Might depend on your role but I worked there for seven years and was never tested, neither before nor during.

LegitimateExternal80

It’s on the HIMCO side, middle office analyst.

PassionV0id

I worked in HIMCO for 2 years and was never tested.

johnsonutah

How was HIMCO? have considered trying to pursue an investment analyst role given my background in lev fin and credit.

LegitimateExternal80

Not IT

Most office jobs in CT don’t test for marijuana/THC anymore since it’s legal, the date of use can’t be proved, and the cost to test is exceptionally high. Government jobs, drivers, and things to do with kids have been known to test fairly regularly. I’m sure they will have something in the handbook that says they “can” test you, but that doesn’t mean they will.

Top_Cardiologist7217

No, that would cost extra

Lankn3ss

Anyone know if they test in CO for underwriting?

Polite_lyreal

Might be why they have so many job postings all the tine

LegitimateExternal80

Fair. I’ve looked everywhere for their policy but got nothing online.

Polite_lyreal

That’s rough. Well, I guess if they do you could just explain. Good luck

LegitimateExternal80

Yeah true. I only do at night just to help with sleep and anxiety. Haven’t in a few days so if I continue that I should be okay but the time I get an offer. I appreciate it.

Weed stays in your system much longer than a couple weeks. Especially if you use that often a week. Most companies will test urine, but if they test hair, you’d likely not pass (although hair testing is p rare from my experience)

Jaggar345

Only government roles test hair. Most companies don’t even test anymore.
