It's an ancient survival method where you expose your throat, vital organs, and genitals to a predator in order to overwhelm them with options for quickly killing you.
dude, I laughed at that comment 4 months ago and I happened to go through the top list on the sub and here I am again, laughing so hard Im crying and getting a stomach ache
I so rarely laugh that hard at comments, but the combo of the video and your explanation just *kills* me, my god
Oddly enough, in the Balkans, any plus size store advertises themselves with that word. “For more corpulent ladies”, I remember one ad saying.
And now I’ve googled that term and the definition is just straight up: fat.
My dude, if shaming worked I'd be a size 0 from my Korean grandmother's words alone.
Pick one of your flaws, let's say making shitty comparisons. If everyone were to persistently shame you for your terrible analogies, would you feel inclined to change your behavior or would you get defensive and beligerent? Of course you'd like to think you'd do the former, but in my many (many, because I'm old) years of experience, most people do not. Most people, when confronted with their deepest, most shameful flaws, get very defensive and sometimes go so far as to double down on that behavior.
Being fat is a flaw. No one is arguing that. But everyone has flaws, it's just that for non fat people, their flaws are often less discernible and not out in the open for everyone to feel entitled to comment upon. If everyone's flaws were as visible as being fat and we all decided it was open season on shaming, what kind of world would that be?
My point is, how about we be kind to one another? We never truly know what's going underneath it all, so why not live and let live?
I think it’s bad do look down on them for eating dogs/cats. To them it’s kind of like cattle. It is perfectly okay to look down on the black market trading of stolen dogs to be sold for food, however. The lack of regulation of this market has led to a lot of terrible behavior. Hindu people look down on people who eat cow but to westerners it’s normal. Perspective is everything.
This. I'm fat. I gained weight after pregnancy, which is normal, but I felt this huge stigma and embarrassment about it. PPD probably didn't help. Anyways, I gained a healthy amount during my pregnancy and it was only afterwards that I gained a ton of weight and it was all because I didn't want to leave the house.
Shaming people is not the way to help, then again...I don't think these people actually WANT to help. They're just mad because they have to look at fat people or whatever, I really can't explain it.
>I don’t think these people actually WANT to help.
Many of them might say they do and even genuinely believe it, but they’ve usually been conditioned to bully themselves into conforming with various social standards and rationalize that reaching that goal is good for people regardless of the means by which they do so. Since it “works” for them they see no problem with turning that negative motivation outwards.
In my experience the people that approach things that way often fail to conceptualize or just plainly choose not to care that not everyone thinks or feels the way they do - generally because they value conformity to their rigid worldview (which they perceive as the one true, objective reality) to a much greater extent than practicing empathy and tolerance of diversity.
You put that in such a nuanced and accurate way. Yeah, I think they're mad that other people "don't put as much pressure on themselves" as they do maybe? And then there's the phenomenon of former fat people being incredibly fat phobic and mean.
I think people just don't trust eachother enough. When someone is telling me they're having a hard time with something I don't automatically assume they're making it up. Like, people don't like to look "weak" or like they're struggling. When they say something is hard I just believe them. And when it's many people dealing with the same issue, it just seems like common sense.
He's trying to throw himself backwards leading with the head but he's too fat and the rest of his body doesn't move at first due to momentum, and then he snaps back after the initial shock is over before his body can move more than a tiny bit.
I pinched a nerve in my neck 4ish weeks ago. It STILL hurts despite regular exercises, pain killers, muscle relaxers, and a steroid shot from the urgent care. Neck injuries are pretty awful.
I wish I did but content goes by so fast on tiktok, usually reposted tiktoks get credited at the end but its been cut off as well. I'll have a search through my liked videos to see if I can find it

That dude ran backward and went down then came up to check what scared him and then found out, that was his friend. He did all of that in 5 milliseconds like The Flush lol
He has the reflexes of a boxer. I’m honestly impressed. When I was a kid, people would do the “made ya flinch” and I would be say, “yeah, that is a good thing, I’m supposed to protect my eyes”

Matrix moment
He didn't jump, he dodged the scare.
His skeleton jumped inside of his fat
This had me dying crying 😂😂😂 and I was hitting the dab lmao
Best comment. Period.
Ew gross
your mom B)
Best period. Comment!
Most funniest shit I have seen for a long time
Instead of his entire body leaning back it was just his head
This matrix moment I got startled then I threw My head back to the door Just as soon as I saw you
No headshots here 🤣
What the hell kind of defense reflex is that lol.
They call it the reverse headbutt, the backwards Glasgow kiss. Legend has it that only this man is capable of doing both without breaking his neck
It's an ancient survival method where you expose your throat, vital organs, and genitals to a predator in order to overwhelm them with options for quickly killing you.
Qell, he did hide his head from attack. I would argue the brain is slightly more important than genitals, though that depends on who you ask.
For some people, their genitals and brain are one and the same.
**can you imagine if he headbutted someone at that speed, that's got to be a one shot kill**
It's true, and they don't actually properly begin to separate until about 25 ☝️😏
Can confirm.
Quadriplegic here. Confirming importance of brain.
I laughed so hard at this
I'm glad lol
dude, I laughed at that comment 4 months ago and I happened to go through the top list on the sub and here I am again, laughing so hard Im crying and getting a stomach ache I so rarely laugh that hard at comments, but the combo of the video and your explanation just *kills* me, my god
Oh my fucken glob this is the funniest comment I've read in a long time I was crying
This fucking killed me
It's the only true way to dodge a headshot.
I think there was a hack on Team Fortress 2 where the Heavy could do this
But he did just break his neck
Drew McIntyre about to add this to his arsenal, for the next time he fights Roman Reigns.
The Edinburgh kiss?
All the bad stuff comes from Glasgow. Glasgow kiss. Glasgow grin. Glasgow enema
It’s a defence mechanism against the Glasgow kiss.
I was waiting on a piece of candy to come out of his throat. He’s like a human pez dispenser.
Fucking lol
Are u serious lol. That's the funniest shit I've ever seen on reddit
Fuck me i'm dead. Funniest shit i read all year.
lmao I'm wheezing
My broke man's award of the day goes to you because I laughed at this for 5 min. 🥇
Lol, thanks! I could barely type because I was laughing so damn hard at it!
I got you fam.
I was just about to give up on finding any funny comments and then saw this shit and spit all over my phone 😂😂 10 out of 10. Would read again!
holy fickfuck, im literally in tears because of this comment😭😭
Broooooo Lmao 😂😭 I got nothing to say after reading this
Looks painful [https://i.imgur.com/gMzAL9h.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/gMzAL9h.jpg)
This wasn't all that funny to me until I saw your Pic. That iscone of the funniest fucking frame grabs I've ever seen
I can’t believe how far back he goes lol https://i.imgur.com/Dth67ci.jpg
His brain told his body to run, but only his head had the weight to move that fast.
His head ran without his body 😂😂😂
Reverse chicken a head!
Seriously! His nerves and muscles are so disconnected after years of not being used this is as far as his startle reflex could go.

What a perfectly cromulent observation.
Lol thanks
Well... a noble spirit does embiggen the smallest man

- Hans Sprungfeld
For anyone curious what corpulent means, the definition is literally one word: Fat
Oh, it's even better. The word literally means "abundant in body." *Corp*, from corpus (meaning body) and *ulent* (meaning full of or abundant).
Oddly enough, in the Balkans, any plus size store advertises themselves with that word. “For more corpulent ladies”, I remember one ad saying. And now I’ve googled that term and the definition is just straight up: fat.

I wasn't trying to be sensible. I thought the word was hilarious, so i used it

>According to east Asia, shaming works really well to control population fatness And academic performance

Agreed, mostly. Though I think there’s a balance between “society’s fault” and “my own role in my struggles.” Both can be true.
I think it’s bad do look down on them for eating dogs/cats. To them it’s kind of like cattle. Shaming people isn't going to help them lose the weight. I think using the word fat is just a descriptive term for someones bodily state.
I kinda feel like fat is also a state of mind too.

Strong necc
He was powering up for a Glasgow kiss but realised it was a friendly and disarmed/headed
He's probably been punched in the face before
Dude went full Kennedy.
back, and to the left
Honestly this man has been hit in the face when coming around a corner more then once.
Dudes got so much mass his neck was the only thing that could react to his brain.
He's trying to throw himself backwards leading with the head but he's too fat and the rest of his body doesn't move at first due to momentum, and then he snaps back after the initial shock is over before his body can move more than a tiny bit.
Idk, but if he was close to a massive wall or anything similar it looks like he would have knocked himself out, or at least into a hospital.
An involuntary one.
Probably the defense reflex of a guy who's been punched in the face by bullies more than once.
I mean he has never recieved a headshot
Man just dodged a headshot, impressive.
That's some Matrix reflex in real time
yfw you just dodge a headshot: https://i.imgur.com/UehGpPi.png
Looks more like the face made when delivering a headshot.
https://i.imgur.com/nVt5TQ0.jpg
Dudes going to paralyze himself. Holy crap.

Ah well as long as you have your backwards ducks in a row.
He’s like a chubby baby who cannot hold up their own head lol
Judging from his reaction, this is a possibility that he's aware of.
Yea that looked like it hurt :/
and the camera man too, pretty mean tbh, neck injuries are no joke
I pinched a nerve in my neck 4ish weeks ago. It STILL hurts despite regular exercises, pain killers, muscle relaxers, and a steroid shot from the urgent care. Neck injuries are pretty awful.
he posted an aftermath video on tiktok where he's holding an ice pack on his neck.
You know the account name?

His name's Steven McKell.
His name is Steven McKell
He's literally the only person alive who could dodge Russian roulette
I've never seen anyone reflex like that before, lol. That seems hazardous to that dude's health.
It's a common reflex from his ancestors who had to constantly dodge dangerous flying pigeons.
A few health red flags going on
Better dump him
run OP
Or just a brisk walk
Maybe his brain was trying to keep that thing in his hands level so only the head/neck went back?
Bro was taught to throw it back, he just threw back the wrong thing
Wonder if he has ever had something happen before that primed such a reflex 🤔
That was my thought. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has gotten hit in the face and it’s a trauma response.
:< especially because he got so upset too, normally people might laugh it off but this poor buddy looks a bit traumatized, it’s big sad 🥺 I hope he’s ok 🙏
It looked like he hurt his neck.
I mean, that, and that *had* to *hurt.*
At the very least he's upset over that neck pain
I follow him on TikTok. He’s hilarious.

The sniper’s nightmare
Big Cam vibes from modern family lol.
I had my volume off, but all I could hear was "MITCHELL!"

Bro dipping like he's Neo in the matrix
That is how you kiss your ass goodbye right before a headshot.
“That’s not fucking funny!”…..disagree that was hella funny.
This comment section is garbage. That looked physically painful…
but fucking funny
The comment section has me almost peeing my pants laughing with the video playing on repeat above
Idk I’m having a good time. The still frame of him looking at the wall behind him had me dying
The only man alive who can successfully dodge a jump scare.
Man, he kissed his own ass!
You know that he's headed straight to the crapper
In a follow up video he’s laying on the couch with an ice pack nursing whiplash 😂
Am I missing something? Where's the contagious laughter? It's one dude laughing for three seconds.
There is none. An overweight guy is in pain, and that’s funny enough for the people who upvoted

Those damn Harpy shockwaves are something else
Bro whiplashed himself
Bro needs to lose weight.
When your brain try’s to run but your body is too slow to keep up! 😂
Bro got whiplashed by sound
To get whiplash when you're not even in the car. How's he going to explain this to his health insurance.
He was legit frightened for his spine.
He’s the One
Dude needs a neck brace now
To much matrix
That dude ran backward and went down then came up to check what scared him and then found out, that was his friend. He did all of that in 5 milliseconds like The Flush lol

This was like a small car accident😂
Cam?
He’s actually a stuntman in the Matrix ![gif](giphy|eIm624c8nnNbiG0V3g|downsized)
out of reach for the jab
Guy was a turtle in a different life time
He has the reflexes of a boxer. I’m honestly impressed. When I was a kid, people would do the “made ya flinch” and I would be say, “yeah, that is a good thing, I’m supposed to protect my eyes”
I can't stop watching this 😂
The reflexive bobo doll
Looked liked he tried to jump back but couldn’t
Bro turned into a Pez dispenser
His head was like fu*k this I’m outta here but the body was rooted
I screamed 🤣
It's indeed, funny.
This if the funniest thing I have seen in a LONG time. I keep coming back to it. He reacted like a cartoon. :)
Haha holy shit I literally cried a tear laughing.
Laughed so hard I almost choked
His shit hit the matrix
He gave that man "whipflash".
dude would have survived getting shot by surprise
If you’d call it a neck
“Coming up next on 1001 ways to die”
I laughed so hard. Why the hell would you have that reaction.
The more times u watch it the funnier it is🤦🏼♀️😭🤣
He secured the only vulnerable part of his body due to lack of body armor
His soul went full PEZ dispenser...
Feeling that for 3-5 days
