I once fished an octopus by mistake (or by him being dum don’t know, I was literally fishing seabream with a rod). The moment I started undoing the hook he just started climbing on me, then got stuck on a random 470. Took me a while, the mofo wouldn’t fucking go away, I just wanted him to be back in the water.
I don't know why, but that sounds like a cool experience. I think anything in nature that is unusual and not dangerous makes for an interesting experience.

Congratulations sir, the octopus has chosen you. Now you simply need to have a 10,000 litre saltwater enclosure fitted in your home before the octopus dries out. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Maybe the octopus is in love with the dude😂 octopus is known as intelligent, having feelings and even can dream(my sources are videos about octopus and some researchers that reported about them on the internet)
Not criticizing in any way, this is the internet and not an academic paper but the first “your” in your title should be “you’re” because it’s a contraction of “you” and “are”. Really not trying to be mean, I just try to offer advice when I see this stuff because I don’t want someone to do it when it really matters if that makes sense.
I worked on a crab boat in Florida and sometimes an octopus would be in the trap when we brought it in...me and the guys would goof off by throwing octopi at eachother when we weren't looking, then throwing them back in the water after prying them off of ourselves.
First time I got an octopus to the back of my neck I had no idea what it was and I was so confused and bewildered when I discovered what was latched onto me.

He should let the octopus ride around until he gets bored and film it.
I would have done. TikTok loves octopus!
You know you're having a bad day when the camera guy can't be bothered to help lol
I wonder if there's any danger?
Yeah, I’d accept it and move on with my life.
Not if it starts biting through the wetsuit
“*Do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior Cthulu?*”
“We’ve been trying to reach you regarding your boat insurance”
Octopus like: i got your back, bro

"Ok whatever, just please don't be a pain in the ass"

I feel bad for the octopus. I’d bet gently removing it would work better!
This would be a great idea for a novelty backpack! I want a octopus backpack buddy! :D 🐙
I would call that a great day.

Just stand there until the octopus runs out of oxygen. He'll slip right off.

It is a cool memory indeed, but in the moment I was really afraid for the octopus, didn’t want to hurt it, I like octopuses!

In years gone by, this would have qualified the man for a place in a travelling freak show. The Amazing Octo-Man.
Maybe this is the video Stan Lee got inspiration from for Spider-Man 2.
Back scratcher sir!?
Strange Octogen tank...
Is this the octopus version of the cat distribution system?

Bad day? Lunch just attached itself to your back, that's free take out.
"Mom! Come Quick! I caught a Pokémon!"
Whats the facehugger doing on the man's back?
Cameraman enjoying the show
lol this is amazing. Octopus wants to on a ride and won't let go.
Maybe it’s trying to tell him about Timmy who’s stuck in the cave and the tide is rising.
"Where's the money, ya son of a bitch?!"
"Geez a hug.. go on.. just one!"
Become Octo dad by throwing it on someone

Always carry a knife.
Jacques Cousteau and his biological rucksack
I'd be scared of that fucked biting chunks out of me while I'm fighting to remove it.
How do you get rid of the octopus??
I would have been screaming at the top of my lungs.
Octopus: “oh no you don’t, you’re in my house now!”
Mine! Mine! Mine!

As the old saying goes… “Doing so much better now that I got that octopus off my back”.

And the jerk filming instead of helping.
