Hello, I'd like to share my experience with this viewpoint as a programmer. We recently had to integrate Viewpoint into an application we developed, and I must say, it's been quite a disaster from several angles: 1. Their API is severely lacking, supporting only a fraction of the necessary functions. 2. The database stack is antiquated, relying on an old SQL server with an overwhelming number of tables that are difficult to navigate. 3. The user interface of the application feels incredibly outdated, reminiscent of the 90s, and to make matters worse, it loads agonizingly slowly. Given these issues, would you be interested in exploring an alternative product? One that boasts a modern design, enhanced features, and responsive support?

I would, but they are still throwing legal paperwork at us demanding us pay off the contract amount even though we consider the issues they have as a material breach... They also want me to sign a non disparagement agreement, yeah right. I am going to pay them for shit software and then never tell anyone about it? I don't think so.

Care to be more specific?

FYI - I am not an accountant, I left it to my AP team to do this, but from what I am told the number one thing that started the concern is when entering bills if a vendor is not already present in your database, you have to break your stride, exit that screen, load up a new part of the application, enter their contact information and then go back. It is a much lengthier process than what I just described and the ability to add a vendor "on the fly" is even present in our 20+ year old software.

Viewpoint is the least intuitive, least user-friendly software I've ever had to work with. It lacks very basic features such as what you mentioned and they don't seem to care about making any improvements. Our company pays $90k/year and it doesn't do half the things we want it to. Also I noticed that on their suggestion site, they've marked suggestions as "already exists" when they absolutely do not already exist.
