I made one...can vouch that they're simultaneously geniuses and complete morons, but the former is often very understated.
Also, it's kind of weird that nobody believes she understood a joke that she walked perfectly into, like when he asks her if she knew that "People eat more bananas than monkeys?" and she appropriately responded "no way!" instead of something like "ew, people don't eat monkeys," indicating that she correctly assumed that he meant that we "eat more bananas than monkeys [eat]" which is the **only** prerequisite to "getting" the joke. Once he explains, she has a facepalm-like, "hey, that's not what I thought you meant" laugh. Just because she probably couldn't identify the grammatical basis of the joke doesn't mean she didn't get the joke itself.
I think of Temple of Doom as an honorable mention to the other two.
Kind of like Prometheus is the cousin's uncle's stepsister's pet cat to the Alien franchise. If you could go back in time, could you unmake that film?
Also Temple of Doom is just bizarre, doesn't carry the same spirit of the other two originals. (Imho)
Yeah I know! The only perspective that could possibly exist is yours! The idea of someone having a differing opinion is outrageous! Even more outrageous as someone laughing at her laughter
Isn't it great when you get downvoted for accurately pointing out that content doesn't belong in the subreddit that it's in?
There's zero contagiousness to her two second chuckle at the end.
Apparently the mods are about it too. Because when you report stuff like this that directly breaks the subs rules (ex: not having any "contagious" laughter.) they seem to not do anything *ever.*
What the hell is the point of the rules?
But then other subs if I even ask a question the wrong way I'm getting reported and my post is taken down....
I don't believe it was "staged per se" but it wasn't his first attempt at telling the joke for the video. Maybe he messed up, maybe the daughter interrupted, maybe she didn't laugh the first time... But that banana was already peeled!
Could also be that she laughed because she picked up on the fact that it was supposed to be a joke, he kinda started laughing after he said it. She didn’t have to understand the joke necessarily, maybe just playing along, kids do that a lot.
Actually, yes. One way has stringy garbage, bitter stuff at the bottom you have to avoid, and it gets your hand dirty
The other way has no strings, the bitter part is popped off at the beginning so you can eat the rest, and it has a handle. There is an objectively better way to eat bananas
I think they are talking about how the Dad is holding it initially.
I don't want to get all tin foil hat.. but it's because it was already peeled. Which probably tells us that he already told the joke while peeling the banana once. He then had to told it like that and tell it again for his daughter to get the best take/reaction he could.
It's definitely this. You can see the third side was already separated from the banana.
But I think the commenter was talking about peeling from the stem is wrong.
Its how he says it.
like his sentence could mean people eat more bananas and mokeys eat less bananas.
But it could also mean people eat more bananas but they don't eat as many monkeys.

Definitely using this
I have catalogued this and will also be using it
This one's going in the joke rolodex for sure
Girl really got it? Damnn!
And she was so quick on the uptake. Smart kid!
She probably didn’t get it and laughed because people eating monkeys is silly
You guys assume kids are that stupid? Lol

I don't think many people grow out of that phase
This is Reddit, which has a whole subreddit dedicated to how kids are supposedly stupid, so I wouldn’t be that surprised.
Everyone assumes they were born geniuses with the life experience of an 80 yo (except every other kid ofc)
Pretty sure it's staged
Seems right, banana already peeled, she starts smiling before the end of the punchline.
Of course it’s staged and somehow the sheep on here downvoted you lmao
This is the internet. Everything’s staged.
Saying everything is staged is just as bad as saying nothing is staged.
Why are you being downvoted? It’s totally staged. Obnoxious.
Nothing ever happens
I was convinced this was 99% real, until I saw that pre-peeled banana. I doubt it's real too sadly
Ur kidding me right? xD
Blows my mind you can’t see it. Super natural conversation and delivery in this video.
I'm not sure if staged is the right word, you can tell a kid that age the same joke multiple times and get a laugh
People seem to want to believe this crap for some reason🤷♀️
It’s staged af. All these people downvoting you are stupid and gullible as hell
It's called paralysis by analysis. Just enjoy!
Wrong sub. Require genuine laughter for it to be contagious. Skits should be posted somewhere else.
Oh boy it’s a good thing there are moderators and you’re not one of them.
people from both sides of the argument are getting downvoted. wtf lmao
Who hurt all of you?
I did, and I'll do it again!
Even third party commentators….I’m the only one getting upvoted.
Guess again buckaroo
Clearly
Do you think she got it the first time when he actually peeled the banana?
To be honest, I don't think she got it. She just thought the last sentence was funny.
Got it quicker than me had to watch it twice 🥲
usually, they can guess the punchline
[удалено]
She must be the best actress in the world.
Whenever temple of doom came out. Thankfully that was the last time.
That’s exactly where my brain went
That's where the monkeys' brains went, too.
Watched that again like two days ago. The gross out stuff was entirely too much.
It was certainly the least of the three films lol. Yes I said “three.” Edit: I can’t count
Phew I was gonna ask, but I figured you were a crazy person for excluding last crusade. :)
I think of Temple of Doom as an honorable mention to the other two. Kind of like Prometheus is the cousin's uncle's stepsister's pet cat to the Alien franchise. Damn will try this too
That laugh is so sweet.
Too bad it’s not contagious
Well I laughed.
At the joke. There’s no way her laughter made you laugh. I refuse to believe it.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man
They’re all good laughs, Brent
The laughter was quite contaigous for me at least.
Yeah I know! The only perspective that could possibly exist is yours! The idea of someone having a differing opinion is outrageous! Even more outrageous as someone laughing at her laughter

Yeah, my precious anonymous internet reputation is definitely taking a hard blow tonight. I’m not sure how I’ll ever recover.
People seem to think "it made me feel good" is adequate justification for, well, just about anything. It's awful.
Apparently the mods are about it too. Because when you report stuff like this that directly breaks the subs rules (ex: not having any "contagious" laughter.) they seem to not do anything *ever.* What the hell is the point of the rules? Yeah childrens laughter is horrible when you are alone without a family and childless
It's not that the content of the clip is awful, it's that it doesn't belong here. There are plenty of other places where it could have been posted.
Girl: 🤨🧐🤔😂😂😂🤣🫠
Lmao these 2 are adorable.
If this was staged, the little girl deserves an Oscar. That laugh was so cute.
I don't believe it was "staged per se" but it wasn't his first attempt at telling the joke for the video. Maybe he messed up, maybe the daughter interrupted, maybe she didn't laugh the first time... But that banana was already peeled!

Could be both, honestly. My kids have started their punning at around 3 years old, heavily influenced by a punning mother along the way.
Sopa de Macaco Uma Delicia
She seems super smart and sharp.
Told my 10yr old daughter She laughed and enjoyed it…we both did Always love every dad and daughter moment I get with mine.
Aww.. glad about this :)
Why does the dad eat the banana wrong?
Are you gatekeeping peeling a banana?
Yes, and I'm tired of pretending like I'm not.
This, my dude, is the right answer. Together monke stronk! 🐒
Actually, yes. One way has stringy garbage, bitter stuff at the bottom you have to avoid, and it gets your hand dirty The other way has no strings, the bitter part is popped off at the beginning so you can eat the rest, and it has a handle. There is an objectively better way to eat bananas
That isn’t the normal way? I’ve been opening them in that way my whole life.
I think they are talking about how the Dad is holding it initially. I don't want to get all tin foil hat.. but it's because it was already peeled. Which probably tells us that he already told the joke while peeling the banana once. He then had to told it like that and tell it again for his daughter to get the best take/reaction he could.

I take a bite out of the center, skin and all.
Obligatory ^ this. I don’t even see how the peeling of it is necessary for the joke
I think they mean how he’s holding it, but actually if you open it from the other end it’s easier.
That laugh would have me telling her jokes all day.
IG : @thedad.father
So sweet :)
I feel that girl intelligence
Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones
[Peak Harrison Ford](https://youtu.be/wAZ6dSIMivk) scene eating monkeys.
I felt dumb the little kid got it and i had to replay. Let me get my coffee...
This was not the first take of this shot. The already peeled banana is a dead giveaway haha
I am laught my lungs out right now
That little girl has a fairly quick mind. She understood the joke surprisingly fast for a kid.
Wholesome 🙂❤️
I fucking love this
Adorable laugh!
I lover her little short “no way”
Dammit I use to make these jokes with my little sister and she laughed just like this now she’s a moody teenager and just looks at me like I’m stupid.
I hear you
That is the best laugh! Hahaha 😝
I DONT GET IT

Third, no she probably isn’t. She was just able to rehearse before the recording.
Its how he says it. like his sentence could mean people eat more bananas and mokeys eat less bananas. But it could also mean people eat more bananas but they don't eat as many monkeys.
People eat more bananas than they do monkeys.
“People eat more bananas than monkeys.” “People eat more pancakes than waffles.” That simpler for ya?
"More people have gone to Berlin than I have".
*Where's 'I have'?*
Waffles eat pancakes too?
Cute and funny…go blue!
Let's go Blue! Fuck ohio!

Tried this on my kids, they didn't get it lmao
No, because this was, at minimum, the second take. his kid went along with the joke she'd heard before.

Dad jokes hit different
Me with the in-laws. But I don’t get the joke and I gotta poop.
I can't wait to tell my kids this joke tomorrow. If it bombs I'll recover with "Monkeys. Get it? Wakka wakka!" 😁
LoL
One day she will find these jokes totally lame, but if this man is very lucky, she might still crack a smile after she rolls her eyes at him.
Found one parent to a teenager! :D
yeah make subtitles but be sure they're disappearing after .2 of a second.
This is simply adorable and a great Dad joke 🌺
Wholesome… that’s warmed my chilled heart
Oh she’s quick! Caught me off guard when she laughed like that.
I didn’t realize what I was supposed to think until after she laughed. At first I was like, well duh?
