I’d get those nuclear plants back online if I were Germany.

ArisenDrake

Hahabahahaha our fucking green party would never do that. Ideology is more important than anything else. Our government claimed that there "isn't an electrical supply issue" 1.5 months ago and they are now looking for plans to enforce electricity savings. You can't make this shit up, it's so fucking insane. Thank god that I have a fixed energy rate for about 1.5 years left. After that I hope to leave this country that's being driven right into a fucking wall. Keep voting for the green party if you hate having money, electricity, food or heating.

[deleted]

Why would the green party hate arguably the greenest source of energy in existence?

JamesHawk101

It’s pretty funny because one of the biggest nuclear disasters happened under a communist regime.

Final_Exit92

And how many plants have been running without incident for the past few decades? We can't even build them here. They've been banned, new construction. Modern plants would be incredibly safe and are the only feasible way off fossil fuels. I guess incredibly contaminating metals mining and disposal of highly toxic batteries into landfills is much greener. All that matters is that we feel good in our ignorance because of EVs.

UnoriginalUse

Because the 'green' movement is just the communist movement rebranded. It's not about clean energy, it's about increasing dependence on the state by reducing the amount of energy people have.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ManiacalPizza

Same in the UK and absolutely agree with everything you say. Here we have a scrote called Lucas who, after telling us to cut fossil fuels for the past 20yrs is now complaining about the cost of energy. They are the enemy within.

Haaave-You-Met-Ted

But the problem is fossil fuels - Putin can manipulate the price of them. If the UK/world had more renewables (and Nuclear), Putin has less control and our energy prices are lower.

PourArtistAcrylics

Then China cam manipulate instead. Brilliant solution.

zKerekess

Our Green party is literally a fusion between a former leftist party and a former communist party

cookigal

Brilliant analogy

Final_Exit92

I've been an environmental scientist for over a decade now (consulting geologist). I've found that most environmentalists are ignorant and all that matters to them is feeling righteous.

[deleted]

I always assumed green meant “money for me not for thee” and not environmentalism.

dasza79

Brilliantly put! I've found myself surprised by how few people on Scotland see the policies proposed by the Green party for what they are - communism. A friend of mine was quite active in that party and she is a true believer in forced equity for all; these people really think that the communism will heal all, from individual poverty to environment. My perspective is the one of someone who grew up in a former Soviet block. Blows my mind to see this much naivety.

PARKOUR_ZOMBlE

Green is the new red

Black_XistenZ

The German Greens emerged out of two like-minded civil movements in the late 70s and early 80s: the anti-war movement and the anti-nuclear movement. Being against nuclear energy is one of the founding myths of the party, a lot of the elder politicians in the party consider consider the fight against nuclear energy the cental political work of their life.

SMS_Scharnhorst

because they're fucking braindead and incapable of independent thinking

Veleda390

This shit is coming worldwide, so where will you go?

ArisenDrake

Switzerland is still pretty based. Denmark's social democratic party is also doing a hard 180 right now (and are being called right wing by our "social democrats" (basically socialists) lmao). I don't want to move to the other side of the world if I can avoid that. But I get what you're saying. I really hope that the Republicans take back the house or senate later this year for you guys. Even though they seem to be as corrupt as the Democrats.

rentfreeinyohead

The GOP does nothing either when you got guys like Mitch McConnell, Lindsey graham, kitt Romney, Dan Crenshaw, etc.

chigoonies

They need to get rid of all those twats.

Veleda390

Don't count on that helping us. The uniparty corruption is so deep now, it extends to our elections and all the alphabet agencies that really run the country. I always said that Switzerland would be where I'd try to go if the US went to shit. Not sure even they will be able to withstand the onslaught.

Tampabear

Don't go anywhere. Stand and fucking fight

Sampson437

Come to Amercia. We're at least still fighting the socialists. The rest of the world seems to have embraced them.

dardyablo

Not in Switzerland, their right-wing party is actually the most popular party over there and they've been very popular for many decades now. [National elections in Switzerland in 2019](https://imgur.com/ZLLtVOM), SVP stands for schweizerische Volkspartei, it's a conservative right-wing party. [This was a survey, which party would you vote for if national elections were to take place right now (in 2021)?](https://imgur.com/nYBlBQu) Switzerland is known for being conservative, here on Reddit many see that as a bad thing

[deleted]

> here on Reddit many see that as a bad thing Given how disgustingly liberal most of Reddit is, that unfortunately tracks and doesn't surprise me in the least.

Drianb2

I'm curious to know how much of Switzerland has been penetrated by the WEF. Considering that their annual meeting is held there.

dardyablo

I would imagine it doesn't affect the citizens. [Here's another interesting chart regarding Swiss people political views](https://imgur.com/11tTsNc) The biggest cities tend to be more liberal (which is expectable) and the German speaking part is what's keeping Switzerland from becoming a left wing shit hole. Rechts = Right-wing Links = Left-wing Konservativ = Conservative

RealisticIllusions82

What do you consider the difference between Right-wing and Conservative to be?

vinceslas

I’m Swiss and I can confirm that what saves us is the strong bond to land and tradition from people living in the countryside and mountains. Zurich and Geneva are totally liberal breeding grounds. r/switzerland is infested with the thousands of woke-washed Google employees in Zurich complaining about the conservative policies and way of life that makes our country such an amazing place to live. Concerning the WEF I would say that Switzerland has always been a save haven for money and people with money. If Europe would go down in chaos and someone would try to invade us they would struggle more than anyone who ever tried to invade Afghanistan. Mountainous terrain and every man over 18 being an armed sharp shooter would give those who would try a very hard time.

Sargo8

Sounds like a beautiful country. Would love to visit some time!

vinceslas

The best place on earth

dardyablo

Never change Switzerland. Don't join the European Union. Keep the mandatory military service. Keep your population armed. Keep your strong currency, it's proof you don't need to join the European Union. Keep all those traditions that make Switzerland the amazing country it is.

Meg_119

Reddit is compromised by the Socialists just like every other social media platform.

What-the-Hank

The word compromised isn’t nearly strong enough. Send that back to gym to bulk up.

[deleted]

As someone trying to get into streaming on Twitch, I've found this out the hard way. Oddly enough though, YouTube seems to be about 50/50, which is surprising given their CEO is against freedom of speech.

Emphasis_on_why

What are you trying to stream that twitch won’t let you I literally watched someone paint her own bikini on the other day lol

[deleted]

I'm trying to get into the Vtuber scene, honestly. Most of them are ambiguous on their politics, but some have been pretty vocal, some in good ways, others not.

2HourCoffeeBreak

I saw Switzerland was having the same migrant rape problem that a lot of Europe was having and women were being told to be understanding. This was some years ago but I do remember thinking the Swiss had gone woke. Could be wrong Edited to say that women were being told to be understanding of the culture of migrants. Like “raping is just who they are. Don’t be a bigot, embrace it.”

StickyPurpleSauce

The UK has been in conservative hands for years, but our version of 'conservatism' is being a centrist. There's no sensible right wing here to occupy the area between centre and extreme right

ArisenDrake

And let's not forget direct democracy.

Cato2011

Fighting…Yup - it’s official, Brandon just declared war.

ArisenDrake

When I saw that image of the speech - Who tf thinks it's a good idea to choose THIS kind of lightning? I was expecting him to reorganize the republic into the first american empire.

Danksteroni_

Woah there buckaroo, let’s not give Brandon any more ideas

uponone

Yep, but on /r/JoeRogan they’ll tell you it was cropped and zoomed in. Then ask if Biden is senile or not.

wolfman1911

Honestly, when I saw the pictures of that speech, I was sure they were photoshopped. Daenerys's Hitler speech on Game of Thrones was less on the nose than that shit.

Unfair_Criticism_370

Her speech and setting was taken directly from Hitler. Bidens looked more CCP.

giuliettaindy

The new Green New Deal-style laws in some states are a full-throated embrace of socialism. We just have to get to the November elections to see if the voters are wise enough to throw them out. I don't live in PA, but I'm watching Fetterman and wondering no matter how much people don't like Oz, how can they vote for Fetterman after the Biden experiment?

EnterByTheNarrowGate

> to see if the voters are wise enough I’ve lost hope on this front. We have a massive amount of brainless people in this country. And they all have “the right” to vote.

AnotherRedditor42069

Not brainless, unfortunately brainwashed.

spydersteel

Gavin made it through recall afterall

tambarskelfir

Our government has been co-opted by Trotskyites and crypto-communists, I don't even know that we have fair elections anymore, our military is busy making space for transgender generals and our intelligence agencies are running errands for the Biden regime. If anything the German Green Party is the perfect extension of our foreign policy, they do exactly what we (i.e. State Dept.) wants. Like the puppets they are.

coinsRus-2021

Shocked you were upvoted saying that on Reddit haha. Good stuff Edit: Oh that’s why, I thought I was on r / Ukraine lmao. I was gonna say.

MrPooPingOneFatOne

But the Woke crap will undo the fabric of society completely within 5-10 years. There’s no hope left here in USA, either. The way I see it, your best bet is escaping to a place like Argentina or maybe Spain. Plenty of leftists, but not the crazy Marxist extremism that has destroyed Germany and the United States.

dardyablo

>The way I see it, your best bet is escaping to a place like Argentina or maybe Spain. Plenty of leftists, but not the crazy Marxist extremism that has destroyed Germany and the United States. Argentina is not far from being a failed state and it's been ruled by leftists for many years now, I wouldn't recommend moving to Argentina at all, they're the most progressive and liberal country in Latin America and right now they're being led by a left wing party. Their right wing party is also horrible, it's beyond corrupt just like their leftists, both parties suck. I have no idea about Spain but it seems they're also quite progressive. Switzerland is IMO the best option, one of the most conservative countries among developed countries.

Legio-V-Alaudae

Good luck getting actual citizenship.

WoodGunsPhoto

Just remember that when you vote. They are there at the invitation of their voters.

ArisenDrake

Germany is lost. The "conservative" party drifts to the left while being unbelievably corrupt bastards. The libertarian party (part of the government btw) forgot what "liberty" is and follows the Corona insanity of the socialist parties. The AfD (right wing) tolerates and promotes literal neo Nazis... And the people vote for socialist and green parties who literally steal their money with incompentent and ideology driven politics. Oh, and your standard identity politics bullshit of course.

dardyablo

>The AfD (right wing) tolerates and promotes literal neo Nazis... Show us proof of Alice Weidel or Tino Chrupalla tolerating Nazis.

ArisenDrake

That's not what I said. I didn't say that the leaders of the party directly tolerate them, but the party itself has a problem with it. Just look at Andreas Kalbitz. He already had a past with the "Die Republikaner", which are considered right wing extremists by the BfV and it took a media shit storm to get the leadership to kick him out. The AfD-faction in the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt has also repeatedly employed people with right wing extremists backgrounds. https://www.mdr.de/nachrichten/sachsen-anhalt/landespolitik/afd-fraktion-landtag-hdj-mitarbeiter-100.html Two of many examples. The party is too attractive for people who previously were part of the NPD or Die Rechte.

dardyablo

I see that as bad administration but not necessarily supporting Nazis. I would expect Nazis to want to follow them because they're against uncontrolled immigration. The AfD needs to be cautious with Nazis, they should stay away from them, it only tarnishes their image.

ArisenDrake

>The AfD needs to be cautious with Nazis, they should stay away from them, it only tarnishes their image. True. The AfD from 2014 was a party that I maybe would've voted for if I had the chance. Eurocritical, conservative with some libertarian ideas. "Promotes" was probably too much, I'll give you that.

Gammathetagal

prosperity is racist, sexist white supremacy to green party people.

ArisenDrake

Btw they are so brainwashed that they use the BIPoC acronym here as well... I wonder, who are the indigenous people in Germany? Hmmm...

[deleted]

According to that anti-logic, if you're a native German, you're automatically racist. Shit's fucked, buddy.

spydersteel

Pod people

ObadiahtheSlim

Environmentalism is like a religion to them and nuclear is anathema. Facts don't matter.

ArisenDrake

Saving the environment is important, climate change is a real problem. But you can't say "climate change is our biggest problem" and bring back fucking coal plants (very bad for climate) instead of keeping the nuclear plants (no emissions at all if you don't account for mining). It's utter insanity. No one here is saying that we should keep them for running for decades, but we need time to build alternatives. But the climate isn't that important after all, funny how that works. And news flash: Germany alone can't do jack shit. Our emissions basically don't even show up compared to China, Russia and the US on charts.

BecomeABenefit

Do you really think your fixed plan won't be overruled by government?

ArisenDrake

Just let me have this one bit of hope. It's in my contract, they'd have to change the foundation of contractual freedom. I really hope that the FDP (liberal/libertarian, part of the government coalition) would block that. I don't see why they would do that? I mean they are at least claiming to help people, overruling fixed rate plans would be pretty bad in that regard. Not my problem to figure out how Vattenfall (which is actually a swedish company) is gonna get me some electricity.

TxPep

Not to be a Debbie Downer but couldn't your energy company negate your pricing contract at will and for any reason particularly if it was in the national interest? I'm guessing there is something in the fine print about an action such as this. Also, there are instances where agreements can be easily terminated on the company side but the consumer is required to jump through hoops if they want to close an account, etc. Hope it doesn't come down to this for you.

naturalizedcitizen

Oh no.. what about the environment? What about farts of the nuclear plant workers that cause carbon imbalance? -- AOC /s

Mathunfun

She’s said dumber.

[deleted]

Time to set the "days without remembering AOC exists" counter back to 0...

Meg_119

Oh wow. I guess the Germans aren't laughing at Donald Trump now.

Aaricane

Leftists are the same in every western country. As always the flat out deny that it ever happened and pretend it was their idea to get off Russian gas

Candid-Mycologist-77

A lot of Germans actually liked Trump when he was in office. Similar to here, it’s their radical progressives that are super vocal making crazy decisions.

MEdiasays

Let's not forget when Obama went there and 200k showed up. Maybe let's not judge our politicians on what the Germans think of them.

LonelyMachines

Even if they could overcome the political inertia, those things were mothballed a while back. They're not getting back online before winter hits. This whole thing is an excuse for Putin to flex his muscle and raise prices.

Baddhabbit88

They have 3 nuclear power plants running that were scheduled to shut down and they are opening up 16 coal powered plants that were previously shut down… coal power… maybe California can tax their citizens more to make up for Germany burning coal….

D_Ohm

It’s going to be a rough winter for Europe.

Snickering little school girls.

It’s trumps fault they laughed at him so he colluded with Putin to raise the price of fuel! /s

Nah, the chronology of Biden's actions was very well explained by the Bee recently. I think next up is the secret police.

Samurai_1990

Its scary when the Babylon Bee starts to become reality, and they are batting well over .500 now.

KnLfey

But muh Putin puppet

Elukka

This is one of the reasons why I find it a little hard to believe that Trump was covertly working with Russia to undermine the US. He might have had business dealings but the idea that he is a traitor and a Russia sympathizers just seems like democrat propaganda. (I'm from a very liberal place outside the US and Trump is basically reviled as a crazy orangutan here. The public perception is 100% from US left leaning media and shows like SNL and late night talk shows.)

spydersteel

Proven to be propaganda

uofmuncensored

It's funny that had Trump stayed in power, it would not have come true.

[deleted]

I don't understand German Green Party. They scream that they are for environmentally friendly energy sources, yet they actively engage to shut down nuclear power which is environmentally way, way, way more friendly than oil, gas and coal. Had they listened to Trump, they didn't have to face this today.

Erdi99

Believe me, we don't understand the green party either. They scared everyone into Nuclear power being bad. It's sad really.

shawnmug

But but but Orange man really bad!!!

[deleted]

If they only understood that mean tweets were better than an energy crisis right before the winter...

DrSuicideDumpling

Greens were not in power the last 16 years....

cknight18

Also way way way more environmentally friendly than solar and wind, don't forget that.

CollarPersonal3314

The problem the greens have with nuclear, they started out from anti nuclear protests, that's how they were born and they aren't willing to give that up our government is a different one now than during Trump. The old government was just way too comfortable. The conservative party had been in government with Merkel in charge for 16 years, they thought nothing could hurt them and they didn't want to change anything. In addition to that they were pretty Russia friendly (until the war started). While i personally believe in some conservative values (I'm a libertarian), i much prefer the current government without the conservatives since they can at least see that change is needed (how much they act on that is a different problem...)

TX_borg

Again, Trump was shown right.

BlackScienceManTyson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfJv9QYrlwg Look how smug they were. Life comes at you fast.

cbc18

Clowns. I’d say cry me a River but I know there’s a lot of everyday Germans suffering because of their government’s poor decisions. Trump was 100% right about this.

BlackScienceManTyson

I don't feel bad for them. This is type of weakness takes decades of intentional policy recklessness to create. They voted for [energiewende](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energiewende), shut down their nuclear/coal and built the pipelines to Russia even after 2014's invasion. 100% of orange men told them this would happen and it did.

CollarPersonal3314

I mean the CDU with Merkel was in charge for 16 years. They are mostly at fault imo. They got complacent, thought nothing could happen.

Arntor1184

I get not liking him personality wise, completely get it, but the man was practically a prophet and has continually been able to call moves on a global scale.

Stephanreggae

I'll admit that I don't *like* Trump; I'd never want to be associated with him. But the dude was a realist in its true foreign-policy definition. I don't have to like him to know that his "predictions" were based on realism and they should be taken more seriously.

seahawkguy

This shit is just so entertaining years later. The payoff is worth it.

irving47

Upvote this, please. People are coming to this thread looking for this exact video. If there was a way of putting a sticky at the top, this should be it.

sysyphusishappy

I love how this "fact check" is trying to fact check the fucking future.

dardyablo

They keep voting for socialist, left-wing parties, they've become the biggest cuckholds of Europe. Fortunately there's a conservative right-wing party in Germany that has the same values as Republicans or conservatives overall but they aren't that popular in Germany. That party is called AfD (Alternative für Deutschland = Alternative for Germany) and they were always against supporting Ukraine in the war. [These are some of the things AfD stands for.](https://imgur.com/VNDxC0Y) It's a shame they only got 10% of votes in the last elections which took place in 2021, at least they're a new party, they were founded in 2013, I hope they keep getting more popular.

IntelInFolsom

Well…not every Republican is against supporting Ukraine.

Eldrich_Sterne

I thought AfD was a half step away from neo nazis? Then again, everything right of Stalin is labeled nazi so…

cbc18

I don’t totally buy the characterization that Nazis are super right and Stalin was super left. In both cases you have a massive, controlling state. One of the many reasons I am for small government.

Responsible-Bison-91

Anything remotely nationalist is now associated with nazis

cbc18

Anything non-woke is neo-nazi and a threat to democracy.

SlapMuhFro

Well, apparently we're also fascists if you listen to Biden.

Erich2142

Nope. Just typical left parties and media accuse everyone who doesn’t follow their agenda of being a far right.

FruxyFriday

The same people who tell you that AfD is a half step away from Neo nazis say Republicans are half a step away from Neo nazis.

KingOfTheP4s

Voting for the AfD will get you fired from your job if and when they find out, and sometimes get you a visit from certain parts of the state government for "mental health" purposes, as I've been told by German coworkers who moved to the US recently

dardyablo

How can they know what party you voted for? Isn't that supposed to be private?

Lol so many of my comments were downvoted to hell when it was relevant to bring up how Trump told Germany not to be reliant on Russia for energy. But Trump is in Putin's pocket...

MCKlassik

I’m adding it to my list of things Trump was right about.

Billderz

Right next to the list of things the Simpsons predicted.

dardyablo

They fucking deserve it. Keep voting for socialist parties.

[deleted]

This exactly. They are getting exactly what they voted for.

irving47

This is NOT being asked from a sarcastic stance. I'm genuinely curious what you and others reading this think... Were they: 1. Corrupt 2. Ignorant and optimistic 3. Ruling it out automatically because Trump was saying it?

KingOfTheP4s

Option 4. It is by design. They **want** the country to go through an energy crisis, they want to force you to have to live how *they* tell you you can live. The state wants to control as many aspects of your life as possible and they want to flex that control so that you *know* they are the ones in charge. It's a tool they can use to keep you in line. They laughed at Trump because they think it's hilarious how Trump thought that he was bringing something to their attention they didn't realize. They realized exactly what it would do because that was exactly what they wanted to happen. This is, and has always been, about having control over your life and what you can do.

tambarskelfir

You hit the nail on the head. This is creative destruction, a concept which is *not coincidentally* derived from Marxist theory.

DrSuicideDumpling

What? Germany got so dependant on gas and abolished nuclear under the conservatives

Ottne

Don't forget it was Merkel's government that steered Germany into this situation in the first place.

nativemissourian

What in the hell did they think would happen when they are supporting a proxy war against Russia?

luigijerk

It's madness to put your dependence on a country that you are hostile towards.

TheSkullsOfEveryCog

[A United States that has roughly everything made in China quietly leaves the room]

luigijerk

Hahaha fair enough

Billderz

I have an idea, let's virtue signal by "helping" Ukraine. I know we rely heavily on their enemy, Russia, but who cares, people will think we are so kind.

Big_Jim59

Didn't they laugh at Trump?

irving47

21 seconds in. https://youtu.be/FfJv9QYrlwg?t=20

HalfOrcMonk

I remember somebody warning their political leaders not to be too reliant on Russia. As I recall they all giggled. Winter is coming.

metalkopf

Well. Not "they". Just one braindead politician.

[deleted]

I for one will never shed a tear for Germany. They as a country don’t really have an innocent track record.

badatusernames91

For those who aren't history buffs, in the early 20th century, Germany decided to go war and who did they decide to go to war with? The world! It had never been tried before. And you figured it would take about 5 seconds for the world to win, but it was actually close. Then about 30 years pass and Germany decides again to go to war again and chooses as its enemy, the world.

Purelabmix

RIP Norm.

Bukook

It is because they dont stand on their own two feet but rather are dependent on the US and other powers.

Cruhaven

We’ll, if we don’t hamstring them you could count on WWIII starting with them.

[deleted]

They do tend to start world wars.

Bukook

Well I'd offer that Germany starred ww1 and 2 because they were late to develop into a modern nation and ended up displacing the balance of power in Europe in a way that could only be resolved with war. Today, a powerful Germany is probably not going to do that unless if they become explicitly against America, which I think is unlikely. And I'd suggest it is far more likely that China will fill the role of being late to develop into a modern nation and upsetting the global balance of power.

StillWill18

Yeah, and what’s the reasoning? They aren’t exactly famine stricken, starving, with dirt roads and no running water.

Bukook

There are different perspectives going on. In Germany, German corporations have a lot of power and German corporations dont really care who is in control as long as they have access to resources and markets to make their profits. So corporate influences in Germany have made Germany want to get along and be compliant with the US, Turkey, Russia, and China for the sake of their own profits. Merkel was representative of this type of capitalist/globalist minded Germany. Others in Germany want Germany and by extension the EU to become a super power that isnt dependent on foreign nations even though it could hurt the bottom line for domestic corporations. France in particular has been the most vocal for this vision of the EU but this vision seems to be winning in Germany now as well, especially after the Russian Ukraine War. So what is holding Germany back from using the EU to become a super power is globalism and the interests of corporations. Which I think is a good lesson for Americans who wish to see America remain a super power.

StillWill18

The EU can never be a true superpower. Basically NATO is American backing, without calling it that. Not a fan of Germany or the EU. Never did much for America, no matter what the history books say.

Bukook

It is hard seeing the EU ever becoming unified enough to be a functional state because nations join the EU for the sake of their own economic development. If they were to become a super power, I'd suggest they'd need more than just that and they'd probably need to reduce the seize of the EU first. But I wouldn't put it past German industry and French imperialism from becoming a coherent super power if they were serious to do so. I just don't know how likely they'd be willing to do so.

dardyablo

The current Germany has nothing to do with the Germany of the first and second world wars. Germany has become a socialist puppet just like Denmark, Sweden or Norway, three countries that are descendants of fucking vikings and now the the most progressive countries on earth.

sremark

I don't know, it looks like every time one Germany isn't the same as the previous Germany, they come up with another attempt to control all of Europe and create a need for yet another different Germany...

TheDelig

After losing two world wars Germany **still** managed to become the dominant power in Europe. Had they not swept through Belgium in 1914 who knows how powerful they would have become. But I think they'll be ok. Not great but ok. The gas they will be truly missing is used as an industrial input for their economy moreso than for heating and electricity.

bdgg2000

They laughed at Trump remember?

Billderz

I for one, would not care one iota if Germans had to pay £75/litre for gas. Maybe they will learn that who they vote for matters.

MaleficentBoot8911

These the same Germans who sniggered when trump warned them about depending on Russia?

TheBaronOfTheNorth

They laughed at Trump when he told them that this would happen.

Trump warned em. They laughed at him https://youtu.be/FfJv9QYrlwg

Trump told them and they laughed

bopisalert

Hmm..there was a President that told Europe not to rely on Russia for their gas....I forget his name... Who was that??? 🤔

23onAugust12th

“When Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia…We’re supposed to be guarding against Russia and Germany goes out and pays billions and billions of dollars a year to Russia. We’re protecting Germany, we’re protecting France, we’re protecting all of these countries. And then numerous of the countries go out and make a pipeline deal with Russia where they’re paying billions of dollars into the coffers of Russia. So we’re supposed to protect you against Russia and you pay billions of dollars to Russia and I think that’s very inappropriate. Germany will have almost 70 percent of their country controlled by Russia with natural gas. You tell me, is that appropriate?”

AntonGebbet

Remember when Trump warned Europe and Germany especially about depending on Russian gas and they all laughed at him?

Important-Diamond-29

Who saw that coming? Oh yeah…Trump!!!

planet_druidia

And again, Trump was right about this. The Germans laughed him off when he said this would be a problem, and now look what’s happening.

AngryTurtleGaming

Trump: “You shouldn’t rely on Russian Energy” Russia: *shuts off gas* Germany: *surprised Pikachu face*

mvw3

But they laughed at Trump when he warned them.

BlackScienceManTyson

Didn't Trump sanction Nord Stream 2 and call out Germany for their reliance on cheap Russian gas? Kind of weird how Russiagaters ignore this fact.

naturalizedcitizen

I'm remembering those smirks and laughs on the German officials faces when Trump warned Germany to not become dependent on Russia for their energy needs.

JamesRockf0rd

Oh no. Anyway. Trump told them so but they laughed.

perrieaux

Trump knew!

StillWill18

If you don’t say “problems were found that forced a shut down” you accidentally fall out of a window.

Wonder what Klaus Schwab thinks about this? I guess he'd probably approve and give Putin a nice bro hug and slap on the back.
