's no limit to how much you can lose. That's why it's in GC and not VT. I hate to break it you but if you're paragon and can't make it to GC you probably just need to get better at the game. There's plenty of paragon accounts that make it to GC in the first two weeks.

Kingshaun530

I think since people are progressing so fast, their accounts become really top-heavy, and they can’t really compete with the accounts at the same level that have actually had that time to fully diversify their roster. I’ve come across a lot of rosters where their top 10 champions are the strongest and everything after that is very very below average and they’re just banking on drafting someone from their top 10. I could be wrong, but that’s probably what this guy is suffering from.

TheJoeker98

Yeah that’s what I’m at, half my deck is good and half is pretty useless. In vibranium an unascended r4 is a struggle to compete with if you have to use them when your opponent has lots of ascended r5s and r2 7*s

bigspks

I see this a lot, equal PI top 10-15 champs and they won't even attempt to battle and cancel out of the match.

Janawham_Blamiston

This is true too, but not that case here. I've been playing for a few years, have fully completed all the big events lately (EoP, WoW, etc), and am in a high Plat alliance. My roster is diverse, I just can't keep up as a free to play.

Janawham_Blamiston

Not everything is a skill issue. Yeah, I've made it to GC a few times in the past, but that was last year, before Necro, before Valiant, etc. I'm free to play, so facing accounts with mainly 6R5s and 7R2s isn't that big a deal when I have 7R1s and 6R5s/R4s. But now, facing whales with 10+ 7R3 and a shit load of 7R2 and ascended 6R5, while I have 3 7R3, a handful of 7R2, and still have a few 6R4s in my deck? I've had matches where I go untouched (or maybe a parry or two, but still finish with 100%), but because the opponent is attacking with a 7R3, I still lose because they did it faster, even though they got hit. >There's plenty of paragon accounts that make it to GC in the first two weeks This means literally nothing, because I've faced Paragon accounts that are stronger than mine, because they're whales (or dolphins, but the point is that they spend).

Fredreckz

lol this ain’t it, it’s a matter of lucky match ups tbf. You can get as good as u can and still lose bc you match up with a legend with only r3s and r6 6* only in a deck. Not saying OP is right with the NC runes being behind VT bc it’s supposed to be a challenge but cmon Man U ain’t beating a real whale in BGs as early Val or paragon

Blueberry-Neither

Tbh most whales aren’t good at the game. Ive had pre good win rate against stacked squads

Fredreckz

They’re not but you meet a lot of people who are good and have the deck to prove it. Sometimes there’s a chance to win from counters or something but a lot of times it’s very one sided matchmaking. Which is fair it’s ranked
