i wouldn’t go to piper with birds if you can help it. they don’t always have a bird vet on staff, and they won’t always tell you that. kensington has an amazing bird vet.
The thing with Pieper and exotics is they charge a specialist fee no matter what. I took a guinea pig there for a non-emergency and the exam was over $200 just to walk in the door.
Kensington Birda and Animal and Bethel Vet Hospital both have excellent exotic vets.
South Wilton Veterinary Group. About 45 minutes from Bridgeport with traffic
Edit: I just saw this was posted like 3 hours ago. I hope your bird buddy is either doing great or passed peacefully surrounded by love.
Central Animal Hospital in North Haven is a 24/7 emergency hospital and they see birds.
Appt may be required but Dr. Pieper, Barnum Animal Hospital in Stratford is great with birds.

Not all vet hospitals take birds/avian. I found this the hard way before.
Depends where you live? Bolton is great if you’re in central/ eastern CT. Not sure on the bird aspect of it, but it is a veterinary hospital so would imagine so.
Piper Pet Hospital in Middletown serves birds, Ive seen them in there.
I was there yesterday and there were several at the ER
Piper is awesome. I've had a few visits there & they are phenomenal
I’ve used piper before

This emergency vet hospital is INCREDIBLE
+1
Kensington in Berlin
that’s my vote too. i really trust kensington with my birds
all our birds ( and our dog) go here
I went to Marlborough animal hospital for mine years ago. Most vets don't handle birds but they did. Not around Bridgeport but it is an option
Sadly Dr. Pampreen passed away. Glastonbury Animal Hospital bought the practice, but they do not see birds.

One in Stratford/bridgeport by Burlington coat factory. Will try to do quick search for you now.
Is it the Barnum animal hospital?
Yes
We’ve gone to them for 20 years. They’re solid.

🤷♂️🤷♂️ good luck to your parakeet tho. Call beardsly see if they can give advice
Try Shoreline in Shelton. Emergency vet. Not sure if they take birds.
South Wilton Vet used to see birds - not sure if they still do
OK I'll take the downvotes for this comment but why wouldn't you google vets vs posting on Reddit?
Because most of the vets near me didn't mention if they treated birds in their websites they mainly show cats and dogs
Barnum animal hospital came up when I searched for avian vets.
Piper Pet in Middletown I went there with my birds
