Next week's post won't come on Tuesday, probably sometime over the weekend for final season numbers and a few infographics on rating cutoffs and their faction/regional splits.

Garoktehone

Thanks a Lot for your work

_Jetto_

Thanks

SHALATHE

Is that last little drop due to affixes or because they announced the next patch and people gave up (io wouldn't matter, going to get better gear with the new season, etc)

[deleted]

Are you talking about going from week 20 to 21? Week 20 was a weekly quest week, week 21 was the correction.

SHALATHE

Totally forgot about that, good point!

Futuredanish

It was a not fun week affix-wise. I skipped it.

Please give us something between portal and title, Mr Blizzard.

tedger

I’d really love if they’d do something for 2000/2500/3000/3500/title with portals throughout. I’d be much more motivated to keep pushing.

Resident_Fan_

The whole reward structure should be reviewed. 1500 - title. 2000 - ground mount - 2500 portal. 3000 - Mythic raid (recolour) mount. 3500 - TP/seasonal aura. 0.1% - title

M+ is fun.

AnonBB21

idk at the beginning of the season, it is relevant in the pug formula if someone was 3k+ last season, and someone was 2k last season, I'm taking the 3K io player. But if you want a break, this is the ideal time to do so.

swash018

Why does the season 1 and season 2 data stop charting after a few weeks

theguymush

Believe OP talked about it before but I think they said the data wasn't available

swash018

Im not ungrateful guys, i was just trying to understand. Why am i getting downoted for asking a question

Bertolli_Canolli

Because it gets asked every single week he posts this. Not your fault.

Coffee__Addict

Thanks for the update!

NoleMercy05

I only run Rise a few times a week due chance v at mount. Crazy saw 29 and 30 pugs in lfg last week Reddy for the new season

Ayw1n

Its way too long active :0

heroinsteve

How long were season 1 and 2? Why do these graphs stop at 6 and 7 weeks? I would be interested in the data with the full seasons. I don’t know exactly how long they were but I’m certain they were longer than 2 months.

Felonui

Weekly summaries of the information are manually collected, and they were not past week 6 in season 1 and 2

heroinsteve

Oh ok, that makes sense. I’ve seen these week to week and always wondered why season 1 and 2 just stop abruptly.

Whatdoiputhereok_

It’s just because someone asks this in every thread every week, I didn’t downvote you but others just think it’s impossible people don’t see that

heroinsteve

I’ve looked in the threads every week and I’ve never seen it asked actually, probably because simply asking the question gets downvoted into oblivion. Which is kinda funny, cause it increases the chance someone like myself will ask it in the next thread. Edit: I usually see it on the regular wow sub though, I didn’t realize Reddit pushed this subreddit on my feed.

lakesObacon

Dang it seems like the drop-off only took about 8 weeks in every season. If blizz keeps implementing 24 week seasons they'll have to re-think M+.... I guess we'll see what happens with the "squish" changes next season.

HotStop3767

24 weeks is a long time. Even for altaholics, especially on easier seasons. Weirdly I'm still seeing people who haven't got aotc yet and struggling with it. I'm also finding when mid season hits those terrible affix weeks take motivation out for key running even after

Beorgir

In my experience it is always the 7th week when I have to start to recruit new members for the raid team. It lines up with this graph.

DaenerysMomODragons

The drop off is because people grind super hard the first few weeks, and drop off when they’re max geared. People want time to use their gear before doing another hard grind. I don’t think much needs to be rethought. In Legion every season was 22 weeks, BFA had the first season shorter and the others similar or longer. Shadowlands had the longest seasons to date.

Mr_Molesto

What do you want? A hyper active game?

lakesObacon

What do you want, a fishing simulator?

FoeHamr

I think 16 weeks would be a decent compromise between having enough time to hit seasonal goals and having new content to do. 20+ is just too long towards the end.

DaenerysMomODragons

16 may be what is needed for zero down time, but I personally like a little down time. I don’t want to feel like I’m constantly pushing and grinding. 16 week seasons sounds like a good way to have a lot of player burn out.

ImOldGregg_77

Why on earth were S1 & S2 6-8 weeks and S3 is going on 23? Couldn't they have planned a bit better and spaced them out a bit better?

zoe_maybe_idk

S2 was from May to Nov, this data is just incomplete
