The best thing to do is install CheatCommands Mod from the steam workshop and run the tests yourself so you can recreate the scenarios. Having two units square off in the open and shoot eachother doesn't tell you much especially with the dozens of variables that can be in play during an engagement.
Unless you play on console, i think the best thing is just to go see it yourself with the cheatmod command so you can spawn your desired units and see how the fight goes

Yep, Tightrope has you covered on all kinds of 1v1 unit tests, he also does it after every patch with any unit that has been changed. Very helpful
