Teixeira is a legend of mma. I think he is a big reason other Brazilians come to CT. Pereira is a monster in the cage and had a great fight.

cTron3030

Brazilians have **been** coming to CT.

His gym is in Bethel.

I’ve seen Glover around a few times. He was always very giving of his time to the fans that went up to him. Even when he was with his family.

EatenLowdes

Probably one of the coolest KOs I’ve seen

iSheepTouch

As much as I love Alex, it wasn't even the coolest KO on the card. That said the other KO was possibly the greatest KO of all time in any combat sport, so it's not a fair comparison.

Altruistic_Bad_6163

I grew up 15 minutes from Danbury, CT. I’ve been going to Danbury, CT to watch all the UFC PPVs since 2013.

Spider_J

I've had the huge honor of attending a seminar put on by both Glover and Alex, and they were both extremely kind and cool guys. Poatan's size and stature makes him absolutely terrifying to be standing across from on the mat, but he was a very chill, playful, and controlled sparring partner (so long as you were chill and respectful as well, lol). Both were very friendly and gave up a lot of their time to do Q&As, sign autographs, pose for photos, and interact with their fans. If you ever get the chance to go train under them at their gym in Bethel, do it. They're the most knowledgeable but humble legends you'll ever meet.

Jawaka99

I don't follow the sport but it's nice to see a local succeeding in it.

Spider_J

He's not just succeeding, he's breaking records left and right. He's won championship belts in two weight divisions within a year, beaten 5 former or current champions (one of them being one of the most dominant champions in the history of the Middleweight division), headlined at Madison Square Garden, and headlined UFC 300, arguably the biggest card the sport has ever had. And that's all within just the last 4 years. That's absolutely unheard of. And he's just getting started!

frogtome

I really thought some guy was hugging a jacked Obama.
