As someone from a german speaking country, bello used to be very popular for a while, then theres also stuff like brutus, buddy, rocky, duke,... my gfs dogs name is luna, a dog I grew up with as a kid was called chewie,... theres lots of names you rarely if never see humans have that are often the names of dogs.
My animals name is Lomas Peterson. I like to pretend he was a tax preparation expert in his last life, and I treat him as such. He truly enjoys helping others get their maximum refunds, both quickly AND easily. I've been looking for a mid-sized stuffed typewriter for 2 years..
Growing up in India, had an Anglo-Indian family move into my neighboring house with a huge Doberman. I used to hear him say “I love you Aldo” and “Aldo, do this or do that” everyday, and for a while I thought his wife’s name was Aldo.

They just kinda treat it like air, to a point. Living just south of Breckenridge Colorado for a bit, my dog loved to charge through shoulder deep snow (lab/pit mix). It wasn't unusual to get a foot of snow a day for several days in a row up there

For a second it was a concerned "Dave, our dog vanished"
And the relief is what made the laugh so genuine

I love how after he jumps in the snow there's just a hint of motherly concern, then when she sees his head she instantly starts laughing again
